Hatred Of Children Toward Their Parents

laitman_583.03Question: One of the problems of modern times is that children hate their parents. There are many such cases. Children leave their parents, neglect them. These poor parents die alone despite the fact that they have many children. This is happening all over the world. Why did this happen?
Answer: We are rising from the level of beastly egoism to the level of spiritual or human egoism. But being human already means a spiritual level that does not exist in our world.
Therefore, we are losing the beastly connection that we had between us when parents lived together with their children, they would bring a bride, bring a groom or go to the groom, etc. And everything was one household.
Question: Could they live in the same house?
Answer: Yes. Even in the same room. Everything was so simple. Now all of this is changing because egoism is changing in our world.
Question: In other words, egoism enabled us to do this?
Answer: Yes. This is beastly egoism. And now, it begins to grow. It begins to push us to the next level of development. And therefore, we no longer understand the beastly kind of existence. Our children certainly do not understand it.
They are in such a state that they do not understand why they need to be attached to their parents. Or, I think that parents should spend their whole life with me. Why did they give birth to me? As long as they live, they must think of me. Or, if they are not concerned about me, so be it. I just leave them.
Question: How can a child feel this way toward his parents?
Answer: But he does not feel.
Question: He does not feel any pain, anything at all?
Answer: He does not. Because he has outgrown his beastly egoism and does not feel any connection with his parents, does not feel that he must help them, support them, think about them, and so on. Do not imagine something that does not exist. You cannot bring this back.
Lately, this is all dying out and it does not exist any more. That is, if you help your children, then they need you. You can be close to them. If you stop helping them, they do not need you. This is how it happens.
Comment: The only thing that bothers me is that you are generalizing. There are also normal relationships.
My Response: I am talking about the tendency of nature. This is why I am generalizing.
Question: So, what is next?
Answer: In our generation, parents are still able to give something, to direct, to leave children their possessions, and so on. In the next generation, however, there will be a breaking.
There will be such a relationship between parents and children that if they have the same spiritual goals, they will be somehow connected through them. If not, people will forget about their parents altogether. And frankly, parents will also not think about their children.
Question: What will parents think about?
Answer: How to spend time quietly with their elderly friends.
Question: With dogs and cats?
Answer: Yes. All kinds of game clubs will open; say, clubs for playing dominos or something else.
Question: What is good about this?
Answer: Nothing. A person must simply understand how he should be connected with others today. This is a completely different system, not a system of beastly corporeal connections.
Question: Is this not a parent-child system?
Answer: This is a system when parents and children, each individually, reveal the common goal. Then this goal connects them together.
Question: What is this goal?
Answer: This goal is to attain the meaning of life. For parents, children, and grandchildren. It is always one. If they reveal it and attach themselves to it, then they feel the need to be connected with each other and to help each other in this.
Question: What common purpose of life are you talking about? If parents have one goal with the children?
Answer: Parents will then be able to push their children toward the correct goal. Then the connection between them will be both corporeal and spiritual—for the revelation of the Creator between them.
Question: What is the revelation of the Creator?
Answer: The revelation of the Creator is the revelation of mutual connection and love.
Question: Only between them?
Answer: To begin with.
Question: You mean in this cell: children and parents?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Don’t they want to reveal this now?
Answer: They do not want to. Has anyone told them about this? Has anyone directed them toward this?
Question: Doesn’t their natural relationship suggest that someone has told them?
Answer: Of course not.
Comment: You are tough today.
My Response: I am not harsh. This is what is unfolding in the world. Am I harsh? You made the world this way.
Comment: But this truth you are now saying, I can imagine how many comments there will be.
My Response: I am for not hiding this truth. On the contrary, I suggest revealing it so that people can see what a low state they are in and what it leads to.
Question: What conclusion should a person draw after your harsh words: that there will be a breaking between parents and grandchildren and children, and that this is natural?
Answer: If they do not find a common goal, there will be nothing that connects them. Nothing at all.
Question: Are you calling on them to seek this common goal?
Answer: Yes.

In Search Of A Spiritual Attribute

laitman_938.02Question: To what extent can a rhythmic “tango” with the friends and with the Creator help us achieve the internal unity and the feeling of the Creator?
Answer: When we try to unite between us in the center of the circle, phenomena of closeness and distancing, closeness and distancing, naturally appear in different attributes, qualities, and quantities.
The most important thing for us is to try to yearn and aspire for this. Actual attainment is less important. The yearning is more important. The Creator responds to our desire and what is important are our efforts and not the fact that we seemingly attain something.
When we make efforts, we must also ask Him, which means include Him in our actions, as a partner. By yearning for the center of the circle and at the same time also asking the Creator to be with me, to help me, to sharpen my senses, to push me toward the friends and the friends toward me, I constantly want to find the center of the circle together with the friends and with the Creator, and the Creator constantly evades us, and we constantly try to find Him.
This is what the search for the spiritual attribute that is not in us comes down to. But it is actually this way when ten egoists try to connect in one point that we reveal it. The spiritual attribute is created in this point between us and we reveal the Creator in it.

“The Birth Of A New World” (Thrive Global)

Thrive Global published my new article: “The Birth of a New World
The new positive reality we can expect after the coronavirus crisis
FILE PHOTO: A trader wears a mask as he works on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) as the building prepares to close indefinitely due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak in New York, U.S., March 20, 2020. REUTERS/Lucas Jackson/File Photo
Uncertainty, fear and anxiety are the agents of massive contagion when people face a sudden and drastic shift like the one we now experience with the coronavirus pandemic, but the outbreak is actually a prelude to a profound positive change. The word mashber (crisis) in Hebrew means “the place of birth.” This breakdown actually signals the beginning of something new.
Similarly, in the works of Hippocrates, the term “crisis” was applied to the end of an illness. Although in order to experience a new beginning, we need to overcome a transition period that might be painful and dramatic, as with labor pains. The world is coping with strong contractions set off by COVID-19 in every possible area of human society, as the planet can no longer put up with the person’s attitude toward nature.
“The crisis is helping us attain that level of awareness—where we start feeling as parts of a single system, one mechanism. Within the circular structure in which we exist, only together can we give birth to a new reality, to a higher, positive degree of humanity.”
Michael Laitman
The Purpose of Creation
Creation’s plan is to elevate humanity to a new level of existence. Thus, the blows currently affecting humanity are in fact tremendous forces from nature to protect and heal itself, showing us what we do wrong: caring only about ourselves to the detriment of others—a misdirected human ego. We will understand its message by trying to become an integral part of the ecosystem—to which we all belong—instead of misusing and sabotaging it.
What we now perceive as an unbearable situation is, in fact, an accumulation and intensification of numerous crises on multiple levels we have been amassing for a long time, not only ecologically, but also financially; between couples, families and people; in every aspect of our lives. The epidemic did not arrive by chance, it serves a purpose: to cure our disconnection and imbalanced relations that harm nature.
Rethinking Our Priorities
We have built our world in such a way that we have become modern-day slaves, working 12-hour days, commuting back and forth. Children hardly spend time with their parents. The governments have printed money and created debt, and society has created piles of unnecessary products. The virus’ appearance has forced us to scrutinize what we have in this world and ponder the question: what do we live for? Is it to make money? Or is it to have children and die? We have to go through a process of appraisal in order to find answers.
It would be naïve to think that the transition to a new reality would be light and easy, but the passage must take place. Thousands of lives are being lost while the global economy might be doomed to collapse. Thus, it is hard in these circumstances to foresee light on the horizon. Already thousands of years ago, the wisdom of Kabbalah referred to this time as a special one, a period when important changes would be revealed after we exceeded our egoistic development, a time finally leading us to a remarkable renewal. As Kabbalist Yehuda Ashlag (Baal HaSulam) wrote: “The mind sees what it has been through, and corrects its future conducts.” (The Writings of the Last Generation)
What will be the outcome of the current crisis? It is my hope that we will grow wiser as we will see what really matters in life more clearly. Also, I hope that we will arrange a new and more balanced world in which we will feel no fulfillment in taking advantage of others for personal gain and harming the environment, because of the realization that, at the end of the day, it will have negative consequences for all. This positive transformation will require a gradual process of adaptation to this new reality, and it will demand from each of us that we actively engage in the building of a society that is entirely connected. How? By studying and replicating the attributes of nature, where everything is interdependent, existing in homeostasis and reciprocal relations, where all the parts exchange the nutrients and information needed for the well-being of the entire system.
The crisis is helping us attain that level of awareness—where we start feeling as parts of a single system, one mechanism. Within the circular structure in which we exist, only together can we give birth to a new reality, to a higher, positive degree of humanity.

“How To Overcome Coronavirus-Related Anxiety” (Thrive Global)

Thrive Global published my new article: “How to Overcome Coronavirus-Related Anxiety
By becoming more considerate and responsible for others, we become more like nature.
If we use the coronavirus period to learn about how it fits into nature’s plan of raising humanity to complete and harmonious connection, and also how it emerged to show us the flaw of our self-centered approaches to each other, where by doing so, we can think about how we can better connect to each other, we will then have a solid foundation to overcome anxiety during this pandemic.
Overcoming coronavirus-related anxiety requires facing the concerns that the virus is here to stay, that we should learn how to guard ourselves from it, that the cure will be quite complicated to find, and that by reaching a solution to the pandemic, we might even suddenly discover a new one that is more harmful, which could even be a mutation of the same virus that we were unprepared for.
How could raising these concerns possibly help us overcome coronavirus-related anxiety?
It should be no problem at all to raise such concerns. Instead of distracting ourselves from these concerns, if we emphasize the ultimate remedy above them all: that by using this period to positively connect to each other—to seek how we can change our emphasis from constantly looking for how to benefit ourselves to aiming at benefiting others—we will awaken nature’s positive force of connection, love and bestowal. And the force of nature has the power to “disinfect” everything.
Thinking about How to Contribute to Others Is the Key to Overcoming Anxiety
Think about it: if you stopped being concerned about yourself and focused on others—how to help them, contribute to them, and raise their mood—you would then have no “space” inside yourself where you could feel anxious. Moreover, you would be protected against viruses and other harmful forces in reality, since they all attach to the egoistic concern for self-benefit.
In short, by becoming more considerate and responsible for others, we become more like nature. Thus, the best possible use of our time during this pandemic would be to adjust our attitudes to each other, to turn our inner knobs from benefiting ourselves to benefiting others, and then the positive connection we will reveal as a result of our coming into balance with nature will bring about harmony, happiness and peace to our lives.
Our Main Problem Is Seeing That We’re Not in Control—Nature Is
Our main problem is that we fail to see how nature is in control, that nature is an established thought and plan, and that we are parts developing according to the process that it laid out for us to undertake. On the contrary, we believe that we are the ones with exceptional knowledge and intellect.
If we would think the contrary, that our perception is incomplete, and that nature’s is whole—that nature created, develops and raises us—then we would have no choice but to acknowledge nature’s superiority. We would then willingly observe nature’s ultimate integral law—mutual connection, consideration and responsibility among all of its parts, similar to how cells and organs function in an organism.
If we observe such a law, we will then experience a positive reaction from nature: balance, harmony, peace, love, unity and happiness.
If we fail to match nature’s integrality, we will then feel increasingly negative feedback on personal, social and ecological scales, from viruses, climate change and natural disasters through to wars, xenophobia and civil unrest, as well as increasing cases of anxiety, depression, stress, drug abuse, suicides, and many other negative phenomena.
I thus hope that we will use this coronavirus era we have entered wisely, realizing that our wisdom is limited, that nature’s wisdom is immense, and that we would do wisely to start adjusting our attitudes, bringing them closer to nature.

“Must Restore Spiritual Connections Amid Pandemic” (Newsmax)

We are not used to the coronavirus. We have no idea how we will come out of it and where we will head from here.
If anyone thinks that it will pass in a few weeks, it won’t. We are in a new state that will endure the summer and head into the winter afterward.
When will this pandemic come to an end?
It will come to an end when we will improve human connections. To understand why this is so, we require deeper awareness of how nature works.
Before the coronavirus closed in on us, we acted out of a steroid-pumped desire to profit from one another in order to each fulfill self-serving interests.
Our concern for other people and our planet was overshadowed by a concern for ourselves. As such, our self-concern made us look at nature and other people solely through a lens of how to use them in order to benefit ourselves maximally.
Nature thus needed to teach us a lesson. And it did, in a very dramatic, cunning, caring and rigorous manner.
We looked like siblings fighting over our toys, and then nature, like a strict parent, ordered us to stop our quarrels, go into our separate rooms, think about how we were misbehaving, and how we should behave toward each other when nature lets us out again.
I thus hope that we will treat the period we are in seriously, that we will use the time we now have to realize our tight interconnectedness and interdependence among each other and with nature.
The coronavirus helps us see just how equal we are. It makes no distinction between rich and poor, boss and worker, famous and unknown — we are all equal in the face of this blow.
I understand the complications we have in seeing all people as equal, because we have been raised to categorize and class people in certain ways, but we have no choice: Nature shows us through this virus that it considers us all as equals, and we would be wise to try and see ourselves the same as how nature does.
Even multi-billionaire elites who escaped to their private islands and underground bunkers are still unsafe from the coronavirus. The virus appeared in many places where we still have no understanding of how it could have possibly done so. Therefore, even in such getaway areas, people are prone to the virus as is everyone, because there is a completely different reason for the virus’ presence than we can currently comprehend.
Therefore, the sooner we relate to everyone as equal — caring about all people in the world as much as we care about ourselves — we will then very quickly rise above this blow nature sent us, and progress to more and more connection among each other in calmer and more peaceful conditions.

“What We Can Learn From The Coronavirus Pandemic” (Thrive Global)

Thrive Global published my new article: “What We Can Learn From the Coronavirus Pandemic
If we continue relating to each other negatively, we will set conditions for more viruses and problems to surface.
Vendor Cedric McIver gives change back to a customer at the Farmers Public Market in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S., March 21, 2020. Picture taken March 21, 2020. REUTERS/Nick Oxford
Unlike pandemics of the past, which affected localities and regions, the coronavirus pandemic is global. It affects everyone in the world.
Today, humanity shares a common concern as the virus has spread around the planet, taking no notice of any man-made national borders or social status classifications. Moreover, experts predict that the pandemic will last at least a year until we develop the means to combat it.
The pandemic has alerted us to face some serious questions:
· What needs to happen in order for us to exit the pandemic and return to our normal lives?
· Other than following government guidelines, what is required of us during this pandemic?
· Why do such overwhelming and confusing problems emerge in the first place?
· How can we solve this and the many other problems we face in our lives?
On one hand, the pandemic highlights the vastness of our global interconnectedness and interdependence. On the other hand, our connections are egoistic, where each person lives with an emphasis of self-benefit over the benefit of others.
While we live interdependently with each one tugging toward him- or herself on the single rope that ties us all together, then we end up in such situations when the connections between us tear apart and we all fall down. That is what we now experience with the mass social distancing that emerged as part of the pandemic’s chain of events.
The current pandemic has only just begun to expose the grimness of the competitive-egoistic paradigm we lived according to. Now, while we are physically remote from each other, the wisest use of our time would be to work out how an optimal form of human connection would appear.
We will have to reach harmonious and balanced connections with each other as it is the only way to experience harmony and balance with nature.
Michael Laitman
Also, while depicting perfect connection among people to ourselves, we should think about how we can create positive and unified connections that no virus would be able to break through.
In other words, the coronavirus is nature’s way of telling us that our connection with each other is flawed: that we each prioritize self-benefit over benefiting others.
How, then, can we start repairing this flaw?
We can do so by starting to learn about the laws of nature, about how nature is a quality of love and bestowal that guides everyone toward increasingly unified states, how all of our problems stem from our imbalance with nature, how balance with nature will solve all of our problems, and also that balance with nature means caring about others no less than we care about ourselves.
Since the coronavirus is humanity’s common problem, showing us how we are all parts of a single globally interdependent system, it thus demands that humanity wake up to the need for mutual consideration and responsibility.
Therefore, in order to encourage more closeness and balance with nature, humanity would do well to at least extract the following two takeaways during the course of this pandemic:
1) The coronavirus pandemic is no coincidence. It is a part of a process through which nature guides humanity, and it thus strives to positively connect us all into a single system.
2) In this system, there are laws that nature will obligate us to accept, either willingly — through our own initiative to positively connect above our egoistic drives — or unwillingly — through problems and crises such as the coronavirus that surface in order to rattle our ego-based infrastructures, so that we start contemplating and revising the way our lives are headed, until we seek a different direction, the focus on benefiting others over benefiting ourselves.
Nature is leading us to a positive and complete form of connection. One way or another, either with our agreement to positively connect and experience its process enjoyably, or with our disagreement to positively connect and endure its blows, there is no way out of this process.
We will have to reach harmonious and balanced connections with each other as it is the only way to experience harmony and balance with nature.
If we continue relating to each other negatively, we will set conditions for more viruses and problems to surface. That is, all problems appear in places of our neglected chances to establish positive connections upon our negative ones.
Therefore, I hope that we will use this period of social distancing we have been placed in for introspection, and learn how we can ultimately become more connected and similar to nature’s perfectly connected form.

Spiritual Holidays, Part 7

laitman_293.1Purim is the Complete Correction of the Soul
There are two types of correction: the absence of receiving is to reach the level of Hanukkah, and receiving for the sake of others is to reach the next level, from Hanukkah to Purim.
Purim is the use of one’s egoistic desires not for oneself, but for the sake of others.
I can address all my arsenal, all my qualities in my heart and mind, in my feelings and thoughts, to the world, from myself outward. This is what we need to do. It is how we reach the next very high degree—the complete correction of the soul, which is called Purim.
Purim” is from the word “Pur (lot).” You as if cast a lot because at the level you have reached everything happens above reason, only in complete bestowal.
Question: Why did the events of Purim occur about 2,500 years ago and Hanukkah—in the second century BC? It would seem that it should be the other way around.
Answer: It does not matter.
Question: Are historical events related to this?
Answer: No. Moreover, it all cascades from above downward, and in our time, it ascends from below upward. This is a backward count.

Touch The Upper World

Laitman_138Question: What does it mean to connect opposites?
My Answer: Basically, we all are opposite to each other. Our connection is built on the fact that, although we are completely different, we still want to connect and hold on to each other despite our differences, oppositeness, and even rejection toward each other.
After all, the spiritual vessel in which the Creator is revealed consists of ten absolutely opposite qualities. And although none of us sees any possibility of uniting with the other, yet when we push off ourselves, we connect above ourselves, against our properties. At first, it is a very unpleasant feeling.
For example, you are disgusted by something, you cannot even touch it, but you overcome yourself and touch what is so unpleasant to you. This is the feeling that the sensation of the Creator and the upper world is built on. Because these categories are absolutely opposite, reversed to us, we instinctively reject them.
We all want only to receive for ourselves and now we suddenly have to bestow. This is a feeling I cannot touch. It is like kissing a frog. And then, everything opens up, and it becomes a beautiful princess.

How To Help A Person With An Awakening Point in the Heart?

laitman_565.01Question: If I suddenly find people around me with a prominent awakening point in the heart, what is the most correct thing to do?
Answer: If the point in the heart awakens in you, it means that you are drawn to attain the system that controls everything. You must reveal what fate is, why you exist, how to understand the system that governs the world. You need to engage in your spiritual development.
And if you meet people with the same craving for spirituality, invite them to an introductory lecture or to our webinar. You must help them. This will attract you to Kabbalah even more because they will receive spiritual energy through you.
Even if you do not see them anymore, but you restore their contact with the higher source, then their connection with it will go through you, and thanks to them, you will advance. So, it is worth doing it.

What Do We Receive From The Creator?

laitman_565.01Question: All these corporeal pleasures that we usually receive: food, entertainment, sex, etc., come to us through the so-called “pleasure center” in the brain. Research in this area shows that we even receive spiritual experiences through this center.
How can we grasp which pleasures we actually receive from the Creator, from the upper worlds?
Answer: All pleasures come from the Creator, no matter what they are, good or bad, pleasures from loving someone and bestowing to him, or from taking or stealing something from someone. In each case, it all goes through the same system.
The question is what happens to us: does it distance us from the Creator or does it bring us closer to Him? That is the whole difference.

The Epidemic Is Not Punishment But Remedy

laitman_961.2Throughout history, we have received many signs of attention from the Creator, the good that does good. But by existing in egoistic qualities that are opposite to the Creator, we have perceived these manifestations of love and care as blows and did not feel the need to change.
This is how loving parents push their child to learn while he only wants to play, does not listen to them, and thinks that his parents hate him.
This is exactly what is happening in the world—crises, wars, disasters, epidemics—the path of suffering that humanity has gone through. And this is because we have refused to accept the governance of the Creator as absolutely good and always bringing good, that is, to adjust ourselves to this governance.
We wanted to run away from the instructions of the Creator like children who do not listen to their parents and hide and argue all the time. This is why our life has been so bitter until today.
But now we are experiencing a special blow like no other. It comes to calm down the entire world, all of humanity, and to make us as one whole. Just as parents lose their patience and tell the children: “That is enough, calm down now!” And they take such a strict action that they actually calm down.
The upper governance is descending and closing in on us more and more, beginning to deal with us closely, individually, and directly.
Why did humanity take this blow so hard? Why does the coronavirus hold us in such fear? We are used to many people dying and being born each year in every country. Why are we so scared of this particular virus?
We know that within a hundred years the entire population of the world will change: everyone will die and new people will be born, but we do not make a tragedy out of it. The virus, however, is a psychological blow. A hidden pest is between us, we do not see or feel it, and we do not know where it will strike us from.
However, the virus really acts for our benefit by ordering us to distance ourselves from each other and not to leave the house. It is as if it tells me: “If you cannot treat each other nicely, stay at home! And if a little bit of goodness appears, you can come out but keep a distance of ten meters between you.”
The virus shows us our true relationships: that we are unable to stay together, and if we connect, we pass viruses to each other because we are egoists. This virus is the revelation of the upper governance.
The virus separates people from each other to the extent of their egoism. It forces them to stay at home instead of engaging in all sorts of useless, far-fetched things. It shows us a better kind of connection that we can have. And it did not come to harm and kill us but to organize our life correctly. This is the hand of the Creator educating us with mercy.
The epidemic is not punishment but the remedy. The virus cools down our relationships fueled by egoism, the desire to win, succeed, and exploit others for personal gain. It halts this entire race.

Stepping Over Into One Heart

laitman_275The virus separates us physically, but because of it, we begin to look for ways to connect more internally. The lack of physical connection awakens us and helps us understand that we need inner closeness.
Let there be an infinite distance between us, but we will still step over it and feel like “one man with one heart” and not just that we are in the same room. Then, in this common heart, we will feel the Creator within us.
[261881]
From the 1st part of the Daily Kabbalah Lesson 3/18/20, Lesson on the Topic “Pesach (Passover)”

Antibodies Against Egoism

laitman_961.2The coronavirus is the consequence of the broken connection between people. Everything is harmoniously connected in nature, at the level of elementary particles, that is, inanimate matter, as well as at the vegetative and animate levels.
At these levels, everyone uses others only to the extent necessary to which its natural instinct obliges. A wolf catches and eats the sheep not because it wishes to harm the sheep, the wolf just needs to eat it in order to survive. But after the wolf is full, it will not touch other sheep. It will have no other desire to kill them.
If a person appears instead of the wolf, he will kill all the sheep, send the meat to the store, make money, and find how to spend it for his own pleasure.
The person’s egoism knows no boundaries. His desire to enjoy does not remain within the animalistic pleasures for food, sex, and family. He tries to use others to his advantage, to conquer the whole world, to rise above all with the help of money, honor, and power. And this desire destroys our lives, making us enemies of each other.
Wealth, fame, and knowledge are egoistic fulfillments that require a person to be above others. And so, he launches all kinds of tricks to gain money from others. This already involves competition.
We do not compete with each other concerning food, sex, and family; we simply enjoy them like any animal would. However, the human level is characterized by the fact that it requires money, honor, and knowledge. This egoistic desire cannot be satisfied; it demands more and more.
But nature, which is an integral, global system, disagrees with this, just as a tree disagrees with being chopped down. Nature resists and produces antibodies that prevent a person from invading and destroying natural systems.
Nature is an integral law that binds all elements together and does not allow one to rule but only to maintain mutual connection with the rest of the elements. Therefore, as soon as we go too far with our self-interest, we immediately feel the resistance from other people, society, or some parts of nature.
Further advancement is possible only on the condition that a person observes the integral law of nature, not forgetting that we are all inside the same sphere connected by one network.
The universe and the Earth with everything that is on it: inanimate nature, plants, animals, and people are included in one mechanism and depend on one another. In this whole system, there is only one law, which requires everyone to complement each other.
Human egoism is the only component that hates everyone and wants to use everyone for its own benefit. Not only do we humans want to use nature, but we also fight with each other.
Egoism has led us to a global world in our quest to earn more and more from each other. But we did not aspire for good connections between us, which would contribute to all parts of nature. On the contrary, wherever a person infiltrated nature, he tried to subjugate it, destroying entire species out of whim, not thinking about future generations and not even his own tomorrow.
It is said: “Go make a living off of each other.” That is, each produces something of his own: one grows cucumbers and the other bakes bread so we exchange with each other. But gradually, this positive phenomenon becomes negative because every egoist wants to be a monopolist and defeat everyone.
Someone opens a bakery, then another, then a third, and we begin to compete with each other, add chemical additives to bread, drain the earth without thinking about the future. The main thing is to succeed in the eyes of others, to earn money, honor, and power. We are ready to act even to our own detriment, like the United States and Russia, which are throwing huge amounts of money into weapons, but cannot stop their confrontation.
People are becoming bigger egoists and want to enslave and exploit each other more and more to such an extent that a reaction suddenly comes from the biological level in the form of a virus. How exactly is the human level associated with a primitive virus? The fact is that all levels are connected with each other: inanimate, vegetative, and animate nature and humans are connected in one system.
Therefore, a dispute occurs between people and an earthquake occurs in response to it. Everything in nature began with one small particle that began to increasingly unite with other particles. And so atoms arose, and then living molecules started transmitting energy and information to each other until more complex organisms appeared.
There is not a single tiny particle in the universe that would not be connected through this field with the entire universe, with each of its elements at all levels: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human. And the most decisive connection is on the human level, on the level of thought, that is, relations—it determines and controls everything.
The speed of thought is infinite; it is not limited by the speed of light, and therefore, everything is clarified in thought. And he who does not understand that all parts of nature are connected into one system is like a child who says that the cup fell and broke by itself.
So, the main conclusion from the global epidemic of the coronavirus will be that relations between people, the network connecting us, is the most important and highest phenomenon in this world that defines our whole life. If we bring it into balance, then we will restore harmony at all levels and live as if we are in heaven.

What The Coronavirus Teaches Us

Dr Michael LaitmanHumanity has come a long way in its development and has reached the point that it begins to feel like one organism. We need to thank the coronavirus for bringing the whole world to such unity. If this epidemic drags out, then humanity will discover that we indeed belong to one system, and we are all dependent on one another.
So far, this dependence is expressed in the fact that from fear of infection, I close myself off from others and disconnect from the negative connection.
But let’s start revealing a positive dependence! If we connect correctly, we will begin to produce positive viruses.
Right now nature is unveiling harmful viruses to us as the revelation of evil. But then we must continue this process for the realization of goodness, we will find out that by uniting with one another, we can achieve tremendous success.
The main solution is not in the cessation of air flights or revival of a paralyzed economy, but in the connection between people. The virus will begin to disappear if there is at least a slight shift toward unification, and then we will see that we don’t want to break ties with each other because we want to connect. And we want to contact each other not to wander around the world again from end to end, but because we want to connect with people.
The previous connection was poor, but now we will build a good connection. It is this medicine that we want to use in this critical condition: to restore our connection, but on a whole different level, being kind instead of using one another. By virtue of our connection, we defeat any evil, any virus, and come to a good life.
Nature will lead us to this goal anyway, and if we ourselves are willing to move toward it, we won’t have to get infected with different viruses along the way. It all depends on our request for the correction of relationships between people. This knowledge should be spread throughout the world in all forms: in thoughts, conversations, and actions. And then the higher power, nature, will do its job. A higher power binds all parts of creation together. And we want to correct the human level where the shattering occurred, return it to its unity so we can see it in its true form not distorted by our selfish vision. By correcting ourselves, we are correcting reality.
Coronavirus reveals our negative dependence on one another to us. First, we discover that we are unable to survive without working together, without earning from one another. It should be clear to everyone that each of us is being sustained by the whole world. But all this can be continued only on condition that our connection becomes positive. A negative connection destroys humanity and we cannot continue to exist in this form. The world will fall into such a state that a person will have nothing to eat and nothing to breathe.
Imagine how beautiful life will become if humanity is united, like all other parts of nature, inanimate, vegetative and animate, into one integral system where everyone includes all others in himself. Where can we get a force that will unite us into one organism, sew and glue us into one system? It is obvious that in such a perfect system everyone will feel good. Of course, if it becomes clear to us that a kind look at another person immediately cures us of the coronavirus, everyone on earth would instantly become righteous.
But this is not what the higher power requires of us. A person needs to realize that he should strive for bestowal, not for selfish gain, think about others, not about himself. And when everyone feels good, then he will too stop being sick.
In the meantime, while the epidemic continues, we have something to learn from this…

What Does It Mean To Give Contentment To The Creator?

laitman_625.03Question: What does it mean to give contentment to the Creator? After all, the fulfillment of the Kli (vessel) is called pleasure, and the lack of fulfillment is called suffering. Does it turn out that the Creator is inside of me?
Answer: Yes, it is so. I am very glad that you came to the right conclusion.
Question: Based on this, in order to give contentment to the Creator, is it correct to direct myself internally to the quality of bestowal and love?
Answer: Of course. The whole world is inside of us. There is nothing outside.
Read what Kabbalah says about perception of reality. We perceive only what appears in our senses and representations. The whole universe is inside our consciousness. And the Creator is inside our consciousness. We are all in your mind.
This is exactly how you perceive everything. There is nothing strange about it and there are no contradictions.
Acquaint yourself with Kabbalistic literature about perception of reality. It is very interesting.

How Does The Reshimo Affect The Point In The Heart?

laitman_961.2Question: How does our Reshimo (a spiritual informational record) influence the awakening of the point in the heart and the speed of its development?
Answer: The fact is that the awakening of the point in the heart is felt in a person as aiming toward the question of the meaning of life. Either it is gradually awakened by suffering or a person finds the environment and, by joining a group, begins to advance faster.
A person develops a suitable soil around one’s spiritual embryo and then one advances faster, reveals the questions of his development, and finds answers to those questions.
This is actually the development of a constantly renewed Reshimo.
