The Method To Constantly Increase Love: Kabbalah

laitman_963.1If today it is harder for us to concentrate and we do not have the same sharpness of mind and sensations as yesterday, we must be happy about it. It means that additional will to receive was revealed to us, which we need to attach and see it not as a descent but as an advancement in the left line. In our connection, we must overcome this additional egoism and reach a new sensation that is even stronger, deeper, and sharper than the one we had yesterday.
Yesterday we had an incredible sharpness of feeling and understanding and today I am in some dumb state, half asleep. And here we need action, a common effort of all of us together in order to connect even more. The Creator has pushed us away from each other, expanded our Kli, added one more drop of egoism to us, and we must perform contraction. Thus, we will gradually learn to control our expansions and contractions through prayer. We ourselves will want to add a desire  to us in order to later work on it, and so again and again.
Therefore, now we should try to think about everyone and connect everyone in order to quickly bring back at least the same sharpness of feelings and mind that we had yesterday. And it is better to think not about yesterday but about the new state.1
What is the difference between the Reshimo de Hitlabshut and the Reshimo de AviutReshimo de Hitlabshut is when I can only imagine how the Creator is clothing in me and Reshimo de Aviut is when I already can feel Him and work with Him. Reshimo de Hitlabshut is above my desire and Reshimo de Aviut is within my desire.2
I want to not simply reveal the Creator, I want Him to clothe in our connection. That is, I want to feel the Creator as a correction of the relationships between us: unity, love, connection, mutual help, and warmth, in order to reveal Him in our substance, in our connections.
I want to feel the deficiency for something I absolutely do not need. I have no need to bestow to others, and this is my problem. However, I want to feel the urgent need for bestowal as if I suffer from hunger or thirst. And for me to be filled with the very desire to bestow like the first love that overflows the heart with romantic dreams and does not require anything else.
I want to be sick with love for the Creator, but the problem is that I do not feel any need for Him. The deficiency is the fulfillment, and I want to be filled with yearning, desire, and longing for my beloved.3
Before receiving pleasure, it is necessary to develop a desire for it. Deficiency is an integral part of fulfillment; without deficiency, it is impossible to feel it. Therefore, we must take care of the deficiency. In the corporeal world if I feel the need for love, I connect with the one I love and love fades away. After all, I received what I wanted. Then we even begin to quarrel.
This does not happen in the spiritual world because I do not connect with my beloved. Our connection is determined by the similarity of our qualities: how much He loves me and I love Him. Therefore, our desires do not fade but only expand. The method of constantly increasing one’s love is called the wisdom of Kabbalah. It is a science! The science of receiving, when we receive and want more all the time.4

How Sages Made Decisions

laitman_933Question: Do we need to achieve mutual unity, mutual connection between us, before we begin to solve any corporeal problem?
Answer: In ancient times there was an organization called the Sanhedrin where sages gathered together, united, and made all kinds of decisions, then these decisions were implemented by people.
Question: Did they discuss what taxes to collect, whether to begin a war or not, and so on?
Answer: Anything. Even minor problems.
The solution to a problem was found in the unity between them, that is, in the revelation of the Creator. This means that the solution was the right one. Then it was possible to transfer it to the people, who were not yet able to unite, for implementation. It took place just as decisions are usually made in some circles and implemented in other circles, at a different level.

Enrich Yourself Through The Desires Of Others

laitman_963.8Question: How should I grow my desire for spirituality? You are saying that it is possible to attach to myself the desires for spirituality of the others. Is there some kind of mechanism on how to do that?
Answer: Only in the form of self-annulment. You will not be able to acquire anything without annulling yourself. This is how you will suddenly begin to feel that this action allows you to absorb completely new qualities within yourself.
Question: How can one distinguish what desire it is?
Answer: Let’s say, you see a friend whose behavior you dislike. Annul yourself and begin to associate with his behavior, with his actions. Act as if you agree with and go along with him. Try to work on yourself in this way! Then you will begin to receive completely new, previously unknown sensations to you. This is what is called connecting with friends.
Look at the others—you dislike one thing about this one, another thing about that one. Try to annul yourself, to agree with the friend, to be together with him in his action, and you will see how this enriches you, how you are connecting with him. This is how the common Kli (vessel) in which the Creator appears is gradually revealed.

Where Do We Find Solutions To Problems?

laitman_608.01Question: Kabbalists say that we need to look for the solution to problems at the next degree, based on our unity. What does this mean?
Answer: The fact is that the uncorrected states that are revealed in us and around us do not have a solution at the same level they are at. Therefore, whatever we do in our world is unsuccessful.
In order to solve any problem, one must rise above it and correct it precisely in its root, from that initial point from which it arises. Otherwise, it will not work.

New Life #250 – My Internal World, Part 2

New Life #250 – My Internal World, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe
My individual happiness depends on balance with others, on Arvut (mutual guarantee). Nothing that goes through me is mine. I am not to blame for being as I am. My entire life is a flow of emotions and information from the environment to me, therefore, I primarily need to learn how to integrate into the general system. This is how we absorb the integral information existing in the universe and invite a positive influence from the system as bad moods disappear. In a circle, we learn how to construct an integral sense since each one wants to communicate with the others. Each one exits the limitations of one’s own small computer and into a large, powerful computer that is created in the center, having a common intelligence and emotion. Everyone works together like organs within a single body.

What Am I Striving For?

laitman_284A person goes through several stages in regard to his efforts to study the science of Kabbalah and their results. At first, I will inevitably relate to my studies according to the rules that I am accustomed to in the corporeal world; that is, I want to gain understanding from my studies and reward for my efforts. We cannot imagine another way because this is how we operate.
As time passes, I become disillusioned with the path, seeing that years have passed and there is no result in sight. I studied many sources: articles, “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah,” Talmud Eser Sefirot (The Study of the Ten Sefirot,) The Book of Zohar, I worked in a group, but I still fail to understand what the correct result should be. I do not evaluate my changes in relation to bestowal, in my attitude toward my friends, or in a closer connection with them, that is, the external indicators of the correction of our broken desires, which we need to connect. Instead, I look for personal gain, which the egoistic nature obliges me to do.
Even if I agree that we must connect, my primal concern is still my personal accomplishment: I want to reveal spirituality, to know and understand it, to see and feel it—it is all about me!
Here, it takes serious effort to reach a true calculation. From bitterness and disappointment, obscurity and misunderstanding of what is happening to me, I begin to make the correct calculation, guessing that the goal is not to attain, but to acquire the properties of bestowal, the desire to connect with others, and love.
When I change the purpose of my work, I begin to move toward a prayer, correctly forming my request to the Creator. If I am after acquiring knowledge, wisdom, and success, as is customary in our world, then everything depends on my efforts. The smarter I get, the more time I put into the work, the more I will succeed. But if I change my goal from material to spiritual, wanting to transform myself from a receiver to a bestower, then the result does not depend on what I do in this world, but rather on how the upper light affects me.
This is a totally different approach. Therefore, I curb my pride and do everything the group requires of me. Because I have no choice—this is the only way one can draw the light that reforms. Only with a prayer can I attract the upper light to myself and truly transform.1
If one comes to the lessons, is involved in dissemination, and in group work, and teaches, and still feels that each day he is losing strength, at risk of completely breaking away, he begins to criticize the path. But the fact is that he is not evaluating himself correctly. He feels as if he is falling every day, but maybe he is actually ascending? Everything depends on what is measured. He is indignant about not receiving the sensation, the attainment, the understanding. He is looking into his egoistic desires and does not see any fulfillment in them. Why does he feel that this is a loss and not a gain?
This is a great success because another day has passed and I have received nothing for my egoism, and another day, and another. And there will be many more days like this. To what end? What am I trying to achieve? I want to reach despair from my way being wrong, and I should not get that at all.
I must reach complete disillusionment in the calculations that I have made in my desire to enjoy. How is it possible for me to find anything spiritual there? The fact that with each day I see a bigger and bigger zero is help from above. This is how the Creator is showing me that my path is the wrong one. As if He is telling me: “You can keep trying all you want, but you will not achieve anything until you become completely disappointed.”
I have to think carefully: I work with desires to receive, but acquire no spirituality in them. And what is the spiritual reward I am trying to receive? A spiritual reward is love for another to the point of loving the Creator, bestowal, coming out of oneself. Is this what I am striving for? If not, what success can I be expecting?
I need to decide if I want such a reward. If so, I must ask the Creator to change my desire for me, to become a giver like Him, to love others, to connect with others. Only then do I realize that I have never felt further away from this goal.
I look at the friends around me and realize that they are infinitely far from me, as if in another universe. I used to feel them somewhat before, but now I cannot feel them at all, as if they are not people but ghosts. It turns out that I already see my desired and my actual state. I must raise the importance of spirituality. It doesn’t matter if I like this state or not, it is a very important one.
For this, I apply efforts to listen to my friends who are assuring me of the importance of spirituality, and I tell them the same thing. The truth is that I have no idea what it is and do not feel any importance of it. Who in this world finds it important to love his neighbor? Do we have any respect for such idealists? There aren’t any left in our time.
Long ago there were humanists who propagated love for animals, people, and nature. But today we see financial or political gain behind all such calls. We have to work on making spirituality an important goal for us. The more my friends tell me about it, the more I will absorb it and feel it as truly important. I cannot neglect what is important to others. If my environment values the quality of bestowal, I too will value the spiritual world that operates on the basis of bestowal.
It is another realm, the anti-world that runs on the law of bestowal, and I have to draw near it.
We can never use our egoistic desires, mind, feelings, and rationalism to measure spirituality. This is something that exists above us. If you read a clever book to a cat a thousand times, the cat will not get any wiser. But we are susceptible to the light that reforms, which gives a person new, additional desires. One begins to feel spirituality in these new desires.
So, let’s calm down and think of how to attract the light. This is the whole point, and for this we must connect with our friends. I may not want to, I may not love my friends, but there is no choice: If I make an effort to go above my rejection, I will attract the light that reforms and succeed.2

What Is Our Freedom Of Choice?

Laitman_041.01Question: If the point of freewill is in approaching the Creator, then how can I bring someone closer to the Creator because by doing this wouldn’t I deprive him of his choice?
Answer: No. Freewill is not in moving toward the Creator. To this, you are awakened from above.
Do you want to say that you, yourself choose this path? Why? Somebody somehow influenced you. From where? How? You yourself do not know and do not remember. This doesn’t matter. The fact is that today you feel that you want it. But it is not your choice.
Your choice is not in selecting the vector of direction of where to go but in displaying even greater strengthening of the goal at every stage of your path. When your arms weaken, your legs give way, when you fall and have to get up to go forward again, this is when your freewill is manifested.
The Creator organizes a descent for you; you must understand why He organized it for you, and thus implement it correctly and go forward.

What Gives Rise To Awe?

laitman_237Question: If I no longer have a fear of the Creator, does this mean that I am in adhesion with Him?
Answer: The question is whether you feel not fear, but awe.
You should have a state when you think, care, and worry about how you feel about the Creator. You want to prove yourself as loving and caring with respect to Him, and willing to please Him, meaning to be the right element of His creation.
Fear disappears and turns into awe, and this is a completely different feeling: higher and nobler.
After all, fear belongs to the animal level: I am afraid for myself. And when I no longer worry about myself, when I feel the Creator as eternal and perfect, and unable to do anything harmful to anyone from His perfection, the fear on the animal level disappears. It is extinguished by the comprehension of the Creator. I then only feel awe because fear turns into a feeling of His perfection. Fear and perfection give rise to awe.

New Life #249 – My Internal World, Part 1

New Life 249 – My Internal World, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe
Humanity doesn’t understand what life is for and wants to receive without giving. We lack motivation and meaning because we have not integrated with the general system of nature. Changes in mood are evidence that we perceive reality subjectively, through a desire for enjoyment. A mental mechanism operates alongside desires, opening and closing them, directing us as to what we will feel. Today, entire nations fall into despair. Human development should bring us to the essence and summit of life. Integral education teaches people how to find solutions through circle discussions. We form connections in the circle, praise one another, and discover another level of existence based on a sense of “we” instead of “I.” In an integral society, we feel elevated as if we were hovering in the air and receive pleasure and power to progress together.

Realize You Are Immersed In Egoism, The Opposite Of Bestowal

laitman_962.4How did it happen that Adam HaRishon made a mistake and sinned? It was arranged from above by giving him incorrect data. How can the product of the Creator’s work sin? It means that the Creator arranged it for him because there must be the shattering so that he understands who he is and what his correction depends on. We call this a mistake, a sin, according to spiritual definitions. However, Adam HaRishon could not make a mistake because it is a system. The system had to shatter to reveal the difference between the Creator and the created beings.
There were two shatterings: the first time in the world of Nekudim, in the worlds, in the external system, in the “shell,” and then in Adam HaRishon himself. Now they correspond to each other, both are shattered. Therefore, a person begins the correction through the world, and the world is corrected through a person. Thus, through reciprocal influence, they correct each other, helping one another.
Without the shattering, there is no Adam, no created being. Only after the shattering does the created being appear, capable of realizing how much it is immersed in egoism, which is opposite to bestowal. Without the shattering, there is no contradiction and there is no scrutiny. Wholeness is absolutely impossible without the previous shattering.1

Rabash Opens The Way For Us

laitman_962.4Baal Hasulam, Introduction to the Book, Panim Meirot uMasbirot: Therefore, come and see how grateful we should be to our teachers, who impart us their sacred Lights and dedicate their souls to do good to our souls. They stand in the middle between the path of harsh torments and the path of repentance. They save us from the netherworld, which is harder than death, and accustom us to reach the heavenly pleasures, the sublime gentleness and the pleasantness that is our share, ready and waiting for us from the very beginning, as we have said above. Each of them operates in his generation, according to the power of the Light of his Torah and sanctity.
Our sages have already said, “You have not a generation without such as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
On the memorial day of the great Kabbalist, our teacher Rabash, we do not indulge in memories and do not grieve about his passing as is customary in the corporeal world, which is far from the truth. We perceive this day as an opportunity to connect even more strongly, to cleave, to get closer to our root.
Rabash is the revelation of the Creator to us in a certain form and with a certain strength.
We want to thank the Creator for sending us such a messenger through whom He opened up the possibility for us to approach the upper force, to correct ourselves, and bring ourselves into resemblance with the Creator. Through Rabash, we attach ourselves to the Creator because he is an intermediary step between us and the Creator. Due to Rabash, we exist spiritually, and through Rabash, we receive everything necessary for our spiritual ascent.
Rabash is revealed to us as a system connecting us to the Creator through which we can realize ourselves and approach the truth. Therefore, we do not recall the external image of a person and his earthly habits, but consider him first and foremost as a special revelation of the Creator who manifested Himself in this form to us. The more we honor Rabash, the more we approach the Creator, cherishing the special revelation that the Creator made through him. Thus, the higher force called “Rabash” becomes important for us, connecting us with the Creator, and bringing us closer to Him.
To some extent, this revelation of the Creator manifested itself in an external form and then disappeared. Despite this external disappearance, this purification, we need to purify ourselves and reach a connection with Rabash, with this spiritual root as our higher level, through which we can connect with the Creator.
The Creator acts through special souls upon a certain number of lower souls. It is as if the brain sends an order to some important organ so that it sends out signals to various bodily cells under its control, guiding their behavior. Rabash, Baal HaSulam’s successor in our generation, has become a turning point for us, a source of a modern practical method of spiritual ascent.
Therefore, we need to understand the loftiness of this gift we were given: the opportunity to contact him, to absorb from him the method suitable for our time, and to realize it.
How grateful should we be to our teacher Rabash whose soul, his part of reality, was so great that it was able to form and pass the whole method of correction to us? Without Rabash, it would be extremely difficult or even impossible to reach the spiritual world.1
The upper force spreads in the system of Adam HaRishon, revealing itself from top to bottom by animating more and more parts of the soul. And when the light must spread to the lower layers of the system in order to revive the next organs of the body of Adam HaRishon in the chain, then there is a need for the special upper parts of the system to be included in this work.
The development takes place from top to bottom; therefore, when a certain lower stage develops, it causes changes to all the upper stages. Any correction is intended only for the awakening of the lowest souls, called “the last generation,” in order to also bring them into similarity with the Creator.
Rabash symbolizes a huge global force acting on our entire generation. All that remains for us is to implement Baal HaSulam’s method, which Rabash transmitted and explained to us. Therefore, we study Rabash’s articles in order to imagine the world as a general system and to correctly realize it, and Rabash leads us to it in the most practical form.2
Baal HaSulam is revealed to us not as a guide but as a scientist who attained the entirety of creation, from its beginning to its end and beyond. Rabash takes our hand, like an adult takes a child’s hand, and leads us along this path until the very end of correction. He opens the way for us and walks next to us.
The heavy, coarse souls that are revealed in our generation would be unable to merge with the Creator without the method revealed to us by Rabash. After all, he explains how to achieve the states that Baal HaSulam writes about.
Baal HaSulam writes about the upper levels and the upper states as a scientific researcher. Rabash speaks more not about the steps themselves, but about the inner work that a person must do to achieve them, that is, about the means: the environment, unification, and self-annulment.
In his books, Baal HaSulam describes the whole upper system, but these are not textbooks with which you can rise. He is like a composer who wrote a symphony. We first need to learn the musical notations and master the technique of playing scales before we can read this score and play it. To do this, we need another person, a teacher, and Rabash has become such a teacher for us, leading us all along the way.
Without his explanations, we could be confused by Baal HaSulam’s teachings, incorrectly interpreting them however much our imagination allows. Yet if we implement Rabash’s instructions, which let us achieve such an attainment, then we will start understanding Baal HaSulam’s writings.3

Twist Yourself Like A Rubik’s Cube

laitman_245.10Question: To arrange a Rubik’s Cube by color, it has to be twisted horizontally and vertically.
I can twist my head and body horizontally to see everyone and absorb them into myself. What should I twist vertically? What should I do to do a complete job?
Answer: You have to constantly twist yourself in all directions, i.e., constantly dodging, in order to connect with friends above all obstacles.
Imagine that the Creator constantly creates difficulties and problems for you, twists you around. You must dodge, twist and turn and act contrary to Him. This is a help against you. His main job is to create problems for us because we will not grow without them.

Accept People The Way They Are

552.02Question: What should I do if I feel a lack of the quality of truth in the relationships in the group? Everything is very artificial and insincere.
Answer: This is natural since we all are liars, thieves, rapists, and murderers of our good mutual relations. Therefore, in no case you should imagine that you are perfect. Accept people the way they are, the way the Creator created them. Look at the fact that they are trying very hard.
Everybody who came here wants to hear something about their soul, how to reveal and create it, and how to connect it with the other parts of the common soul. Therefore, I value them and cannot say anything bad in any of them, after all the Creator brought each of them here. If I do not value them, then I disagree with the Creator.

New Life #248 – Discovering Who I Am, Part 2

New Life #248 – Discovering Who I Am, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe
The human is a social being and is thus a product of the environment in which he grows. The first environment that provides a person with both desires and fulfillment is home. We carry it with us as a measuring bar all of our lives. Everyone benefits, in any group, when we balance giving and receiving according to each one’s strengths. No matter what your profession is or what you do, what matters is how much you give to society. Together, we can reach a state, like in a submarine crew, in which there is no curtain between each individual and the society. Through integral education and workshops (circle discussions), we can learn how to be included with others, create connection and integration, strike a balance between us, and enjoy the whole world together.

Can We Overcome Jewish Resistance To Uniting?

Dr. Michael Laitman

From My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 10/23
I met with Joshua Goldstein, Chairman of the US Division of Herut North America, to discuss the origins of anti-Semitism and the essence of being Jewish.
The wisdom of Kabbalah states that Jews have a specific role—to reestablish and reveal to all humanity the method of building positive connections between people above the constantly growing human ego, and by this reveal the upper force of love and bestowal.
Why should we believe it? Is there any practical proof that this is what Jews are obliged to do? What if they don’t want to do it?
The laws of nature don’t ask anyone to agree with them. They just exist and function. The states laid out in nature unfold, and according to natural development, today we face a deep and comprehensive crisis of human relations caused by the tremendous growth of the human ego. If it keeps going this way, we’ll destroy ourselves.
Therefore, the only way to deal with the current situation is to implement the method of connection revealed by Abraham to the group of people collected out of 70 nations living in ancient Babylon 3,800 years ago: the Jews. This means that the Jewish people have a specific place in the structure of nature giving them an explicit duty, and if they refuse or fail to perform their role, the whole world will react with extreme pressure and forceful demand for Jews to bring the system to balance.
Therefore, indeed, the role of the Jewish people is that they have to develop a sense of a single unity and drive the whole world toward connection.

Why Does It Seem Like Everyone In The World Is Protesting Right Now? (Quora)

To start with, most of the world is heading into winter now, and there is always more illness, depression, and problems with living conditions and supplies in winter than in summer. It’s felt in every family and small business.
Other than that, with the increasing entanglement of existential threats, whether it be cyberattacks, bio-weaponry, artificial intelligence, climate change, and nuclear warfare, to name a few, it’s a wonder that nothing has already triggered a chain reaction of mass devastation around the world.
Perhaps such a critical situation can show us how a higher intelligence is sustaining us throughout the positive and the negative, wishing to teach us how to relate to life?
We cannot say that we’re surviving and continuing to somehow make our way through life according to our own intelligence. If it were solely up to us, we would have finished ourselves off a long time ago.
Humanity has trouble understanding that most of its produce is surplus to its real needs. We live in a game where one player profits off of the other player, who buys and disposes of all kinds of unnecessary things.
Why do we agree to live like this?
It’s all in order to give ourselves a false sensation of enjoyment, and nothing will come of it. In other words, human nature constantly demands pleasure, but all pleasures we receive dissipate and we’re always left emptier and emptier.
In the meantime, we’re given time to understand where we are, who we are, how nature works, and how we can reach harmony and balance both among human society and with nature.
The current protests will likely fritter away at some point, and then they’re expected to reignite. However, all in all, we can expect a lot more protests heading into the future because life continues becoming increasingly difficult.
We are being cornered from all sides in order to ultimately consider that our lives require a fundamental transformation.
However, where is the solution? Protests and riots will erupt. Governments and leaders will get replaced one after another. It will all serve only to show us that nothing can solve the increasingly complex puzzle of our times.
Moreover, I’m very optimistic about this situation.
I’m optimistic because such an intensive mesh of complications serves to lead us to the awareness of our own egoistic nature as standing behind all the problems, that our nature is basically evil and negative.
In other words, we’re gradually being led to a correct diagnosis of what’s wrong with the human condition: that the egoistic human nature, which wants only to consume pleasure for its benefit alone, is the cause of all our problems.
Once we reach a widespread realization of this common cause to all our problems, we can then start fixing it.
When we reach such an awakening, we’ll realize that there is no person, no leader, no good or bad people, no right-wing or left-wing political orientations to blame. There is only our very egoistic nature, dwelling sneakily within each and every one of us.
How can we then correct human nature if it is the cause of all our problems?
We can’t. Or at least, we can’t correct human nature directly.
To correct human nature, we need to demand from the people who possess a method for the ego’s correction, that they will implement the method, and by doing so, change themselves and the world for the better.
Who are these people? Who holds the solution for the increasingly complex web of problems on personal, social, economic, ecological and global scales that we face?
It is none other than the Jews.
It appears as if the protests in Hong Kong, Lebanon, and Chile have no connection to Jews. However, it only appears this way in the present moment. In the near future, we will see the connections.
People still feel that they can fix something through protests. However, soon it will become evident that there are no solutions in protests, but only in correcting human nature, a process that the Jewish people have been given the ability to pioneer. Simply put, the Jews’ correction of human nature and their establishment of positive relations would ripple out to all nations, bringing about the required correction of the human ego. We thus need only demand such correction from the Jews.
I see us in an excellent situation. The world is nearing mass awareness of the true cause behind all of its problems—the egoistic human nature—together with its treatment—the method of correction, which the Jews need to set off—in order to undergo a major shift to a harmonious existence.

laitman_256In order to achieve restriction, we must understand that there is no point in living for the sake of our egoism but that our entire life should be for the benefit of others. But only with the help of the environment is it possible to come to such a breakthrough when everyone around me is lying to me, as adults lie to a child, that it is worth living for the sake of society. And I believe them like a baby.
When I begin to integrate with the friends, the reforming light comes to me through them. In ordinary life when children trust adults, they are also affected by the reforming light, only in a corporeal form. The same law works here.1
If at the end of each action I do not reach despair and a prayer to the Creator, this action remains incomplete. The properly-completed action is one where I am disappointed in my abilities, understanding that there is no success and there will be none, but I have to achieve what I want. I understand that everything is in the hands of the Creator and I turn to Him.
I have every reason to turn to Him and ask because I have done everything possible and made sure that I really need this goal, but I cannot achieve it by myself, only with the help of the Creator. This is the seal that approves the action.2
If a person wants to reach a prayer but something stops him and disallows the prayer to escape from the bottom of the heart, it means that his desire has not yet ripened. This is not a simple request. It must rather consist of many components. It would seem that it is enough to cry like a baby and the Creator will understand. Indeed, the Creator understands. However, if a person is required to pray effectively, to raise MAN, he must be well aware of his current state and the state he wants to reach.
This is not just a request like in our world, but the ascent of the future Partzuf, only in the form of an information code (Reshimo). It includes in itself everything a person can imagine. We are not yet ready for this, and therefore, our request does not deserve an answer. So far, it does not accurately reflect our future state.3

Everyone Judges According To His Corruption

laitman_528.01Question: There is a rule in the Kabbalistic group: everyone is perfect except me. Does this proceed from what was said in the Talmud that everyone judges to the extent of his corruption?
Should I prepare myself in advance so that if I see negative qualities in my friends, I must understand that they are in me? But this is pretty odd; it is against our nature!
Answer: It is against our nature until we attract the upper light, which attunes us.
In other words, I have to, with the help of the upper light, reach a state when I will feel that everything negative I see outside myself is merely a demonstration of my own corrupted qualities that I have to correct as they gradually reveal themselves in me. In fact, there are still millions of repulsive properties in me, but only those that I can correct now are shown to me.
Question: But how does it happen? After all, I see that I cannot do this!
Answer: That is good.
Of primal importance in Kabbalah are the contradictions revealed between a person and his egoism, that is, between the right and left line, between what is real and what is desired. When I see in the other what is unpleasant to me, I must understand that I judge this only to the extent of my corruption.
That is why I must think, ask, and pray for my correction.

Racing Against Growing Egoism

Laitman_115.05Question: Is the attainment of the future state in the present possible because the future already exists in spirituality and I just reveal it?
Answer: There is no present, past and future. It is all determined in our egoism. Therefore, we feel these parameters in us, in our qualities, and in our desires.
To the extent that our desires are corrected, we will begin to feel the corrected world and as if climb it. If not, we will feel the world falling more and more because our egoism is constantly growing.
It all depends on the extent to which we race against growing egoism.
