In Memory Of Eli Wiesel

Eli Wiesel, one of the pillars of the Jewish world, who served as the “mouth” for millions of Holocaust victims and dedicated his life to commemorate the Holocaust in an attempt to prevent a second one, passed away.
As a talented writer, awarded countless laurels and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, his personal history is closely interwoven with the fate of the Jewish people. In 1944, when he was 15 years old, he was sent with his family to Auschwitz, where he lost his mother and one of his sisters. Later after the death march, his father died in Buchenwald. But Wiesel was lucky to witness the liberation of the camp by the Allied Forces.
Since then he invested all his energy to let the world know about the atrocities the Jews had undergone in those terrible years.
We met in New York for the first time when I was on a lecture tour in America. Against the backdrop of a global surge of anti-Semitism, I crossed the country from coast to coast to give a series of lectures and interviews. Then I was fortunate to get to know an exceptional personality. He was truly a noble man, an outstanding representative of his people. We quickly found a common language since we are both from families that survived the Holocaust.
Eli showed great knowledge in Jewish literature. Among other things he was familiar with the authentic wisdom of Kabbalah in which I engage. He was very worried about the growing anti-Semitic trend, and I shared my concern with him regarding the impending waves of anti-Semitism about which I have been writing all these years. He listened attentively.
During that conversation, I told him about the main message of the wisdom of Kabbalah, about the special role of the Jewish people in fulfilling the principle of unity, and that after we fulfill it between ourselves, we have to pass on the method of unity to all of humanity. Eli showed great interest in this view and we had a very fruitful conversation.
It is very hard to accept his death. Eli Wiesel was one of the giants of the Jewish spirit who championed the Jewish people, and the moral foundations and universal values of humanity.
We, the Jews living in the land of Israel, are indebted to this man. In the hour of farewell, we have to greatly honor his mission, which has been completed, but which has not ended. His mission has been passed on to us, and just like Eli Wiesel we are responsible for the future generations.
Blessed be his memory.

The Wisdom Of Kabbalah Is Not Philosophy

Laitman_060_01Question: The famous Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti believed that school’s should teach children about love and a holistic approach to life.
Krishnamurti said, “Man has built in himself images as a fence of security—religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, beliefs. The burden of these images dominates man’s thinking, his relationships, and his daily life. These images are the causes of our problems for they divide man from man.” (Krishnamurti, “The Core of the Teachings”)How does thewisdom of Kabbalah relate to this?
Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah regards all the philosophies that speak about loveand friendship positively. At the same time, it asks how do we implement this because this is the problem. Every person in the world will say that friendship is excellent! Love of others? Wonderful! Mutual help? Vital! But how do we fulfill it if we have a completely different nature? A person looks at everyone like a wolf, thinking about how he can grab them by the throat.
This is our egoistic nature. Man is a creature who is operated by a subjective egoism that only thinks about how to sustain itself in the most comfortable way. Therefore, the main problem is in the implementation. Where does one find the power to overcome the ego?
If we understood that egoism is bad, we probably could agree. At the same time, we don’t see any alternative for the ego. We don’t know how and cannot overcome it. Sometimes, we try to do good deeds, but we feel even worse than when we do bad deeds.
We need an upper force in order to overcome the ego, an upper force that is above our nature, above the ego. If we could find it in nature or somewhere to get it, and find a way to draw it, then we would have something we could talk about. If not, all of the wonderful projects and all of the philosophies remain merely theoretical.
Question: Despite the Indian philosophies of love and friendship, in India there is an untouchable caste.
Answer: It is indeed strange that there are sectors that are untouchable in a nation that speaks about love. If every religion is based on love, compassion, and sympathy, where is that love and sympathy?
In fact, there is a huge range of separation between people: caste, society, family, and clan. These examples clearly illustrate how sweet, but empty, such ideas can be. There are philosophies according to which you should sit and self-reflect.
Where is a person’s creativity? Is it inside himself? Searching within yourself will lead to nothing but mistaken philosophies and psychological methods to change a person, but it is impossible to change that way.
A person who has a certain character will remain the way he is unless an external force called the Upper Light will correct him systematically according to what the wisdom of Kabbalah says. It is our only hope.

The Torah Was Not Given To Angels

laitman_545Question: What is the difference between the attitude of the Kabbalists toward the Torah and the attitude of the masses toward the Torah?
Answer: The masses believe that a holy person or an angel is engaged with the Torah, and that if a person actively performsMitzvot (Commandments), he fulfills the Torah. The sages of Kabbalah believe that the Torah was not given to angels, but to humans. Therefore it is written, “I have created the evil inclination, I have created for it the Torah as a spice, for the light in it reforms it” (Babylonian Talmud, Kiddushin 30b).
Only someone who has an evil inclination, egoism, needs the Torah. This is what Rabash wrote in the article, “The Claim of the Angels” (Articles, Volume 3). In other words, the difference is in the relationship of a person to the Torah: either it was given for performing mechanical actions or for the internal correction of the person’s essence, egoism, and from it, the creation of the soul.

Whence Was The Creator Created?

Laitman_049_01Question: Where did the Creator come from?
Answer: The question “where” indicates that we are in the final phases of our evolution in which time, motion, and space are still important for us.
But they exist only in our world, which is the lowest of all of the other worlds. In all the other worlds there is neither time nor motion, no beginning and no end.

The Beginning Of The Collapse Of The European Union

laitman_426Comment: You spoke a long time ago about the European Union not being sustainable and that sooner or later it would break up. In the commentary to the news you gave a few days ago, you said that England would leave the European Union, and that is indeed what happened. The English press asks, “How can it be that the pollsters and financial analysts were wrong?”
Answer: This is not the final result. If pressure were put on the English people, they would vote in the opposite way. I still think the result was correct because the European market, or more precisely bazaar, will fall apart anyway. The sooner that happens, the better because otherwise the situation could lead to war.
Question: Is the “ship sinking” unequivocally and is fleeing from it urgent?
Answer: Without a doubt it is not possible to plug the holes. In Europe there are many more problems than in the rest of the world. We see that the lion’s share of the news is about the European continent.
Comment: A petition to arrange for another referendum in regard to the membership of Britain in the European Union has already gathered two million signatures.
Answer: They could gather even more than two million because 60 million people live in England. The number of signatures could even reach 30 million.
Comment: You also said that Britain’s withdrawal from the EU would cause an echo in Europe, and this is truly so. The Parliamentary group leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom in the Dutch House of Representatives Geert Wilders said, “I am very envious of them and hope that we can do the same thing next year in the Netherlands.” Matteo Slavini writes, “Next in line will be the Netherlands, Sweden and France. And we are suggesting that Italy will not remain on the ‘sinking ship.’”
Marine Le Pen writes, “Europe has not died, but the European Union has been shaken. This is the rebirth of a nation and now it is up to them to create a new European project, a new type of cooperation.”
Answer: There certainly must be cooperation, but with the right preparation. And not under the command of Germany’s pressuring everyone. The right union can be created only after training and education toward unity for all Europeans, and above all the politicians, those who operate and run everything. They don’t know how to behave and only create business contacts.
Everything must be built on union between people. If there is no unity, it is preferable for Europeans to be as far as they can be from each other. We understand this from daily life. It is easy to imagine what would happen if five families were living in a single apartment. It is absolutely clear that everything would head toward a rupture.
Question: So what if the Europe that is left now were to reconsider and say, “We want to create a single nation here”?
Answer: Who can do this and who wants to? Who understands how to do this and where the forces and the means for this are? And of course, who would provide the education? It would take years to create such enormous changes for such a large mass of people. This is what Abraham did in ancient Babylon; he educated the small nations to rise above all of the separation and united them into a single people.
Comment: I think that the small current that followed Abraham would have to gather strength.
Answer: This current will awaken gradually and be revealed, but this would take even more time.
Question: Must we wait a few more decades for the disintegration of Europe?
Answer: We hope that everything will happen much faster. These actions accelerate development.

Dispelling Myths About Kabbalah, Part 12

PARDESS Begins With Secrets
Question: If the Torah can’t be taken literally because it talks about the spiritual world, how can we understand what is written there?
Answer: Baal HaSulam explains in the Introduction to The Study of Ten Sefirot that the entire Torah is divided into PARDESS : Pshat (simple explanation),Remez (hint), Drush (allegory), and Sod (secret).
And as the Vilna Gaon explains study of the Torah begins from the secret, and not from the simple explanation. It means that it is attained in this order: Sod (secret), Drush(allegory), Remez (hint), and only at the very end Pshat (simple explanation).
When we begin to read the Torah we understand nothing in it and think that this is some kind of fairy tale or historical novel and nothing more. And therefore it is a secret to us.
And only later, through the study of Kabbalah, do we penetrate deeper into the Torah text and begin to understand what it says about the internal world, the forces of our soul, and the forces that control us. And then the Torah is transformed first into an allegory, then into a hint, and in the end, it becomes simple and easy to understand for us.

New Life #506 – Learning To Communicate Again

New Life #506 – Learning To Communicate Again
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel
We have to learn how to establish new relationships so that we will be able to open the door to a new world. A wide, unlimited, eternal world is waiting for us behind this door…
Summary
Technology eliminates the limitations of place and distance. Today we can communicate through short text messages in an practical, convenient and less confusing way than physical encounters. On the other hand, we cannot eliminate the greatly needed physical contact.
Evolution leads us to the recognition of the fact that technology is not sufficient to reach hearts and connect, so I believe that we will soon begin to abandon the technological devices because we will feel that they do not answer our needs.
We will long to connect in another way, a new connection, a connection that will show us the meaning of life, that will explain what the meaning of our existence is, what we are living for, what the secret of life and the secrets of nature are.
We have to learn how to build this new relationship so that we will be able to open the door to a new world. A wide, unlimited, eternal world is waiting for us behind that door where we will be able to fly in infinite speed. The only question is how we can exit our ego which traps us in this world, in the limited development of nature, and enter a new world. This is some food for thought…

Husband And Wife: Spiritual Advancement

Laitman_630_1Question: If a husband and wife are reflections of each other’s characteristics, they are practically doubles apparently, possessing similar desires and a natural feeling of closeness to each other. How can they advance together in the best way?
Answer: That is also how they must progress. If that is how they are connected to each other, it is up to them to feel how they help each other and advance together. Conflicts are constantly created between them and greater and greater possibilities for attachment.

Dispelling Myths About Kabbalah, Part 11

Laitman_049_01Kabbalah Never Made Anyone Crazy
Question: Many people are afraid of Kabbalah because there are rumors that it can make a person crazy. Is this true? And if not, where did this opinion come from?
Answer: Baal HaSulam in Introduction to The Study of the Ten Sefirot and also the ARI and other great Kabbalists explained where such rumors came from. There is no danger at all in studying Kabbalah. In my life I have never seen that it made anyone crazy.
Although there are many people that start to study and stop and then get angry that Kabbalah allegedly didn’t meet their expectations. I receive indignant letters claiming that I didn’t want to open a door to the Creator for them. But I only teach on the basis of the original sources; everything else depends on the person.
This is the case with any study. When I graduated from the university I enrolled in graduate school and continued to study to get a PhD. And there were others who finished school somehow and didn’t want to study any further.
Everything depends on the person and on his desire. Anyone can study; the wisdom of Kabbalah doesn’t require any special abilities other than the desire.
Kabbalists themselves spread the rumors that Kabbalah can make a person crazy. After the destruction of the Temple people fell from their spiritual degree to unfounded hatred; therefore, Kabbalah went into hiding for 1,500 years until the time of ARI. And that is why the Kabbalists spread rumors that it is forbidden to approach Kabbalah.
And they succeeded so much that these myths are still alive even in our time, 500 years after the lifting of the ban. Chaim Vital, the disciple of the ARI, wrote in the sixteenth century that there is no prohibition on the study of Kabbalah.
Baal Shem Tov and other great Kabbalists, the founders of Hassidism, made every effort to disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah. And nevertheless there are still a lot of myths about Kabbalah and many people, especially among Orthodox religious people, protest against its dissemination. There is no prohibition against it anymore; on the contrary, there is a duty to study it.

The “Self” From A Kabbalistic Point Of View

laitman_622_01Question: Does my “self,” meaning my desire to receive, feel the desires of the physical body as if they were its own?
Answer: The “desire to receive” is what I want, while the physical body is my “beast.” Sometimes I feel my desires through the physical body, meaning a desire for food, sex, and family, and sometimes through a more internal body, a desire for knowledge, respect, and wealth.
The first type of desires (food, sex, and family), are a person’s “beastly” desires. Then follow the desires on the human level, desires for wealth, respect, and knowledge, but these are still not desires on a spiritual level. And then, spiritual desires are revealed in a person, attracting him to resemble the Creator.
Question: What is the “self” from a Kabbalistic point of view?
Answer: The “self” is a desire for pleasure and it is different on different levels. Sometimes I want food, sex, or family, and sometimes control, wealth, or knowledge.
Question: If the body is given only to meet the first three types of desire, is it possible to attain spirituality, discovery of the Creator, without it?
Answer: How can I begin to work with others without a body? After all, we must communicate with each other. Our entire world is built from the first and final state of our way; there is nothing accidental.
The final goal of creation appears first, which is to bring the person to the likeness of the Creator.
It is from this that creation was created. In order to realize the goal of creation, a person must simultaneously include the “minus” and the “plus.” So from the start, the “ego,” which is contrary to the altruistic characteristic of the Creator, becomes determined within him.

The “minus,” meaning the egoistic state in a person, constantly grows. But together with this, a person must create a “plus” from the “Point in the Heart.” Therefore it is said, “The end of the action is in the initial thought.”

The Sorrow Of The Kabbalist

laitman_293Question: A Kabbalist who understands that everything comes from the Creator relates all of life’s problems and troubles to Him. But does he feel fear or sorrow at the same time?
Answer: A billion times more than an average person. But he knows where it comes from and for what. It is exactly in order to treat it properly.
I see a picture of my teacher Rabash‘s wife’s death in front of my eyes. They lived together for 65 years and they loved each other very much, even in old age.
I remember when their grandson called me and said that his grandmother passed away and asked me to stay with his grandfather. I came immediately. Rabash was lying on his bed, curled into a ball, facing the wall, and not responding to anyone.
Although he knew in advance about the outcome, as his wife was paralyzed for the last few years, but I felt that he was going through a very strong shock, a blow that he must take upon himself. Not on the human level, but with completely different ideas and goals. I could feel his tension, calculations for further correction, and the fate.
Question: So the blows still exist?
Answer: I described the external picture. And what is inside this picture… God forbid that we will ever realize what such a person goes through in such a state.

The “Path Of Torah” And The “Way Of Suffering”

laitman_629_3Question: How is it possible to differentiate between the “Path of Torah” and the “Way of Suffering”?
Answer: It is possible to describe the “Way of Suffering” as every type of physical suffering that we move through slowly since they are from a lower level; whereas, the “Way of Torah” is a replacement of suffering from a lower level with suffering from a higher level. Suffering from a lower level is a yearning for corporeal fulfillment and suffering from a higher level is a yearning for unification.
So we move through them more quickly, and this is preferable in the eyes of theCreator. Yet those who walk the Path of Torah also have times of moving through the Way of Suffering, which are replaced with periods of purposeful advancement in the Path of Torah.

Correction After Exile

laitman_747_03Torah, “Deuteronomy,” 04:25 – 04:26: When you beget children and children’s children, and you will be long established in the land, and you become corrupt and make a graven image, the likeness of anything, and do evil in the eyes of the Lord your God, to provoke Him to anger, I call as witness against you this very day the heaven and the earth, that you will speedily and utterly perish from the land to which you cross the Jordan, to possess; you will not prolong your days upon it, but will be utterly destroyed.
And so it happened. Because the nation is the group of people aiming toward the Creator and then this desire disappeared.
Generations change, meaning that more egoistic layers are revealed in a person and so he can’t remain in a state of close cooperation with others as one man with one heart.
Mainly it is revealed at the entrance to the land of Israel, because it is especially egoistic from the point of view of correction when you constantly climb your egoistic desires.
They constitute huge hard layers, the third and fourth levels of egoism that are impossible to withstand. On the one hand, they tear you apart by tempting with such cunning pleasures that you don’t have the strength to refuse.
And as soon as you move away from them darkness, depression, and blackness descend on you. Rising above such desires is only possible by being in mutual guarantee (Arvut), in connection, and by fervently praying to the Creator to give you theLight of correction.
Therefore the Creator tells Moses that his children and even more so his grandchildren “will become corrupt and make a graven image, the likeness of anything.”
Worshipping idols means worshipping our egoistic desires. It is unavoidable! “All the same, you will come to it and will become idol worshippers!”—the Creator predicts.
The future of humanity is inevitable. It was known to all Kabbalists, starting with Adam, Abraham, and further, because the real Kabbalists see to the end of creation, i.e., to the end of 6,000 years. The only thing they cannot foresee is the way the current stage, before the end of correction, will be passed, whether it will be by a good or bad way, because during the last stage of correction our freedom of will is revealed.
Comment: Thus, the Creator predicts to the people that they will disappear completely from the nation to which they crossover.
Answer: The people of Israel must go into exile. No wonder the greatest Kabbalist of that time Rabbi Akiva rejoiced at the destruction of the Temple and the fall of the Jews from the spiritual degree, because he saw that the prophecy came true, and the exile would be followed by correction.

New Life #519 – Understanding God

New Life #519 – Understanding God
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe
Summary
If I were to discover that a single force is behind everything in my life, I would try to understand it. People who have revealed it can teach me what it wants from me and how I will be able to discover it. Kabbalah explains this developmental process, and today we can reveal the Creator!
The nature of the upper force is bestowal and love and its program is that we will also acquire its characteristics. Only when we try to be like the Creator will we be able to understand the events that He arranges for us in our lives.
If you want to understand a particular profession, you should emulate their actions. That is also how it is with the Creator. To understand God, one must do things like Him – being benevolent to everyone, acting according to “And you shall love your friend as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18). But it is necessary to really study how to realize this, and this is what the wisdom of Kabbalah is engaged in.
When a person builds the characteristics of God, bestowal and love, within oneself, it is said that one reveals Him. Then there is nothing that separates between him and God. God is within him, as close as possible; there is real adhesion. A person like this has become a man of God. All people who become close to Him are really like Him. This is the best state, this is an unlimited state. A person is filled with the upper force and merges with eternity.
All people must evolve toward this perfected state, and it is the role of the Jews to teach it.

Difficult Path To The Goal

Laitman_514_04Question: What does the prohibition to not worship or serve idols mean for the average person?
Answer: Not to worship idols means not to perceive our current existence as the true state.
The Torah doesn’t refer to ordinary people, but to the person who wants to attain theCreator and reveal the world.
Question: The Torah was written long ago, several thousand years ago, but it talks about things that humanity underwent and continues to go through. It is written, “And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, which the Lord your God assigned to all peoples under the entire heaven, and be drawn away to prostrate yourselves before them and worship them.” It is as if the Torah is appealing, “Stop praying to idols finally!”
Answer: The thing is that there are no forces in nature other than the one force that controls absolutely everything. There is no good and evil, no various opposite qualities and influences. All of it is just a manifestation of one force, one thought, one intention, and one goal.
If I step aside, even a millimeter, from the goal, assuming that I myself think, that i wish, then it is called a sin.
A person must create an environment for himself that will hold him in the direction toward the oneness of the Creator. If he observes this rule, he never will make mistakes in life and will move forward correctly. The Creator develops him by constantly sending him various doubts and showing him that, allegedly, there exist sources of influence other than Him.
A person, despite all apparent disturbances and images, must determine the Creator behind them all and remember that there is only one force, one intention, and one goal that drives him.
If a person studies Kabbalah and is in a correct group that always supports him in this approach to reality, then there is no problem. He gradually finds out exactly what is happening around him.
At the same time, he is washed by the broader society that keeps rinsing him, pouring buckets of dirt on him. How else is it possible to shake a person? He tunes himself to infinite love for the Creator as the source of everything that happens to him, annulling his egoism, the barrier that separates him from the Creator.
A man, in spite of all the visible noise and images, should identify them and the Creator remembered that it is driven by only one force, one purpose and one purpose.
At the same time it is flush with the broader society that kept its rinse, pouring dirt on him tubs. How else can you shake a person? He adjusts himself to the infinite love of the Creator as the source of what is happening to him, nullifying his egoism, the barrier that separates him from the Creator.
Question: Do you think that buckets of dirt help a person cut himself off from his “I?”
Answer: You see in it a great salvation because, otherwise, you would not be able to tear yourself away from the common masses and your egoism.
How else does one break away from egoism? It is only when everyone around you begins to blame and reprove you. This is exactly the way that the upper force influences a person. The Creator prepares the basis for His further revelation in advance. Without this, it is impossible to draw closer to Him.
On the contrary, I must wish to be washed. In the same way that we clean a fish before we cook it, both inside and out, this is the way I want to be treated.
If a person understands the ultimate goal lies in this, then he agrees to everything and thanks the Creator for the test because, for him, this is not an evil, but a redemption.
Question: But can you imagine what would happen if the entire world with its understanding of the truth suddenly began to reveal something!
Answer: Therefore, we must raise our technique, and along with what is revealed, explain to people what it means to move toward the goal.
The Creator does nothing in vain. I and thousands of our students all around the world must accept all of these conditions that we are given from above. Let’s say that we will be humiliated, insulted, and slandered.
So what? I am not interested in this. I am interested in only one thing: whether we are connected with each other, whether we are going further with the conditions that the Creator gave us, and whether we perceive evil as an absolute good.
A person must bless for the evil as well as for the good because evil is just a manifestation of the egoism that he needs to correct. During the rise to the next degree egoism will be revealed more and more, and there’s nothing you can do about it, but you must rise to the next degree through using this egoism! The difference between the degrees is the next threshold of the level of egoism that we need to overcome.
Can you imagine how much strength we need to receive from the Creator in order to be connected between ourselves and climb to the goal despite everything?
Imagine what a joy it is when you are given such “fires of the Inquisition,” and at the same time the opportunity to rise above them!
A person is not given obstacles greater than what he can overcome. We finally have reached these obstacles, and we will have them now! We learn that spiritual ascent is only above the manifestations of egoism. First, we are given a period of time when we study, unite, and learn the wisdom of Kabbalah. But once we are ready, we immediately are given a serious problem.
Question: So, if a serious problem arises, does it mean that we are beginning to explore the next degree?
Answer: Of course, undoubtedly, and we don’t have a right to fall. We must master it because all of humanity is behind us, and we are responsible for them. There can be no retreat. This is the game the Creator is playing with us!
Moreover, in our time, this is the fate of the entire universe, of all of the worlds, of all of the souls who brought us the wisdom of Kabbalah, and now we are responsible for raising the souls of all of humanity above all of the great Kabbalists.

Dispelling Myths About Kabbalah, Part 10

laitman_214Mysticism Or Science?
Question: It doesn’t matter how much you try to convince me that Kabbalah is a science, it still seems like mysticism to me. I don’t understand what makes it a science?
Answer: We explore our world through the five physical senses given to us from birth. This is the basis of science and all our knowledge about this world.
But there is another reality that we are beginning to reveal only recently with the help of modern physics. We discover that some kind of reality exists beyond our abilities to comprehend that is apparently an upper world or an upper dimension.
It implies an existence above time, motion, and space above all earthly limitations and beyond our universe. We can’t sense this reality because we are not set up for it; we don’t have suitable sensory organs.
The wisdom of Kabbalah is called so because it teaches how to receive (“Kabbalah” means “reception”). First of all, it builds new organs of perception in us. They differ from the common sensory organs because they sense matter outside themselves and not inside.
The five ways to perceive our world in physical sensory organs are called vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. And perception of the upper world that is higher than the usual physical one happens in five qualities called KeterHochmaBinaZeir Anpin, and Malchut.
Once we form these new qualities within ourselves through studying the wisdom of Kabbalah, we begin to feel a new world that we call an upper world. We begin to live in it to the extent that we feel it. So much so that even if our body dies in this world and we stop seeing and feeling our world through it, we are left to live in the upper world that we learned to feel during the life in our body.
And if we didn’t manage to reach the upper world, then we are born again in this world in an animal body and we receive an opportunity to reveal the upper world during our life in order to stay in it for the eternal life.

How Can We Neutralize A Negative Attitude?

laitman_564Question: Why does the Creator send us connections with a negative environment?
Answer: Unfortunately, we are indeed in a very negative environment in this world.
We must study the wisdom of Kabbalah, try to study it, even virtually, and then we will see to what degree we can neutralize all of the negative attitudes toward us because we will begin to influence the upper force directly.
Question: How can we be protected from people’s curses, from the influence of a foreign ego, from the evil eye?
Answer: It is only through the good deeds we perform. Nothing else can help. Let’s neutralize the harmful effects through positive actions.

Ordinary Egoism

laitman_275Question: How can you increase egoism if it is on level zero?
Answer: Today, there cannot be egoism on the zero level. A person has a normal ordinary ego. When we begin to correct it we will see that there are such great deep layers in it that we will not know how to escape it.

How Can You Affect Your Fate?

Laitman_198Question: Is there such a thing as fate? If so, how can I affect it?
Answer: Everyone has their own fate. We can affect our fate and change it if we begin to actively induce the revelation of the Upper Light through the connection with the friends in the group.
Once you recover the  correct mutual connection between yourself and your friends that resembles, at least to some degree, the principle of “love thy neighbor as thyself, the upper force immediately begins to operate and to affect us according to our efforts and thus we begin to change our fate.

Planet Earth, A Single Living Body

Laitman_712_03In the News (lenta.ru): “In science, to enlighten humanity, there are only three questions: How did the universe come to existence, how did life begin, and how to animals learn to think? …
“Many processes can be explained with the help of such a thing as ‘self-organizing active media.’ …
“In other words, the mechanisms of self-organization in the physical and chemical, biological, ecological and social systems can be treated with common positions. Having an idea of the self-organization of active media, you can create models that describe such seemingly disparate processes as working laser coagulation, chemical reactions, the heartbeat, or the appearance of annual rings of a tree. …
“The active medium of self-organization follows the same principles, regardless of size. …
“Self-organization – is the basis of all life on earth. It is important to bear in mind that this is determined by the self-organization of primarily physical laws – even in biology, but people are used to interpret biology through chemical compounds. …
“You can often hear the expression ‘the organism is in balance with the environment.’ Physicist interpret this phrase clearly: ‘the organism is dead.’ We are essentially in non-equilibrium and far from thermodynamic equilibrium, and even if we talk about our relationship with the environment, then we are in thermodynamic, energetic and material balance. It can be a stationary or non-stationary relationship, but not equilibrium. Equilibrium can only be in the grave.
“The very essence of life – is a difference of chemical interaction and electrical potentials, concentrations and so forth. Only in the case of inequality and imbalance can there be a chemical process. From the viewpoint of biophysics, the energy of life – is a parabola. At the lowest point, life dies, in a sense; it’s not there. Self-organizing processes begin in an active environment when balance ends and the system is removed from it.
“If we take the two systems with the same electrical potential – no matter how big it is – then there is no movement of charges can not be. Asymmetry is needed. This – the main condition for the beginning of the process. Chemical processes are driven by physics. This built the modern systems of biology and biophysics. And now, one of the most promising areas – the science, which, on the one hand, includes biophysics, and on the other – Synergetics.
“Synergetics, or the theory of complex systems, is an interdisciplinary field of science that studies the general laws of phenomena and processes in complex nonequilibrium systems (physical, chemical, biological, environmental, social and others) based on the inherent principles of self-organization. Synergetics is an interdisciplinary approach, as the principles that govern the processes of self-organization, are represented by the same, regardless of the nature of the systems, and their descriptions must be suitable general mathematical formalism.
“The famous French physicist, Nobel laureate Pierre Curie said that nature is driven by symmetry breaking, movement itself is essentially a distortion of symmetry, because symmetry – is a static state.
“Keep in mind that nature is often not subject to the fact that physics is traditionally called ‘the law.’ For example, Hooke’s law – the claim that the deformation that occurs in an elastic body is directly proportional to the force applied to it, this law does not apply to large deformations… . So, not every law of physics is a law of nature. It is necessary to understand the proportional linear dependencies. Here it becomes clear that far from equilibrium can undergo smooth sections and can enter the so-called bifurcation point – that is, split.”
“Very often, (especially politicians) say that development should follow the path of evolution, not revolution. But evolution, including biological, after a smooth development is the bifurcation, and predicting what will be, after passing the point of bifurcation, is very difficult.”
My Comment: Kabbalah speaks about a single source, a single nature and development of everything that exists on the basis of four phases of HaVaYaH. Development happens under the influence of the Ohr Yashar (Direct Light). The basis and foundation of creation is desire. Its developmental law is the attainment of resemblance and equivalence to its origin, the Creator.
