Correct The Error To Reduce The Suffering

We exist in a field of thought. When this field operates in one direction while I operate in another direction, the difference between the pathways, my error and its degree, are perceived as the degree of my suffering.

The bigger the error, the bigger the suffering. Everything depends on how opposite the direction of my desires are to the program of creation.
How do I test myself in relation to the program of creation? I have the group for this. When I cancel myself in relation to the group, in other words, when I bring my desire closer to the program of creation, I begin to move according to this program and then I feel good, suffering cannot affect me because the source of all the suffering is our lack of correspondence to the program of creation.

At The Balance Point Between Two Forces

Initially there is only one force in nature that created, manages, and determines everything. It is neither positive nor negative. It is simply an attribute.
We can feel this force only by its opposite aspects because we don’t feel anything in the form of one phenomenon, one value. The term “value” means that it includes two parameters: the base and the dimension, one (what it is and what it wants).
Our feelings are always made of two opposite attributes that are based on different contrasts: black and white, silence and noise, etc. This means that as created beings we feel ourselves only if there are two opposite forces in us.
The Creator is one unique force that wants to create us and to bring us to the upper state, but in order to exist and to be able to reach every state we have to be made of three forces:
  • The negative force which differentiates us from the Creator; the ego without which there cannot be a created being.
  • The positive force that can balance our ego.
  • The middle force that is created and revealed between them as a result of the right balance between the two forces, i.e., the best use of the ego in its correct form, in the form of bestowal and love. This is the result because the third line, the middle line, is man.
In order to balance the ego that we receive from the Creator, we have to assess it as evil and understand that it was given to us from above and to balance it in order to make something that resembles the Creator from it. Thus, all our work comes down to a request, to a demand, in an action that draws the positive force that can balance the negative force.
We have to assess the ego as a negative force that is inside us, and the attribute of love and bestowal, altruism, as the positive force that is external to us. It is the Creator’s attribute and therefore sustains all of creation. We should want to balance these two forces inside us by using the ego in its balanced state with the right line as much as we can.
All this can be fulfilled only under the influence of the right example that the environment sets for us because a person will never feel the desire to work against his own nature, against his ego. He will always avoid it and will find any means so as not to annul his ego.
Balancing the ego by bestowal means using it in a zero state only to exist in a minimal form or restricting the use of the ego and then allowing it to be used correctly by balancing it with the right line. But all this is only to the extent that a person can work with the environment.
This whole world (the still, vegetative, animate nature, and man), a condition we feel we are in, is given to us so that we can use the environment correctly and want to acquire the positive force that balances the negative force.
Therefore, the whole world is the revelation of the ego on the white background of theLight, and the ego should gradually bring us to a state in which we will begin to feel that this state is unbearable. Or it will develop under the influence of the growing ego and bring about sufferings that will force us to look for a way to cope with the ego.
We should develop the correct positive force inside us and by it feel even the smallest ego inside us as bad. That will be enough for us to want to balance, neutralize, and use it correctly.
But in any case, the natural course of our evolution, which is constant and which cannot be changed or affected in any way, means that the ego is constantly growing in us and in the still, vegetative, and animate nature but to a lesser degree. The only thing we can do is to feel that the ego is bad as soon as possible and thus draw the Light that balances and corrects it.

Expecting An Enormous Influence

Question: In order to correct and balance the ego, a person must feel it as evil. How must we make indifference and insensitivity toward others intolerable?
Answer: Indifference is the greatest problem. When I hate, this is good; when I love, this is very good. However, we go through 99% of our lives with feelings of indifference. People consider this normal in our current life.
What can help get me out of indifference, to awaken and hold me in this state every moment of life? It is only the environment.
You have moved through very good states of very great elevation of sensitivity, more internal, not an external request for change. This is enviable.
If all of our groups were like this, then certainly the general situation would become much better. It will be possible to attain this in the next convention by trying to prepare and transmit to everyone the feelings and sensations that you have experienced, are experiencing, and will again try to experience within you. It is possible.
If you connected the state that you experienced with the 300 friends who were in Sochi, and you multiply it by five, with the same mass that will be in the convention in Saint Petersburg, and after that, 500 times, then even much more, with the mass that will disperse throughout the world, we can achieve a lot.
This is one of the most useful examples because you will multiply the sensations, the demands, the aspirations to each other,  the neutralization of the ego, and the desire to be a single whole by that quantity of people with the help of envy, through showing them how this is working within you, and not in them. So, the multiplication of your yearning will happen together with their yearning, and this will produce an immense influence and impression.

Increasing Our Sensitivity

Question: You say that our next work is to perform exercises in increasing our sensitivity.
Answer: This is what all our work comes down to. The only thing that changes in us is our sensitivity and therefore we perceive the world around us changing. But in fact, it remains the same. This means that the direct Upper Light totally fills everything.
My Reshimot (reminiscences) are constantly changing and spinning, substituting a new Reshimo under the constant Upper Light that fills everything, and therefore a different pictures appear in me, like single frames in a movie.
Question: What should we do in order to start feeling the pain and suffering of ourfriends?
Answer: We will begin to feel our friends only as a result of our efforts and through this, the Upper Light will influence us.
The Light operates in two ways: On the one hand, it can influence the unprepared vesselso that our Reshimot will constantly grow, and so we see that the world is developing and developing badly, because the Reshimot are revealed as more and more shattered each time. This is because the Reshimot come in an increasingly stronger flow appearing on the background of the constant white Light. But if we want to discover these Reshimot by ourselves, since their correct fulfillment enables us to move towards the Creator and to resemble and become like the Light, we will feel our evolution as good.
There are two options to perceive the Light: a negative one, like darkness, and a positive one, like the Light. Therefore, I give an example that there is Light (Ohr) and there is Orta(night in Aramaic). It is the same thing and these two words have the same Hebrew root.

Beginning The Correction Of The World

Question: Why do you insist on the dissemination of Kabbalahamong Jews and involve your non-Jewish students in this work?
Answer (I answer on behalf of a non-Jew): Because through the dissemination of Kabbalah among the Jews (explaining to them their mission and the cause of anti-Semitism), we, the nations of the world, oblige the Jews to begin the correction of the world. Only the Jews can begin the correction of the world, meaning its unification, because only they are its broken parts (since the destruction of the Temple 2,000 years ago). But as soon as they begin the correction (unification) under our influence, we all join them and act together.

Seeing The World As Paradise

Question: We have created a weapon so powerful that all of us have the opportunity not only to nullify and dissolve, but also to develop, to grow for the good of the society.
We have learned to feel ourselves as a single whole. What do we need to add to feel the Creator more clearly? Where must we make an effort besides in the lesson, besides praying for the success of our friends?
Answer: Everything that I feel around me is my soul, it is all me, but, in my perception, all of the people are detached from me by my ego. If I neutralize it, I will stop feeling them as contrary and opposite to me. I will begin to wish for them what I formerly wished for myself, meaning the best. Then, I will be using myself, my ego, in the right way, to correct it.
It is not about having the right attitude toward others, not about love of others; rather, it is to correct my ego within me.
How can I correct it? It is only according to the examples that I see: This one, I don’t love for this reason and that one for other reasons. That one is distorted, this one is repulsive, evil, and so forth. My ego portrays an emotional picture for me of my relationship toward everyone. I criticize everyone, just like everyone else does, for they have something to criticize others about, as it is written, “With his own blemish he stigmatizes [others] as unfit” (Talmud Kiddushin 70a).
I criticize the world that is portrayed to me as terrible, and I see it as getting even worse because the ego is growing. We perceive the world this way, according to how the ego portrays it to us: people fighting, someone kills someone, everything possible. That is how the ego draws a picture of the world for us, not within us, but outside of us so that everything will be perceived more vividly, clearly, and juicily.
In order to correct the ego, a very good indicator has been given to me. I must bring myself to such a state where I see the world as the Garden of Eden (paradise): People love each other, they are only doing good for one another, and they merge into a single whole of mutual love.
In addition, it is the same thing in the still, vegetative, and animate nature. It depends on the internal correction of the person. The world itself doesn’t change; it is permanent. The person is the one who changes and sees the world differently. This is the entire correction.
When you are together, do you perceive a situation like this where you don’t see anything negative in the friends?
At first, one seems lazy to you, another seems dirty and disorganized, and a third is noisy. One annoys everyone with his pomposity and another through his shouting. No one knows his place. That is how you evaluate everyone at first.
Can you now say that these people are closer to you, that you don’t see any distorted faces, any harmful gazes? This is because when you live with someone, you no longer pay attention to his defects and perceive him as some kind of general image. For example, a little child doesn’t see his mother, but knows that there is someone big next to him: This is his mother.
Can you say the same thing about your relationship with the friends? Has some kind of change taken place in them, at least partially? Do you feel, even egoistically, that you can’t imagine your life without them? Do you feel that fragments of you are scattered throughout Russia, as if your body has been torn to pieces and scattered to different locales?
A person’s sensation must be precisely like this, really to such a degree that you will begin to feel each other, experiencing parallel states, and, after that, a single common state of ascent or descent. You even will begin to feel each other’s physiological states: how this one has a stomachache and that one a headache.
There was a time in ancient days when these were the requirements of a doctor. This is because medicine was not based on all kinds of devices, but on the doctor’s feeling the state of the patient because he was a divine doctor. Correction was a profession where one corrected another. So, by feeling him, he had to work together with the Light to convey it to the patient, to help him. This was a completely different medicine.
In this way, it is necessary to scrutinize what we are missing all the time so that the situation of the separate bodies will disappear and everyone will become “like one person with one heart.” They will move in sync. They will understand and feel each other where everyone must optimally be at every moment. This is not Brownian movement; it is not chaotic. Rather, it is internally coordinated because a single Light acts upon and influences everyone.
If we direct ourselves like this, we will raise our sensitivity. Then, we will begin to feel how one force is working within us and is gathering us together to the degree of our sensitivity toward it, to the required degree, by our inner yearning and constant attraction.
This is all of our common work that only can be done collectively. One person can jump, walk, make an effort, but, for him nothing will come of it. Essentially, he is doing everything right, but the proof that he is doing this for the sake of the Creator, is when he carries out these activities together with others, wanting to connect with them.
Why? It is because the ego was created specifically to separate us, and, through nullifying it, a person directs himself toward the Creator, toward resemblance and equivalence with Him. The ego is a helper that we cannot do without.

Feeling The Common Heart

Question: We felt a special state when we delved deep into theworkshop and lost track of time; time passed and we didn’t even notice it. Does that mean that we drew the Light?
Answer: I don’t want to disappoint you, but this wasn’t the Light. Of course, if you were busy with something else that interested you, you would feel the exact same state. You shouldn’t care whether everything around you disappears or not, it is meaningless.
Do you see yourself inside the friends? Do you feel their movements as your own: their desires, intentions, direction, and changes? Do you feel the same inner sensations that the friend feels because there is one common heart beating inside you? We should try to examine this.
Question: The Creator waits for us to turn to Him. And turning to a friend, bestowing to him, should I expect something in return?
Answer: When you turn to a friend, you turn to the Creator. What do you expect in return? What do you want from Him? Do you want a certain inner connection and adhesion in order to attain the upper root and to discover how you delight Him by that? Everything is already included in such an action, but it should be dressed on specific figures, and in specific clothing.

An Opеning In The Wall

To enter the spiritual world, a person needs to be equipped with desire, and spiritual desire is desire for oneness. Our unity is that very place where the spiritual world is located.
There is you and me. If a person feels only himself, he experiences the corporeal world and lives in its environment. But we want to cover the gap and begin establishing connection between us. I strive for your desires (1) to receive them (2) and feel them as my own. For this reason, I turn to the Light as to something external although it, too, resides between us. The Light gives me strength to unite with you, and in this unification, I suddenly discover something new.
When we become close and work together in Arvut (mutual responsibility, mutual guarantee), a deeper dimension becomes revealed to me as if in our oneness an aperture into the upper world opens .
An-Opеning-In-The-Wall
Baal HaSulam desribes this as follows: if we feel that between us there is a wall that doesn’t’ allow us to plug into each other, if we wish to break through this wall and are asking for it, then the Light descends and makes an opening in it. Unlike a door, it opens suddenly and only then you see that it had been initially “intended” there.
As a result, you enter another’s desire and it becomes as your own. This entrance is the very exit to the higher rung: the Kli that you have attached to yourself turns out to be your newly gained world. In this way, you attach more and more new Kelim, or the souls, and by doing so, you expand your world. You keep ascending on the 125 rungs of the spiritual ladder, which means you unite with all the desires despite your egoism and hatred.
Therefore, it turns out that you acquire the Light in the desire of another when you wish to perform bestowal to him. You fulfill another’s desire, and for you, it turns out to be the Upper Light.

“Outside” Means Even Deeper On The Inside

Question: Kabbalists says that on one hand everything is inside us, while on the other hand, we need to come out and connect. Does this mean that there are two Creators: and inner and an outer one?
Answer: First of all, I recommend watching our program on theperception of reality where we speak specifically about this.
There is nothing on the outside; everything is inside of man. At first I feel a lack on the inside; I lack the form of bestowal. This is a desire directed toward the Creator. And then I receive the form of bestowal, I become a giver, this means that the Creator has robed Himself in me; He has fulfilled me.
Nothing exists on the outside. In the “Preface to The Book of Zohar,” Baal HaSulam explains that the world we perceive to be external is no more than a big illusion. After all, the creature is the desire to receive pleasure, which only feels what happens within it.
Some parts of it become worlds, others, creatures. In the end it divides into many pieces, and I only associate myself with one of them while the rest of them appear to be external.
Why is this so? This is because I went through a breaking. I was once complete, but then I became divided. And now, looking from my small point, I see everyone else as strangers.
This is where I need to form the desire for unity. Once I unite with others according to the principle of love thy neighbor as thyself, I will return this entire big Kli inside of me, this entire reality, which I now see on the outside. Two drops merge into one in the same way, without even leaving a trace of their separation.
So, the breaking was intentionally prepared for us so that we would be able to understand the form of nonexistence, which precedes existence, unity. It is not unity that matters, but the fact that I acquire the form of bestowal, the Creator, in it.
On-the-Outside-means-Even-Deeper-on-the-Inside
I build the Creator in me. This is why in Hebrew He is called “Bore, (Bo-Re, which means come and see), in other words, do and you will feel, understand, and attain. This is because you are doing it yourself.
Nothing exterior exists. As I correct every detail of the breaking, I attain the Creator’s nature in me.

The Wisdom Of Kabbalah And The Rest Of The Sciences

Question: In what way is the wisdom of Kabbalah different from the rest of the sciences?
Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah is involved with discovery of theCreator, the discovery of the force of bestowal in those Kelim(vessels) that are in equivalence of form with Him, in other words,Kelim of bestowal. This never can happen in other sciences because they are involved with phenomena that are discovered in receptive Kelim.
In Kelim of bestowal, I discover the higher power. These Kelim are detached from me because I must go out of myself and rise above my desire to receive. This makes it possible for me to comprehend this power objectively, investigate and study it.
In the other sciences, we only discover phenomena that happen within us. This is even though it seems to us that they are happening outside of us in the surrounding world. However, through the wisdom of Kabbalah, we develop new senses, Kelim, in which we discover the higher power that is outside of us.
So, the wisdom of Kabbalah is an objective wisdom about the Creator, about the higher power, about the only power that manages everything, including us, and this is the difference between the wisdom of Kabbalah and other sciences.
The same scientific approach is practiced in the wisdom of Kabbalah as in all the rest of the sciences. As it is written, A judge has only what his eyes see” (Talmud, Baba Batra 131a), in other words, a factual basis, but they are received in other Kelim, in Kelim of bestowal.
Like every science, the wisdom of Kabbalah develops and discovers more and more. Only after the completion of correction and the discovery of the Light of the Mashiach(Messiah) will the wisdom of Kabbalah become an absolutely complete science.

The Teacher Is Waiting For You At The Entrance

The student receives all of the Light (the Light that Reforms and the Light of the filling) through the teacher. The order of the levels never changes and so the student’s role is to yearn to adhere to the teacher.
We have such an example in The Book of Zohar about Rabbi Chiya who fasted for forty days in order to see Rabbi Shimon, his teacher, who had left them. When he didn’t manage to see him, he fasted for another forty days.
This of course, doesn’t refer to a physical fast, but to spiritual actions. Rabbi Chiya ascended to the level of the upper Bina of Bina and he corrected himself to such an extent in the Light of Hassadim that he was awarded the level of connection with his teacher on a very high level. This means that he saw Rabbi Shimon sitting in the upper assembly, and it is thanks to Rabbi Chiya that he revealed the upper wisdom, the Light ofHochma, and the concealed mind, Mocha Stima’a. 
Question: How can we attain such a revelation?
Answer: We should try to yearn for what the teacher says. Of course neither you nor I are on levels like Rabbi Shimon and Rabbi Chiya, but we will undoubtedly reach these levels in the future. In that case this should serve as an example for us, not in the physical psychological connection, but in the real inner connection. Everything that we learn and receive through the external mind and the inner filling comes from the teacher.
Otherwise the teacher cannot do anything for us. He is in the position of a parent who can give his child only what the child asks for. If the child is full of energy and has the intelligence and desire, you can enroll him in different clubs, engage private tutors, and bring him books and educational games that can help him develop and advance to greater and higher levels. But if the child is autistic and behind in his mental development, the only thing a parent can do is worry about his physical existence, his physical needs, hoping that one day his mind will awaken.
Everything depends on the deficiency of the student and this is a one way connection in that only the deficiency of the student opens up the teacher and obliges the teacher to open up and not to close himself. This is called the sorrow of raising children, when the teacher is forced to close himself according to the distance that the students keep from him.
This happens with every student and I have been through this in a very dramatic manner myself. We have to study this state too, in order to understand that we are responsible for everything. The revelation of the teacher and then the revelation of the Creator occur according to the student’s vessels, and according to how he has prepared himself in the work with the friends.
It is only through the connection with the friends that one can yearn for the teacher and through him, for the Creator. We have to find the common passion in this connection and then we find the right direction. Otherwise we don’t and the concealment doesn’t help us.
The teacher teaches you where and how to open an opening through which you can enter the Creator. Imagine that you suddenly discover some concealment in the air somewhere, right here, and by the hints that the teacher gives you (he will never tell you directly and clearly, don’t expect that) you understand how to open a hole in the air and enter.

The Anthem Of Love

Question: What is the spiritual meaning of the connection between a man and a woman if it doesn’t take place at night?
Answer: The actions of unity and connection should take place at night after midnight, another part in the second half of the Sabbath, etc. These are different times that are suitable for the spiritual contact that requires the combination of several preconditions.
First there have to be two who are under a certain impression of the Upper Light, since none of them has the Light that can correct and connect them. They don’t yearn for that by themselves but ask the Light for that, the Light that connects the first nine Sefirot (the male part) with Malchut (the female part) in such a way as to create a common attribute and an action of bestowal. First the Light of correction descends to them and creates the right combination between them, and then the Light that they receive in order to bestow.
This is their spiritual action, the anthem of love! If we look at the different activities that take place inside our body, we will be able to see the exact replica of the spiritual actions. The only thing is that in our body it is all fulfilled automatically without freewill without a search or any impressions.
Three types of connection (on Sabbath, on holidays or on weekdays) are fulfilled according to the spiritual state of the general system and the levels of a person’s soul. In our world, which is parallel to spirituality, we can also observe the dependency on the type of actions and on a person’s state.
Question: Are these three types of connection called a prayer?
Answer: A prayer precedes the correction of each of these components. There is the prayer of the lower female part to the male part and through it to the Creator. There is the prayer of the male part which includes the desire of the female part, which the male part conveys to the Creator, and there is also what is received from the Creator. These are the three levels (lower, middle and upper) and the work between the levels.
This means that the upper should always have the opportunity to convey the prayer to the uppermost, to receive an answer from it, and to convey it to the lower. These parts always change places.
If I convey the Light to someone now, I am considered a male part and the receiving part is considered a female part. If the one who receives conveys the Light in his turn to someone else, he is considered the male part and the lower part is considered the female part, and so on.
There is no fixed gender in spirituality like in our world. It changes according to who you are in contact with, either with the upper or the lower. Every part that bestows is considered male.
We are Malchut, the Shechina. Our role is to gather all the parts of Malchut, to connect them into one woman, and to receive the Light from the Creator, who is considered the male part, Zeir Anpin.[142402]

Sin in Order to Rise Towards the Light

Question: On your shelf you have a disc called “The Tower of Babel, the Last Level.” Do you mean that this is the last level before the Source of Light?
Answer: The last level of the Tower of Babel is the biggest ego that exists in us. And you must reach it in order to rise to the world of Infinity, because you can only rise there through a big ego.
Question: But the model of the Tower of Babel is the model of sin. How can you use the human sin to arrive at the biggest Light?
Answer: This can be done because they are connected. When you reach the biggest sins, you merit the biggest Light.
Question: So I need to sin in order to come to the biggest Light?
Answer: That is right.
Question: So, you are pushing people to sin?
Answer: Right now I exist in a small point of this world and I want to attain a higher degree. But I am unable to do anything with the ego that I have now, because my ego is small, there is just enough to use in this world. This is why I need to reveal a big ego, let us say -100 kg (the minus is there to show that this refers to ego). Then I correct it into +100 kg of bestowal, and this way I attain correction.
 Sin in Order to Rise Towards the Light
And on a higher degree, I will have one ton of ego, which I will correct into one ton of bestowal.
And this will continue forever: one against the other. You sin, correct it, and arrive at the Light. Again you enter the ego, correct it, and again you attain the Light. This is how one advances in the spiritual world.
You must reveal your ego, because ego is the material where the spiritual world becomes revealed under the condition that you correct it from reception to bestowal. It is written that: “There is no righteous person in the world, who has done good deeds without having sinned.” This is why we need the revelation of the ego.
But we never work on revealing a big ego, evil, in us; on the contrary, we aspire towards the property of love and bestowal above and in spite our egoism. But when we succeed in this and acquire the property of bestowal, the egoism immediately grows, so we will rise above it once again. And this way we move ahead on two legs, the right line, bestowal, and the left line, reception.

Secret Work

The Torah, “Leviticus” (Metzora), 15:4-15:7: “Any bedding upon which the man with the discharge will lie, shall become unclean, and any object upon which he will sit, shall become unclean. And a man who touches his bedding, shall immerse his garments and immerse himself in water and he remain unclean until evening. And anyone who sits on an object, upon which the man with the discharge will sit, shall immerse his garments and immerse himself in water, and he shall remain unclean until evening. And anyone who touches the flesh of the man with a discharge, shall immerse his garments and immerse himself in water, and he shall remain unclean until evening.”
Any contact with the egoistic desires can lead to contagion of the corrected desires.
This speaks about a person who establishes an integral system of connection with others. Therefore, he has no right to begin doing anything without first clarifying his desires, since he may only suffer from that and eventually everything will break down. He will build it, but it will all collapse since there is an egoistic desire somewhere that will become active after being included in this whole schema.
It turns out that it is essential to discover my egoistic desire first. This is the essence of the Torah, which tells us how to draw the Upper Light in order to help us clarify the egoistic and the non-egoistic desires inside us; those that can already be corrected and those that are already corrected. Then they can be divided into three types: those that can be corrected, those that cannot be corrected, and those that are already corrected.
The Light should reveal these three levels inside me. There is nothing I can do with the revelation of the right desires, since they are ready. I have to simply suppress them so as not to allow them to connect with the egoistic desires, as it says that it is forbidden to sit in a certain place, to lie there, or to touch it.
Then it is essential to discover the desires that can be corrected and to start correcting them separately. The infected desires that cannot be corrected have to be isolated and only on the next levels, to the extent that I receive the powers of the next level, clarify them again and decide whether I can do anything with them.

Equip Yourself With The Higher Power Of Nature

Question: A regular person doesn’t even suspect that there is some kind of higher power that is approaching us and summoning problems in our lives. In ancient times there were prophets who told the people about the actions of the Creator. But who will explain to people today what is happening with them?
Answer: The role of Kabbalists is to explain what is happening to everyone, and the main thing is to say that there is a remedy for correcting the unpleasant situation we find ourselves in. We have the possibility of transforming all the negative phenomena into positive ones, transforming darkness into Light.
Question: For this, what kind of change must happen in us?
Answer: All the changes are directed only towards connection. We don’t feel anything else. We need to overcome the rejection, the hatred of one towards another, our indifference, and to understand that only through connection between us do we bring the higher power closer to us in a good way. This force will be clothed in us and then we will merit the most wonderful life.
Everyone will need to study the method of connection and unification in order to understand what must be done and how. In this manner, we merit a wonderful life and remove all of the disasters, problems, diseases, wars, and anti-Semitism.
A powerful weapon like this is in our hands, but we haven’t even suspected this, and this is the whole problem. People must discover and know what this higher power is and how to use it through our connection. The war is not conducted with an external enemy, rather within the people of Israel.
In the meantime, mentioning the Creator, the higher power, frightens a person because he connects these concepts with religious stereotypes he is accustomed to. Nobody knows exactly what is standing behind these words, but each one has his concept, and it seems to him that he supposedly understands.
But essentially, the Creator is the collective power of nature. There are many forces we learn about in physics, chemistry, biology and zoology. These are the laws of all kinds of natural systems. But the collective power that includes all the rest of the forces within it, the general system that includes the other systems within it, this is called the “Creator.” This is everything!
The Creator is not some kind of mystical image but the collective power that holds within it the entire creation that was created by it. Therefore this is what is called.
Besides that, the Creator (Boreh) symbolizes “Bo Reh” (come and see). This means that we can “come,” advance in our correction, and “see.” We approach this higher power through connecting with each other, and in this manner we form the ability to feel the Creator within us.
The law of equivalence of form exists according to which we can only feel such a phenomenon we have common characteristics with. So how can we acquire common characteristics with the Creator in order to feel Him? We attain characteristics like these through our connection with others.

To Be Based In The Spiritual World

The most important thing about our desires is to differentiate the pure from the impure, from the egoistic. There are egoistic desires that are possible to correct now, and there are those that are corrected at a later time, in the next stage, which are the higher ones, or those that aren’t in use and so are corrected at the end.
The uncorrected desires are spoken about in the Torah as those, as it seems, that go through a person’s skin and are seen on his face.
This is how a cell works in the material world. Genetics has discovered that our body is a huge mechanism, which includes trillions of trillions of cells and each of them are constantly correcting themselves, and what they cannot correct, they push outside.
We are not interested in what the cell throws out, but in the process of correcting desires, because it is the most important thing. The body, in any case, will die. But if you correct some of your desires, then you remain to exist in them. This means that you already have some hold on a minimum existence in the spiritual world. Afterward it is possible to continue working. The main thing is to establish yourself there.
Comment: This means that the desire doesn’t disappear, but remains for the future.
Answer: In nature there isn’t really anything that has no use. If something is not useful for us at the moment, it is only because we are not able to correct it.
Question: Even what humanity produces, is that also necessary?
Answer: Yes. But the corporeal world is automatically connected to the correction. In accordance to our thoughts and desires, all of nature is corrected, including the inanimate level of nature.
Comment: The weekly passage “The Leper” specifically speaks about this, that not only a person and his body, but also his house can be infected with leprosy.
Answer: Under the concept of “house,” man’s desires are also included. The Torah doesn’t speak about anything except man. All desires are divided into five stages: body, clothing, house, yard, and the rest of the world. But we mainly speak about the first four stages, since the main thing is to correct these four parts.

A Garden Of Eden For Nine Billion

Baal HaSulam, “One Commandment”: …(good deeds) are justified in and of themselves, since human conscience necessitates them. However, if one performs them from this perspective, he has not done a thing. In others words, these actions will not bring him closer to the Creator and to actual work Lishma.
Idealism and a good attitude won’t bring us closer to positive results because they contradict the thought of creation according to which we should unite through taking steps towards the upper. Actions that are not aimed at the upper force will trigger a huge failure.
Baal HaSulam used Russia as an example of a country where the idea of building communism had totally failed. If one’s reciprocal “good deeds” are not directed to the rightgoal, nothing positive will occur, so it is better without them
There are plenty of charities that help various countries and different segments of the population. They save people from famine, epidemics, and other disasters. Still, more and more people starve, get sick, and suffer from numerous disasters. Research shows that humanitarian aid to Africa never improved the general situation; on the contrary, acts of charity made it even worse.
How can it be that the world doesn’t know how to distribute the abundance? Why do our attempts to save people who have nothing to eat have a negative effect? At first glance, it looks illogical.
Maybe, we demotivate people from doing their work? However, nowadays they don’t have to work. It’s better to pay them for not being employed, since there is not enough work for everybody.
The fact that among the aging population there will be less working people and more “freeloaders” sounds frightening. But in reality, here is no need for so many workers. It would be even better if the vast majority of people stopped working right now. According to the latest statistics, if there are fewer jobs, the world would become a cleaner and better place. As to food, clothing, and shelter, there is enough for all.
In my eyes, less than ten percent (10%) of the population are able to provide for the normal, basic needs of the earth’s entire population. If we implement modern technologies, only two to three percent (2-3%) of the world population would have to be engaged in work to cover the needs of humanity. We have no clue what prospects are open to us by modern science, nor do we realize that a technological revolution is already at our doorstep. However, we are not ready for it because nobody knows how to reorganize the world.
Unemployment is a direct threat to the social order. Riots of youth in France and England vividly demonstrated that a few idle teenagers can destabilize the life of vast regions and districts. What if there were a million or several million hooligans with nothing to do?
This situation must be prevented. Before we change the system we live in, people have to be educated and taken care of. Special systems that serve more than 90% of the unemployed population have to be established. People have to be busy doing something else, otherwise what will happen to them?  People, who stay home without having anything to do, gradually go crazy. Marijuana was recently legalized particularly for them, but what’s next?
Family values are being broken in the Western world and significantly fewer people want to marry or have children. However, staying single does not solve their problems.
The population of our planet is forecast to grow to nine billion people in the next fifty years. Actually, it’s not the worst thing that can happen to us. In the last one hundred years, the population of one billion grew to seven billion regardless of the extremely devastating wars that took place in the 20th century.
Our major problem is becoming more apparent. At this time, our “good works” are not oriented to the higher goal. Without the correct intention that crowns the entire process, we won’t achieve any success.
On the contrary, had we organized the process correctly, the world could have turned into a paradise. For that, humanity doesn’t have to become zombies as it has now. People will acquire wisdom and obtain a new, enlightened spirit. They will realize what they are doing, and thus, they will be engaged in jobs of a completely different type.
People will be full of life. They will sense that they live in a vast reality, in an unlimited universe and that other worlds depend on them. They will interact with everybody around them. Together, they will change our reality. It is quite a different kind of work, isn’t it?
Gradually and methodically people have to be prepared for this transition.
