Len Saxe – Anti-Semitism

Why Can’t We Sense The Essence Of The Creator?

laitman_260.01Question: Why can we not sense the essence of the Creator?
Answer: We cannot comprehend the essence of the Creator since we do not have the tools for this.
Similar to how an animal cannot comprehend the human level, a human cannot comprehend the Creator’s level. To do so, we lack the necessary tools, that is, qualities.
Our properties, built on plus and minus, are created by the Creator in such a volume and on such a level that we can comprehend Him, but only on the basis of those qualities in which He created us. Above them, we cannot comprehend.
Question: Is this really the case or maybe something else?
Answer: Perhaps there is something else.
When at the end of 6,000 years, and maybe even earlier, we completely correct our qualities and correctly use both positive and negative properties, then we will finally reach the level that the Creator set for us: to attain Him in these 6,000 years.
Then it is quite possible that we will discover the next volume, the next void, which we can comprehend, for we ourselves still know nothing about it. There are some guesses, but they are just guesses.

The Common Point Of Goodness

laitman_938.04Question: If the Creator is always different for each and every person, how can He be a point of connection for people?
Answer: The fact of the matter is that connection occurs at the point of the Creator’s goodness toward us. We begin to understand that everything He does is absolutely right, reasonable, and good.
It is at this point of our impression of Him that we unite and become like Him. Therefore, this point of goodness becomes common to us.
Afterward, we again scatter in different directions, with new egoism, we hate each other again, and begin to gather again, but on the next, higher level.

Reveal The Upper World Together

laitman_939.02Question: Suppose one friend rose above himself, he feels the connection between us in the ten and the revelation of the Creator. The other friend, at this moment, does not feel this, he has different thoughts.
Should this happen at the same time or each one in turn; for example, today—one, tomorrow—the next one, the day after tomorrow—me?
Answer: Everyone will feel it at different times until you begin to feel the unity together, and only then does the Creator begin to reveal Himself in it. You must come to the point when inside yourself you live constantly in this collective solidarity. This is the group.
After all, a group is not just ten people sitting next to each other. The group is what they have separated from their egoism, they want to be above it, to unite in this and feel the Creator in order to give to Him, to exit themselves, but already together as one. Now, they are looking for where He is in order to give it all to Him, as if giving Him a bouquet of ten roses.
In The Book of Zohar, this state is compared to a rose among thorns. The rose (Hebrew: Shoshana) is MalchutShoshana is from the word “kick in the teeth” because it is very difficult to exit yourself, just as if a person gets hit in the teeth. Thorns are all the other qualities that you cannot connect to each other. In general, this is a big job.
But it cannot be that this happens today with you, tomorrow with another friend, then with a third, etc. You have to come to a state where you constantly work on it together, and your community and its direction to the Creator are the most important for you. This is the core of your existence, your life. Only this is worth living for. Everything else is as a small addition in importance!
Question: Can we discuss, in our daily work in the ten, how each of us feels about this and how to come to this?
Answer: In general, you can. Just try to treat each other with love because if a friend talks about how he wants to connect with the ten, then everyone else needs to be very careful not to take it lightly because you could cancel out the group’s combined effort.

What Can I Do With Negative Thoughts?

laitman_528.03Question: You said that when a bad thought comes to me, I shouldn’t resist it or reject it. So what should I do with it?
Answer: You have to work on it. Working on it means taking this thought with you all the way into the midst of the center of your ten, into the center of your small group, and making it disappear in your connection. Imagine you have a group where you unite as one whole, like soup cooking in a pot. When a thought comes, you throw it into this “soup” so that it completely dissolves in it.
The way it affects your group is the way it was meant to happen. The main thing is for the group to be ready to adapt this thought inside it, so that it dissolves in it completely. Then you will be able to see the right outcome of it.
Question: So, can I tell my friends in the group about this thought? Or is it enough to just think about it and it will be worked on inside the group?
Answer: You don’t have to tell them about it or you may choose to seek their advice. Gradually, based on your involvement in the group, you will see if you can consult your friends or if you still feel uncomfortable, etc…

I Want For Their Good

laitman_423.01Question: We are given society in order to become similar to the Creator. Several billion people walk around me. Is the only thing I need to do is engage in altruism toward them? Then will I become similar to this higher being?
Answer: There is no higher being! There is a higher property of bestowal and love. This is the power of emanation, development, bestowal, and positive influence.
Question: Is it a force similar to gravity that acts on everyone whether we want it or not?
Answer: There is no such force in our nature like the one we are talking about. The spiritual nature is a desire to do something just for the sake of someone, for the other’s complete good, without any connection with yourself. I perform a spiritual act when I detach from myself (this state is called “Tzimtzum”—the reduction of my desire) and I want to give everything to others for their good, without any connection to me.
Question: So, do I need to give something to the people around me? Why? I have nothing.
Answer: You have nothing to give and they have nothing to receive. We should just direct our desires. If I direct all my desires to others, I will turn into a transmitter, into a pipe through which the highest abundance, light, will pass through. But my direction to them should be absolutely selfless.
Question: So is it about intention, not about action?
Answer: Of course.
Question: Now I am imprisoned within myself; I automatically think about how to improve my state every second at all levels. So will a person take care of others the same way?
Answer: Yes. In this case, one will be called being in the spiritual world and in spiritual action, and then the person will see the whole world in a completely different way.

Freeing Up Space For The Creator

laitman_962.7Spiritual advancement depends on the extent to which we nullify ourselves to complete zero in front of the group. Every time I return to the thought of the need for self-annulment, I am again horrified. I myself would have never thought of such an idea; of course, it comes from the Creator either directly from above or through the environment by all sorts of means.
I myself am unable to want to annul myself by measuring my spiritual advancement with this measure of self-annulment. I find myself increasingly remote from spirituality, and my friends increasingly successful. It really discourages, deters, and annoys me.
However, on the other hand, I must understand that it needs to be so. If I do not retreat from such states and if I thank the Creator each time for reminding me of my work again and again, then “each and every penny accumulates into a great sum,” I advance and will some day succeed.
It does not even matter whether or not I see my success, but every time I get an awakening to the truth, to my nullification in front of the group, I take another step forward to the palace of the Creator, and therefore, I should be joyful.1
Beforehand, I had the desire to enjoy, egoistic knowledge. Then this place empties; it is this complete poverty that makes it possible not to demand fulfillment in understanding and feeling but to rise above them and ask for the ability to fill this emptiness with dedication to the Creator through the group. It turns out that I disconnect from the corporeal state, rise above it, and fill my desires with the greatness of the Creator. This is rising to the upper floor, to faith above reason.
It is impossible even to compare these two states: reason and faith above reason. Everything I understand and feel is within reason, and above reason there is something that I do not want to understand and feel: I want only to bestow to the Creator and feel how my friends in the group bestow to the Creator. Therefore, we are building a new state called “the upper world.”2
It is good that I feel emptiness and a lack of craving for and no use of spirituality. However, I simultaneously imagine the greatness of the Creator and the pleasure that I bestow to Him precisely by doing the work for Him without any reward. This should be very important to me.
The Creator purposely builds a state for me where I do not feel and do not understand Him, I do not feel any taste in Him. By this, He frees up a place in me cleansing it from the garbage of this world so that I begin to fill it with the greatness of the Creator.3

Kabbalah And The Nature Of The Light

laitman_761.3Question: There are some waves outside us that pass through our five sensory organs. They become processed by the brain, and inside us, as Baal HaSulam writes, that there is some kind of lens that scrolls this reality on a screen and I see it as particles of matter.
Is he saying that if a person looks at these waves, he sees them as particles, and if he does not observe them, then they behave as waves?
Answer: This is about the wave and particle nature of the light. A few thousand years ago, Kabbalists already knew from their attainment that these were simultaneously waves and particles. If we are dealing with the receiving light, then we quantize it, and if we are talking about general fulfillment, then we measure it in waves, in properties.

Open A New Perception Of Reality

laitman_961.2There are three components in perception of reality: the Creator, the friends, and me. The Creator is dressed in the friends and I want to relate myself to them. This is called: “Israel, the Torah, and the Creator are one.”
It all depends on what is considered illusory and what is reality. A child listens to how I tell him or her a fairy tale and perceives everything as the real reality, imagining how Little Red Riding Hood walks in the woods and meets the wolf. The child can cry or laugh, he lives it. For me, this is just fiction, a fairy tale. Everything depends on the level that we perceive what is happening.
We exist in an illusory, imaginary world. It is obvious that our feelings are the reactions of our five senses, which cannot be considered objective. If we received other senses, we would perceive a different reality and live in it. It is all a matter of conventions, consensuses between us. There is no truth in this world because there is no indicator against which it could be evaluated.
We must tune each other to a more truthful perception of the world, living according to the law of love for one’s neighbor and constantly improving. We can then gradually enter it. In this work there is a preparatory period when a person does not realize how he passes from degree to degree. Later he must start working consciously. I think it is already possible to do this in order to finish the holiday of Shavuot by taking a real half-step forward.
There is a network of connections between us that we do not feel. Yet, we must tune into them with the help of the principle “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This is the law of a new reality, a new way of thinking, a new desire, and new relationships.
A Kabbalist lives in two worlds, in two states simultaneously. Now I decide that together with the friends I will enter such a system of relations. There is nothing else, and only through this system I now look at the world, at reality, beginning to adapt to this new world through these new senses called “ten Sefirot.”
This world is an illusion we are born into. We seem to live in this world as if in a dream. Soon it will be revealed to us that all past life was a dream, a complete fantasy. Every time we move from our egoistic perception to bestowal, a new reality is revealed to us, such major changes that it seems to us that there can be no more than that.
In bestowal, such spaces open up that we could not even dream of. I become included in my friends and through merging with them I enter a new reality, as if in a magical dream.1
We cannot look back—this is the law. A new reality is opening up based on our inclusion in the friends, and there is nothing more. We have to aspire only toward it. The world is revealed through connection—these are new senses, a new reality, before which you must annul yourself, and then you will enter it.
Each of us was born and educated with an egoistic perception of reality. This is how we were calibrated, like a tool with many regulators. Now I myself, thanks to the internal awakening I have received, want to calibrate myself to a different perception of reality, which can only be done with the help of my efforts, the group, the teacher, and the Creator.2

The Evolution Of Desires

laitman_738Question: Is desire the foundation of nature?
Answer: Yes. There is only one substance called desire and nothing else.
Question: According to Kabbalah, there are different levels of desires. We are built so that we see the desires of the inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human levels outside of ourselves. Therefore, as a result, we see inanimate and vegetative nature, animals, and people. If we were built differently, would we see a completely different picture of the world?
Answer: Yes, it depends on our desires. If we were at a lower level of desires, we would find ourselves chasing mammoths, etc. It all depends on the evolution of desires.
Question: How many levels of desires do animals have?
Answer: They operate according to the same system we do because these are our desires, only on lower levels.
Remark: But they sense us even though they do not have human desires.
My Comment: Here again we have a question: do they exist by themselves or only in our imagination? After all, everything exists only with respect to one person; there is nothing else beside him. Everything else is what exists inside of him and what he sees outside of himself.
Question: What is the reason that we do not feel this?
Answer: Kabbalists gradually discover the reality we are talking about now and they describe it. Other people do not feel it because they have not reached this level. The development of a person with the help of Kabbalah leads to the fact that he begins to see the true reality in which nothing except him exists in the general white Light.
Question: That means that no one is better or worse. There is just evolution, a program set by nature. There are people who began to attain this reality a few thousand years ago and explained that there is no world outside of us. Are there those who are still in this process and will attain this in another thousand years?
Answer: Yes. This indicates that there are desires in a person that have reached their correction and the correct revelation of reality and there are desires that have not been revealed yet and have not reached the correct sensation of reality, and therefore, they present themselves to a person in the form of external people who do not yet understand this and do not agree with this.
Remark: I understand that a desire operates according to two principles: the first is the preservation of the current form, the second is attaching to itself everything that is presented to it.
My Comment: Any desire is initially egoistic; it wants to preserve itself and as much as possible bring everything it considers useful closer to itself.
Remark: Therefore, as Kabbalah says, our whole life is a search for fulfillment. Nature created desires in us and we are searching for where their fulfillment is because we cannot really fill ourselves.
My Comment: We are filled and will be filled in the form of reason, in the form of impressions, and in the form of changes, until our impressions and changes lead us to the vision of the true reality where there is nothing but our desire in which all these fluctuations occur.
We will work only to expand this desire as much as possible and thus feel in it an absolutely complete filling called the world of infinity.

New Life #12 – The Key To Success

New Life #12 – The Key to Success
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi
Two forces manage the world, giving and receiving. We use more of the power of reception and this leads to an imbalance in all natural systems. In order to build a safer, healthier, cost-effective society, humanity needs to balance its use of the power of receiving with the power of bestowal. The goal of human development is that everyone will reach connection with all of nature and become like one, unified family. When we achieve balance and connection, we come to know nature and we gain purpose in life. We feel ourselves as an integral part of the whole and eternal system.

From The Bottom Up

laitman_963.1The descent of the worlds builds the steps of the ladder that carry the light and the desires from top to bottom, corresponding to one another on each level. That is, the right conditions are given for the connection of the light and the vessel in all the states from top to bottom.
When this descent reaches the bottom of the ladder, a shattering occurs and produces the inter-inclusion of these two forces: the desire to enjoy and the desire to give. This creates the possibility of the correct inclusion into one another no longer in a negative and egoistic form in which a spark of light breaks through the desire to receive.
Today, through one’s efforts and work in a group of ten, a person can draw the reforming light that will highlight the spark placed inside the egoistic desire and begin to develop both the desire and the spark inside oneself. Thus, the development takes place even at the corporeal level because we awaken the light precisely due to the shattering and we start working on the connection.
As a result of the descent downward, the light and the desire almost reach zero. And at the very end of the ladder the shattering occurs after which creation can begin to climb back up the same steps. Only due to the shattering, the light can penetrate into the desire, and then the desire begins to understand and feel what it means to be similar to the light, and consequently, requires the intention to bestow.
Adam HaRishon is considered to be the first man because the foundation of creation appears in him first, and it was not there before. Creation has to be independent. Before the shattering, Adam HaRishon was an angel and was called “a man” only for the future. But after the shattering, he is ready for correction, receiving the desire to enjoy and the desire to bestow mutually included in each other.
Then, with the help of the light, one can begin to clarify one’s desire to enjoy and the spark within gradually takes the form of a man, Adam, that is, similar to the Creator. Desiring to become like the Creator, the desire to enjoy restricts itself and builds a screen, the reflected light. Because of the spark, the desire attracts the reforming light and clothes in the intention to bestow. But before that, it should feel hatred, rejection, and only after it will come to unity and love.
Until the human level, at which creation becomes independent, it is not separated from the light. All other levels: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and even a person who has not yet reached awareness, only carry out the instructions of the light without any freewill. Therefore, there is no reward or punishment in corporeal life in this world for anything.
After the descent of the worlds from top to bottom down to this world and the shattering of Adam HaRishon, matter began to develop automatically, due to the reforming light, on the inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels. But when creation reaches the last, fourth stage of the animate level, it is its turn to awaken the spark placed in it, and so, the “Homo loquens” (speaking man) appears in our world, that is, those in whom there is a point in the heart.
Such a person begins to feel that there is a certain force that controls him or her, and the person asks about the meaning of life. The person wants to become similar to the Creator, but finds only hatred and rejection in oneself instead of unity and love. Therefore, one realizes that one needs a ten and the reforming light and begins to act. Without the awareness of the evil, it is impossible to come to the good.1

New Life #11 – New Education

New Life #11 – New Education
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi
In order to attain the next stage in our development, humanity must engage in an integral education process that will change our nature from mutual hatred and exploitation to love and consideration. The method of connection, that is, the integral system of education, not only is about to save us from all evil, but also brings us to goodness. It will allow us to be in touch with the engine that runs the whole developmental process, the greatest force found in nature: love. First we need to educate people to build a balanced society through thought, speech, and deed. By this we put an end to all suffering, reach a balance with the force of nature, and live in perfect harmony.

Exist In Both Worlds

laitman_962.1We learn how to work on the first spiritual level when from feeling ourselves  inside our egoism (in this world), we rise to a higher level than our egoism where the Creator dwells. We need to discern these two steps—our egoism and the level above it—in order to live simultaneously on both levels. This will be our first spiritual degree.
The first spiritual step is the most difficult one because it is not even like a baby taking its first steps; it is an entirely new world and a completely new attitude to reality. Cardinal changes occur inside a person. I realize that the natural picture of the world is seen within my egoism, in the desire to receive with which I was born and which was created by the Creator.
This world does not exist in such a form by itself, but it appears so in my egoistic properties, which can be changed, and then the world will also begin to change. Therefore, for now, the world seems to us as dark, egoistic, and then it will change.
Such an image of the world is given to us from above by the Creator so that we can rise from this state. For this, we need to imagine that all this comes from a higher degree where the light, bestowal, and love reigns, and fills all of reality. All this exists above my ego, above this world, and I want to cling to this higher state.
But the selfish image of the world that I see now: black, unhappy, hopeless, unjust, also comes from the light, and apparently, with a specific purpose. Therefore, I remain with the sensation of this world as it is, but I want to belong to a higher state, a higher world, where the Creator, the highest light, the power of bestowal and love reigns. I want to merge with it. Therefore, I divide myself in two, trying to cling to the highest level with all my heart and soul, despite the fact that I feel myself below in my selfish desire to receive. I do not see any contradiction in this: these two opposite poles must exist.
The one who breaks away from the lower world and feels only the highest is called an angel. Living only in the lower world is resembling an animal. But one who tries to exist in both worlds at the same time, exists in faith above reason. The force of bestowal that one wants to find in the higher world must be higher than the force of reception ruling in the lower world, our egoism.
Further progress is to descend lower and lower into this world with all of its miasmas, and accordingly rise higher and higher, up into the spiritual world: from -1 to +1, from -2 to +2, from -3 to +3, and so on. It is said: “He who is greater than his friend, his desire is greater than him.” “Another” is my previous state. We need to descend to find out the broken desires, then raise them to a higher level and fix them. This is our job.1

Can A Person Control His Destiny?

Laitman_709Question: What does it mean to control one’s destiny, and is it really possible to control it?
Answer: A person controls his destiny in different fields: personal, public, state, economic, political, etc.
If we understand that everything is moved only by the upper light, the upper force, and only in order to develop us so that we can sense it, reveal it in ourselves, resemble it, then to the extent that we ourselves begin to make efforts to become like the upper force, we will follow a good path toward it.
Then all its effects on us will not be perceived as negative, painful, and forcing us to change, but as positive, desirable, and good. Everything depends on our attitude toward the forces of development.
Question: Does a Kabbalist know what he can change in his life and what he cannot?
Answer: Partially, yes.
Question: Does that mean a Kabbalist does not go where he or she cannot change anything?
Answer: On the contrary, he involves himself in absolutely everything. The fact is that he needs to participate in absolutely all actions, in every manifestation of nature’s forces.
At the same time, he knows in advance what he can change. What he cannot change is also an active deed because he restrains himself. But based on the whole gamut, on all the possibilities of his intervention in himself, in nature, in society, in the family, etc., he knows how to act, how to properly recruit all the forces of nature at the moment, assemble them and activate this combination.
But again, despite this, we live in a world that needs serious correction; each of us goes through very serious forms of breakage and is subjected to great pressure. We must experience all the mistakes on ourselves because, as it is written, ” There is no righteous man on earth who has done good and did not sin first.” Only after passing through all sinful states, can we reach the state of the righteous.
A righteous person is the one who has sinned a lot, but today understands the causes and consequences of everything that happened to him or her, and to the extent that one learns from one’s mistakes, can already be a righteous person.
It is impossible for a person to be kind, good, right, and wise, if one has not passed the states opposite to these. Only to the extent one was mistaken, can one be right today.

New Life #10 – Balancing Mankind And Nature

New Life #10 – Balancing Mankind and Nature
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi
Humanity is learning how to balance the two opposing forces that act within it in order to live in harmony with the rest of nature. We need to balance the mind and the evil inclination in order to create a prosperous, safe life for everyone. We need to see one another as equally valuable, as within a family. The correct development in all forms of nature is always a combination of the power of good and the power of evil. Rather than competing with one another, we need to work in mutual participation against the evil inclination. In other words, the ego is not good or bad, but how we use it makes it so. We must ask ourselves, are we aiming to harm others or benefit others in our intentions?

BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions)

Dr. Michael Laitman

From My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 6/16/19
“We all reject the deceitful allegation that BDS as such is anti-Semitic and maintain that boycotts are a legitimate and non-violent tool of resistance.” 240 Israeli and Jewish academics signed an open letter calling on the German government to rescind the bill stating that the boycott movement is anti-Semitic .
In a letter posted on the BDS website, they also call on the German government “to maintain direct and indirect funding for Israeli and Palestinian NGOs, which challenge the Israeli occupation.”
But what makes educated, reasonable Jews living in Israel express deep solidarity with organizations that delegitimize and tarnish their country? How do they envision the future?
It is a well-known fact that in all the international organizations, especially those working against the Jewish people and the State of Israel, such as the BDS, there are Jewish and former Israeli workers.
In fact, they are the greatest anti-Semites. This is their way of avoiding their true mission, and disassociating themselves from their spiritual roots. Some of them even believe that if they are assimilated, they will get rid of the “Jewish gene” that is embedded in them.
However, according to Kabbalah, this is impossible. Jews will forever remain Jews. They carry a spiritual root that is beyond their biology.
When a Jew feels growing hatred to this uncontrollable situation, which prevents him the freedom to choose who he is, he develops hatred towards the essence of the being Jewish. A hatred he cannot even explain to himself, but it is strong enough to motivate him to act aggressively against the Jewish people.
Therefore, some of them feel deprived and stressed by anti-Semitism – or rather anti-Israelism – and in order to escape the hatred toward them, they live in various countries around the world, trying to conceal their Jewish identity.
Whether consciously or not, they gradually become Jew haters. And there are others, who instead of leaving Israel, continue to earn a living, study and teach in Israel; yet in their hearts feel rejection to this place. They are those that would sign a letter of support for an anti-Semitic organization from their air-conditioned office behind the walls of an Israeli academic institution.
Every person can express himself as he sees fit, but not against the destruction of the other. Freedom of expression must be given to anybody that calls for peace – but not through means of negation and annihilation. Certainly not through anti-Semitic messages — we have had our fill of them.
If the academics are concerned about the fate of the State of Israel, then they would do well to open the history books, and the authentic sources of the Jewish people, and investigate the role of the Jewish people from times past to the present. To summarize for them: the role of the Jews is to be “a light unto nations.” The Jews carry the method for connecting all of humanity, but have no awareness of their role, or the weight of their responsibility towards the world.
When Jews unite and spread the system of human connection to the world, anti-Semitism will dissipate and all boycotts, demonstrations and accusations against the Jews will subside. The message is simple: rather than join hands to sign declarations, we need to join our hearts and be as one.

If It Comes From The Creator, I Need Nothing Else

laitman_962.5When a person begins to study Kabbalah, it is as if one jumps into the sea and at first does not distinguish the deep, subtle definitions. A person is like a newborn baby who in the first days does not understand anything, does not see, and does not hear. Most importantly, one is firmly attached to one’s will to receive, to one’s egoism. The first stage of spiritual work consists of cutting oneself off from this egoism, moving away from it, and looking at it from aside.
It takes years of work for the reforming light to do its work on a person and change him or her. The first change is that we begin to hear what the Kabbalists are talking about.
In order to enter spirituality, a person must make oneself an absolute zero, that is, from one’s will to receive, from one’s aspirations and expectations for something to change for oneself. That is, I agree with everything I receive and completely cancel any criticism.
Everything that happens comes from the Creator and undoubtedly is the best for me. Therefore, I do not think about it at all: the Creator acts only for my benefit. This limits my attitude to corporeal life.
With respect to spirituality, I also get the most optimal in everything. But I have nothing?! That is great, this is the best because I receive it from the Creator, who is good and does good! A person reaches this decision, accepting one’s corporeal state as the most optimal one without needing any additions, completely annulling oneself. The only thing I ask in both corporeality and spirituality is for the Creator to organize me according to His will and to help me to agree with it completely.
The first spiritual degree is the ability to completely adhere to the Creator, day and night, in light and in darkness, in sorrow and in joy, no matter what is happening. If I reach two such zeros: in corporeality and in spirituality, then I enter the spiritual world, the degrees of the ladder.
This is the ascent between the two states: from below—reason, and from above—faith above reason.
Everything comes from the Creator who knows what I need. My work is only to accept it completely. This most certainly does not mean that I forget about corporeal requirements: I must take care of my family and health. Yet, whatever my inner state is—in darkness and despair, in chaos and misunderstanding, in confusion and dullness of feelings, I agree with it as sent by the Creator and I am ready to remain in it forever.
I should ask to change not my state, but my attitude to this state. That is, I want to agree with it completely and not to demand anything more. If it is coming from the Creator, then I need nothing else.
I have nothing, not now, not in the future; there is complete darkness, the world has turned dark. All I hold on to is the fact that this state is intentionally sent by the Creator, the “good that does good,” and therefore, I expect no change. I do not demand the darkness’ disappearance and my reception of attainment and understanding; I am prepared to remain in the current state as much as necessary.
This is how I create my degree of Keter, the Kli of bestowal. The lower degree of the upper one is Malchut that has nothing in it. If I accept with joy this kingdom of the upper one (Malchut) in the form it is revealed: darkness and hopelessness, both in the present and in the future, beyond time, then it becomes my degree of Keter, the finest, bestowing Kli that shines upon me and allows me to continue the path.
On all the degrees, until the very end of correction, we must constantly annul ourselves to zero on our level and then from above we will receive additional higher degrees. This is the entrance to the spiritual world and the first contact of the lower one with the upper one. The upper one becomes my first spiritual state.

Everyone Has A Place In The General System Of Adam

Laitman_036Question: You said that it is very important to study the upper worlds and the structure of the soul because this is most important for spiritual advancement. But if we have friends in the group who do not want to study the structure of the soul, they are not interested in it, can they still advance? If they have no desire, can they attain the spiritual world?
Answer: There are very different people in our world, and each had a place in the completed creation. Each person born corporeally has a point inside him or herself that has its place in the general soul.
Therefore, you cannot reject anyone. Not a single person. He may be humanity’s greatest savage; nevertheless, he still must be corrected and granted his place in the common system, Adam—the common soul.
Therefore, if a person does not want to or cannot study the structure of the soul, he is not drawn to it, and he does not understand it, as long as he does not interfere, since there is a condition of “no coercion” in Kabbalah, then you leave him alone.
What does no coercion mean? He does not push you to be like him, he agrees to sit quietly and dissolve in the group, then he is like a germ in you, so you should leave him alone. As long as he brings no harm.
Such people should be kept close. Gradually, they will begin to get used to it, will start to feel things. Nothing can be done here. It is very difficult. I, too, was like this: I did not agree to it, had no desire for it, until I gradually came to understand that this was precisely the way to advance.
One cannot know the ways of the Creator, and so we have to advance. I went through many different states and therefore I say one must have patience, and if a person brings no harm, let him be with to us.

New Life #9 – The Power Of The Ego

New Life #9 – The Power of the Ego
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi
It is possible to harness the tremendous power of the ego to build a society that actually supports, develops, and unifies its members. Humans want to control the environment and use it for their own benefit, to bend it to be under them. If we put the environment first and show each person that society expects him to treat others well, envy, lust, honor, and control will work for the good. That is to say, he will use the same desires that he used to use selfishly, to the detriment of the environment, for the good of society because we will understand our mutual dependence. Using the ego correctly balances our relationships and all levels of nature.
