Does Democracy Exist?

laitman_600.04In the News (Council of Europe): “International Day of Democracy 2017, Statement by Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland
“Democracy, human rights and the rule of law fit together to the benefit of citizens in Europe and across the world. Democratic governance creates freedom, fosters opportunity and counters corruption in society. …
“On September 15 – and every day – let democrats hold their heads high and speak for their ideals.”
My Comment: There is no democracy in any communities or countries. In fact, democracy is impossible, because it is impossible for the masses to rule the masses. And if we choose someone, the question is,, how does he get chosen and who is behind it?
Democracy cannot exist by definition.
When could it be possible? Only if we take love and bestowal as the highest principle, which is above nature and above people, and commit to carry it through, can we talk about democracy. Practically, democracy is the corrected humanity facing the higher principle—the Creator.
Without the Creator, democracy cannot exist because it is the highest principle. And there can be no democracy without implementing this principle. And the wisdom of Kabbalahexplains how to do it.
A fair society is possible then, as Baal HaSulam writes in The Last Generation, everyone is absolutely equal, all complement each other, and all together we form one single whole. And the Creator, which is the upper force, will be revealed within this society. Together they will form a state that is called the last generation, which is the correct society.

The Opportunity To Choose Your Destiny, Part 4

laitman_760.5Question: If a person’s entire life is fully programmed from beginning to end, why in every present moment is he given the feeling that he himself chooses his next step: whom to marry, where to live, what to do?
Answer: Otherwise, a person could not survive; he would kill himself if he knew that he is living like an animal that is controlled in every move. What would remain in his life—only to seek how to spend every moment in a more pleasant way and to suffer less? What is the meaning of such a life and who needs it?
Question: So it is deliberately concealed from me that my life is already completely programmed in all its details so that I would be interested in continuing my existence as if I myself choose something, but in fact, nothing depends on me. Do animals have such feelings?
Answer: No. An animal instinctively obeys nature’s orders without questioning, like a biological machine. A person, however, can ask: “What am I living for? Why do I exist in this way? Can I change my destiny or not?”
This already is the beginning of a human being, which separates him from an animal. He begins to rise above his animal existence to a higher level. He no longer wishes to live only to fill his needs like an animal, but he seeks a higher goal.
Question: What does it mean to become a positive element of the program, having the opportunity to influence your destiny?
Answer: We are allowed to tune into the program of life only on the condition that we would add positive forces to it, that is, if we raise this program from an animal level to a human one, making an “upgrade” of it. If I use my life for the sake of positively influencing the general program that operates on us, which is called the upper force, then I receive the opportunity to do it.
Then I have a positive influence on my own destiny, on everyone else, and on the program as a whole. I am able to change the movie of life and become a partner with the higher force, which governs this entire program.

The Fall From The Level Of A Man

Laitman_153Torah, Deuteronomy 28:26: Your corpse will be food for all birds of the heaven and for the beasts of the earth, and no one will frighten them [away].
This means that you fall from the divine level on which you could dwell to the human level, then from the human level to the animal level, and from the animal level to the level of “carrion.” Therefore, you become food for the lowest, non-kosher and wrong level of your beast.
That is, this person who was supposed to be a Man within you, these desires and qualities turn into carrion that also serves all kinds of Klipot (impure forces) for their strengthening.
Your egoistic desires that did not give you an opportunity to defeat enemies that you surrendered to because you did not tackle them by faith above reason eat you in the most impure way.
You were going to go by faith above reason above all the obstacles that the Creator puts before you in order to unite with others and to create a place for His revelation, but you did not withstand it. Therefore, everything shattered into its constituent parts, seven parts of the spiritual Partzuf, the body of the soul.
Thus, the body of the soul falls to the human level, but one in which nothing viable remains that can only be food for your impure forces, qualities, thoughts, desires, and intentions. This is your “carrion” that devours the Man (Adam) in you, that is, the qualities that are ready for the level of Man.

To A New Year, To A New World!

laitman_293.1Dear Friends!
We are on the threshold of the New Year, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah—great and important holidays. These holidays represent very high, very deep, and very broad Kabbalistic concepts. They open the doorway to the upper world for us.
I invite you to use this special time of year and these holidays as a presentation of a new level of human development, and to enter the sensation, the attainment, of world that surrounds us, the system controlling us, that which the science of Kabbalah speaks of, and to really awaken to a new world in the new year.
I invite you!

Holidays From The Perspective Of Kabbalah

Laitman_506.1Question: How are the autumn holidays of Rosh HaShana (New Year), Yom Kippur (Judgement Day), and Sukkot, explained from the perspective of Kabbalah?
Answer: Our entire work lies in the need to collect and reconnect the broken shards of a shattered system called Adam back into a unified whole. There was a system, one soul, one mechanism, one desire, and then this desire shattered into a multitude of pieces. And we need to collect all these desires into one general desire the way it was prior to its shattering. This is our main task. That means, a person who did or did not contribute some kind of effort toward this task during the past year must examine himself.
This self-examination is the purpose of the week prior to the New Year, during which we need to think about how we spent the past year, to what extent we contributed to creating the right kind of foundation for humanity to unite in friendship, love, and mutual guarantee among them. It is an assessment of what I have yet to complete, and it’s called Slichot, translated as “forgiveness.” We don’t need forgiveness from anyone, only from ourselves: where did I blunder, where didn’t give enough, where didn’t I judge correctly, etc.; all this is with respect to our effort in creating unity among people. I examine myself: Did I have the opportunity? What kind and how did I realize it?
After this self-examination, the New Year begins. New Year means that I begin a new cycle of the calendar starting from a particular day. This day is called the birth of Adam. In other words, the New Year that we celebrate is the day Adam was born.
But what does it mean to be born? There once existed a person who suddenly received an awakening: the entire panorama of the controlling system of our world and the need for people to unite was revealed to him. All this he described in the book HaMalach Raziel  (Secret Angel). After him, students continued to pursue this revelation, and so on, to the present day.
That is why we celebrate the day of the appearance of the first person in our world who revealed this system of connection between people, how we should be interconnected, and how we could achieve our correction and come to unity. Then, after we decide that this is the way we choose to act, the ten days after New Year begin, leading up to Judgement Day when we examine, with precision, each of the ten Sefirot of our soul, each day focusing on a specific Sefira, and we begin to determine how much we still have to do and where we still need to correct ourselves.
Then begins a 24-hour period, called the Day of Judgement when we have to evaluate our behavior and we have to reveal the hatred we hold toward each other, our rejection of one another. We then need to ask for forgiveness from each other; we need to actually draw closer to each other so that this forgiveness is not just a formality, but is truly coming from a cleansed heart. Judgement Day is a day when we attempt to penetrate all the corners, all the hidden places of our egoism, and pull it all out and promise ourselves that we will correct all of it and come to unity among us.
After this, we have five days corresponding to the five Sefirot: Keter, Hochma, Bina, Zeir Anpin, and Malchut, and then the holiday of Sukkot begins. Sukkot is a time when we begin to receive correction from the Surrounding Light (Ohr Makif), which is shining upon us through the roof we build ourselves out of green branches of plants.
We sit in this sukkah for seven days, allowing this Light to act upon us, all the way through to completion, through Hesed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod, and Malchut. And each day we celebrate the correction of each Sefira of our soul, which is the result of the action of the Surrounding Light.
When we completely correct our soul, it can receive the upper Light. That is why this day is called the holiday of the Torah, that is, the holiday of Light. That’s how we conclude the complete cycle of the autumn holidays.
We learn about the manner in which we should act, how our soul is built, and what corrections the soul goes through in each moment of time. A great deal of literature is devoted to this. And all of this is described in specific, physical laws of our inner world.

People Don’t Change, You Change

laitman_546.03Question: The nicer I am to others, the less they take my opinion into account. Is it me who has changed or have the people around me changed?

Thou Shalt Not Lend Upon Interest To Thy Brother

laitman_527.01Torah, Deuteronomy 23:20: You shall not give interest to your brother, [whether it be] interest on money, interest on food or interest on any [other] item for which interest is [normally] taken.
It is forbidden to give with an expectation of receiving more in return, that is, to charge interest anywhere and in anything! I cannot give you use of my donkey expecting for you to give me back two, as is common in business practice today. After all, in what you gave me is your gain, not mine, because you gave.
Jews were blamed for usury, but it was not actually usury, but interest on the debt. We are only now beginning to understand why a person must return a greater sum of money to the moneylender who lent it to him.
Torah, Deuteronomy 23:21: You may [however,] give interest to a gentile, but to your brother you shall not give interest, in order that the Lord, your God, shall bless you in every one of your endeavors on the land to which you are coming to possess.
“A foreigner” is the desire that is still aimed “for me.” In the process of correcting these desires you want to extract maximal profit for the quality of bestowal from them and reshape egoistic qualities to altruistic ones with as high an interest as possible.
In the Torah, when it is written that you can steal from non-Jews, rob them, etc., what is being referred to is the way we need to transform our egoism because the Torah only speaks about the inner correction of the individual.

Don’t Change Life But The Attitude To It

Laitman_715Question: How does a person’s daily life reflect the fact that a person gets to know the program of creation and becomes a partner of the upper force?
Answer: Such a person begins to live in two dimensions simultaneously, his body lives in our world and his mind is in the upper world. He raises his head above the clouds and can see the entire world from one end to the other.
He sees the entire process that the creation goes through and the end of this process when we comprehend there is one force acting in nature called the Creator.
Question: How does this affect his everyday life?
Answer: This affects all his decisions, his attitude toward other people, and moreover, he feels himself the happiest and belonging to eternal nature. He does not have a feeling that his life will end soon because he exists above life and death.
Question: And how does he relate to different events in his life?
Answer: He himself defines these events and therefore perceives them as good. If for the time being not everything is revealed to him, then he learns from this. However, in principle the goal is to make everything clear to him from the beginning to the end so that there will be nothing to add. Such a state is called adhesion with the upper force.
Question: How should a person relate to the events if he has not yet reached complete agreement with them?
Answer: He must try every time to rise above his states and agree with them in order to turn these events for the benefit of his progress and for the common benefit.
Question: Can he feel guilty?
Answer: If a person in his desire to enjoy does not perceive all events as good ones, this indicates that his desire is not corrected yet. Through this he should understand what he is lacking in order to agree with the upper force and enjoy its governance.
If he is on the correct path, he will feel himself in the world of absolute goodness without any contradiction between him and the upper force and in complete adhesion.
Question: So, how do I, at every moment in my life, need to relate correctly to everything that is happening?
Answer: We must not try to change our lives, but our attitude toward life. After all, this is how we establish connection with the upper force, understanding that only it controls life and reveals its absolute kindness. In this case, we reach adhesion with the Creator, which is the ultimate goal of our development. Then we will see what happens next.

The Birth Of The Soul And Its Spiritual Parents

Laitman_632.4Question: How does the birth of the soul happen? What are spiritual parents?
Answer: Spiritual parents are Aba ve Ima (Father and Mother), qualities, Sefirot Hochma and Bina.
The upper Light descends from the world of Infinity and builds five worldsAdam Kadmon, Atzilut, Beria, Yetzira, and Assiya, which can be represented in the form of circles. Another additional Partzuf called Adam is being built inside of them.
Adam HaRishon was born in the world of Atzilut, which consists of the following Partzufim: Atik, Arich Anpin, Aba ve Ima, Zeir Anpin, and Malchut and they are called ZON (Zeir Anpin and Nukva).
Partzuf Aba ve Ima is Father and Mother from which Adam HaRishon is born. After his birth, he descended to his place, to Malchut. All this happens due to the influence of the upper Light.

Then the desire called Adam wants to rise to its final state, the complete correction, which is complete similarity to the Creator (green arrow), which is also called Infinity. However, when Adam makes an attempt to rise to this state, the lurking serpent in him is immediately revealed.
Usually the serpent sits deep inside the desire and nothing interests it. However, as soon as it is influenced by the upper Light directed against it, it wakes up immediately. We have a very interesting picture: on one hand, there is the upper Light, and on the other hand, there is the serpent. That is, we have two opposites.
As a consequence, the entire construction of Adam falls downward (the blue arrow) into the states that are called below the Parsa, where pure the worlds Beria, Yetzira, and Assiya exist and against them also impure worlds Beria, Yetzira, and Assiya (egoism, Klipa).

The soul that is born from its lowest state called the “fall of the soul” comes to the space between pure and impure worlds.
Thus, a soul is a desire—there is nothing else in it. It was born from its parents Aba ve Ima and is called Adam from the word “similarity” (Dome) with the Creator, which it must attain in the future. The moment it wished to ascend and become like the Creator, a serpent was revealed in it in relation to the upper Light, and therefore it fell into the created pure and impure worlds and began developing in them.
From here we have three lines: the left (blue line on the drawing), the right (green line), and the most important middle (red line).
When all three lines work with each other, they are called a soul (yellow color on the drawing). One cannot exist without the other.
Question: Must the dark worlds necessarily exist against the pure worlds?
Answer: Yes, and moreover, everything exists precisely because of the impure worlds. We underestimate egoism. It would be impossible to do anything without the serpent. Thanks to the method that is called the Torah (from the word “instruction,” or “light” (Horaa, Ohr), we can isolate the separate correct parts from the serpent, correct them, and move on.

The Creator Is The Source Of Everything

Laitman_049.01Question: If only the Creator exists and He is absolute good, who and what is the origin of all the suffering and deficiencies of the creature?
Answer: It is the Creator. He is the origin of everything. He says so, “I created the evil inclination” (Kiddushin, 30b). He doesn’t even ask for forgiveness. You will suffer thousands of years, but then it will be good for you.

Everything Is Decided Only In The Upper World

laitman_237The truth is that The Book of Zohar does not speak about this world at all, but only about the upper worlds. (The Book of Zohar, “Vayetze”)
In our world there are no changes; we cannot do anything in it, and therefore, there is nothing to say about it. We see how we bang our heads against the wall trying to solve something, but in fact, nothing is solved in this world.
Everything is decided only at the upper level. And our world is just a place where we prepare ourselves for the entrance to the next level, to the upper world.
Our purpose is to achieve it and start working in it. Therefore, in our world there are no corrections; all the corrections take place only in the upper world.

Jpost:“Rosh HaShana Is An Opportunity For Change”

The Jerusalem Post published my new article “Rosh HaShana Is An Opportunity For Change
Considering the disasters America has been through this past month, it seems like Rosh HaShana couldn’t come at a better time. Actually, the words “Rosh HaShana,” come from the Hebrew words “Rosh Hashinui”—the beginning of change. We can only hope that the change will be for the better.
Jewish holidays are known for their culinary treats. But besides food and family gatherings, Jewish festivals have profound spiritual meanings. Rosh HaShana is not just the beginning of the Hebrew calendar; it is also a symbol of renewal. This is when we begin to scrutinize ourselves and determine how we want to improve ourselves.
Tasting from a fish’s head means that we want to be the head and not the tail. This implies that we want to determine our path for ourselves and not follow the herd blindly. We eat pomegranate seeds, and each seed represents a desire we have discovered within us, and which we want to learn how to use for the sake of others rather than selfishly. And the apple we eat symbolizes the sin (of self-centeredness), which we mitigate (sweeten) with honey, again symbolizing our desire to learn how to use even that primordial temptation altruistically.
The people of Israel coined the saying, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” and to various degrees implemented it until the ruin of the Second Temple. All of our festivals symbolize milestones along the path of transformation from the evil inclination—namely egoism—to altruism, where we love our neighbors as ourselves.
Our sages tell us that the only reason why the Second Temple was ruined is unfounded hatred. That is, when egoism takes over, we fail and fall. We were established as a nation only when we vowed to unite “as one man with one heart.” When we broke that vow, we were dispersed and exiled.
No less important than our vow to be as one was the commandment we were given to be a light unto nations. But in the absence of the bond between us, what light do we emit? When we are united and we show it, we become a light unto nations and realize our vocation as Jews.
Today, mistrust and alienation prevail on all levels of humanity—from the interpersonal through the social, national, and to the international. Clearly, we are growing increasingly alienated from each other—the opposite of the unity and brotherly love that are so vital for survival in a world where everyone depends on everyone else.
The more we pursue the current trend, the greater the pressure that will be applied on the Jews. Deep down, the world remembers that the Jews once knew the secret to proper human connection. When that memory surfaces, it is vented out as accusations that we are warmongers, manipulators, and similar tirades that have become part and parcel of the anti-Jewish lingo.
Although we, too, are disconnected, we are the ones who can and must rekindle our unity. We may still be very far from it, but at least we can recognize the indispensability of this unjustly derogated value: unity.
Therefore, this Rosh HaShana is an opportunity to really make it Rosh Hashinui, the beginning of change. Here and now we should begin to change how we relate to one another. As we gather with family and friends, we must make it a point to rise above our differences and find the common goal of unity. And when we do so, the previously mentioned woes will be no more, since they all derive from one and only origin—our separation.
This year, let us spread some honey on our alienation and sweeten it with caring and concern for one another. After the recent tragedies America has suffered, it could sure use some mutual concern and mutual responsibility. And really, unity is all we need. Unity is all that the world needs, and is the key to our lasting happiness.
[213952]

What Is Evil?

laitman_207Question: What is evil: the desire, the intention, or a particular combination of both?
Answer: Evil is what is not related to the Creator. Everything you can imagine that does not pertain to the nature of the Creator is pure evil.
It turns out that our whole world, all the forces, all the manifestations at various levels of nature, are absolute evil. In order to manifest Himself toward us, the Creator made a creation opposite to His qualities. It is called the desire to receive for self alone or egoism.
This desire can only feel itself, nothing outside of it. It has no ability to understand, conceive, or perceive anything else. Therefore it is the foundation of future evil. It is not evil itself yet, because the desire is not at fault for acting this way since it was created this way from the very beginning.
That is why the desires of this world, which pertain to inanimate nature, that is, to what exists in all the vast galaxies, to the vegetative nature that grows on our planet, and to the animal world that exists on Earth, including ourselves for we are animals in our bodies, all are the embryo of egoism. It is not egoism itself, rather a desire to exist, to fulfill itself.
Egoism is a term for what is above the animal level. As a rule, a person consists of part animal, and in this he is not an egoist because he wants to exist as any animal does. However, he also has something that exceeds his animal level, when he yearns for more than his material body does. That is already called “egoism,” although it is not a final state, but rather, “I want more.”
If I want more at the expense of others, with it I’m stealing from them, this is true egoism. If, however, I purposely behave in such a way to derive pleasure from being ahead of others at their misfortune, that is an advanced level of egoism. There are many different degrees of the growth of egoism.
In other words, everything that is inside us as people is egoism; everything that is in us as animals on an inanimate, vegetative, and animal levels are regular nature.
Therefore, egoism is a desire to get pleasure at the expense of others, when I rejoice at being ahead of everyone else.
Animals eat each other because of hunger. For example, a crocodile swallows a cow and then does not have to eat for six months; he had enough. The snake, after swallowing its prey, lays without moving with no concern for anything else. But not a person. As I “swallow” one cow, I already think of how to eat the second one, or at least catch it and hold it for later. Animals don’t really have that.
That is why everything that we do above our natural desire to fill ourselves is human egoism that is reaching ever-new heights.
In this we are different from the Creator. The constantly evolving egoism inside us that acts to the detriment of others is the root of the evil of our nature, and thanks to it, on one side we conquer the world, but on the other, we corner ourselves into a dead end.

From The Desert To The Land Of Israel

laitman_747.01Torah, Deuteronomy 29:04 – 29:05: I led you through the desert for forty years [during which time] your garments did not wear out from upon you, nor did your shoes wear out from upon your feet. You neither ate bread, nor drank new wine or old wine, in order that you would know that I am the Lord, your God.
In the desert I eat only MAN (manna) because it is the quality of Binabestowal—there is nothing else. I feed only on the quality of bestowal.
It is my bread, my food, and my clothes—absolutely everything. Clothes mean all the screens (Masachim) that are on me. Food is the Light of Hassadim that I consume and live by. It means that all this is just adhesion to the Creator. I cling to Him with all the egoistic desires that arise in me, and thus I am cleansed of their egoistic fulfilment.
I live and am fulfilled only by the fact that every time I get closer and closer to Him. I receive a life-giving force from Him.
In other words, MAN are the degrees that a person goes through during the so-called 40 years of wandering in the desert, that is, the ascent from Malchut to Bina.
They are called rungs of purification, not rungs of realization of egoism to altruism but of purification, because I do not use the egoistic desires, I only rise above them leaving all my egoism below.
And when I start shovelling egoism that I left below, it means that I am already in the land of Israel.

Ahead Of The Blows Of Fate

Laitman_703.04Question: If it just seems to us that we ourselves choose our destiny but in fact it has already been written in advance, then how does this program manage my life, how does it guide me through all the events?
Answer: You exist within this program as its passive element. It does not even need to control you because you are included into it as one of the transistors in the processor. Various signals go through this transistor and it seems to it that it lives an independent life. This is how you feel your personal life as a fragment of the general picture.
Question: In this case, how should I relate correctly to the various sad and happy events in my life?
Answer: Animals respond to everything instinctively in accordance with the inherent qualities included in the program. Therefore, they cannot have any independent reaction. People, however, have developed above animals and so they began feeling experiences associated with complex memory systems, and from them they built answers to the things that happen to them in life.
An animal reacts only to the momentary conditions, such as rain, snow, or a dangerous predator. But people have already begun to connect their destiny with different forces of nature, and therefore they started to worship the sun, the moon, and so on. They started bringing offerings to these forces, trying to appease them. This is how religions appeared.
Our forefather Abraham also made idols until it was revealed to him that he could not influence his destiny in this way. Religion provides only psychological help, which of course is also very important. But it does not influence the upper forces of nature in any way.
Question: Through what can you influence the upper forces of nature?
Answer: A person exists inside the forces of nature, under their influence. However, if he finds out to what goal they lead him, he will be able to go ahead of these forces. If he himself performs actions, even before these forces push him, then he will be able to advance voluntarily to the goal assigned to him.
The forces of nature advance him by sufferings, pushing him from behind, and he will advance through his own actions, striving to move forward.
Question: How will I find out to what goal the forces of nature are pushing me?
Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah deals with this. By studying it, a person learns how to advance toward the goal. He will already have the vision of the state in which he should be.

Society Of The Future: Glory Of Bestowal

laitman_939.02Question: It is written that the last generation will have many methodical books of wisdom and morals that prove the glory and sublimity of excellence in bestowing upon others, to a point where the entire nation, from small to great, engage in them wholeheartedly.”(Baal HaSulam, The Last Generation). What is this proof?
Answer: Only those who acquire qualities of bestowal and love have the proof.
An inversion of perception of reality takes place in a person who receives the upper qualities. He begins to feel everyone closer than himself, more important than himself, and above himself. Their knowledge, feelings, thoughts, approach, principles, and decisions become more important to him than his own behavioral bases.
Through others, he begins seeing the world outside of himself and eventually realizes that there is a common, single, and kind force in the world that keeps everyone on itself and pervades the entire universe. It fills the world with kindness, love, interrelation, and the feeling of eternity and perfection.
This is what is revealed to a person who acquires qualities of feeling his neighbor.
He gradually expands his circle that starts from the ten consisting of people who are close to him in spirit, methodology, and purpose. Then to this ten he attracts external tens who are studying within the framework of Bnei Baruch Kabbalah, then he moves to the people of Israel because these people were in the state of mutual love 2,000 years ago before destruction of the Temple, that is, before the disruption of good relationships between people.
And only after this he moves to the rest of the nations of the world, as it is written: “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”

Is The World Within Me Or Outside Of Me?

laitman_423.02Question: Everybody knows that The Book of Zohar speaks about a person’s perception of reality. It is written in it that “a person is a small world.” That is, the entire world is within a person. If everything is in me, then how can it be that someone from the outside intervenes in my reality and can even harm me?
Answer: He does not exist outside of you. He is within you.
You are arranged in such a way that there are antagonistic qualities and forces within you. However, since you have not achieved a state of inner harmony yet, instead of seeing all the negativity within you as some bad inner combination, opposition, and antagonism of qualities and forces, you see it from the outside.
All this is for you to correct yourself internally. You are specifically shown all the faults from the outside, so that it is clear to you what you must correct within yourself. After all, you do not feel this inside yourself.
Question: That is, ideally, it would be good to feel all this inside myself?
Answer: If you could correct this inside yourself, then outside you would see only simple white light, the quality of love.

“And The Lord Will Bring You Back To Egypt In Ships”

Laitman_161Torah, Deuteronomy 28:68: And the Lord will bring you back to Egypt in ships, through the way about which I had said to you, You will never see it again. And there, you will seek to be sold to your enemies for slaves and handmaids, but there will be no buyer.
None of the nations will want you to live within their borders. The fact is that the desires that are subject to correction, in which the point in the heart arises, cannot exist inside egoistic desires.
They will be pushed out by the law of equivalence of form, and therefore the Jews will be completely isolated from others. And where will they be? Speaking from the geographical point of view, it is simply not clear where and how they will live because the only place for them is the land of Israel.
On the other hand, in order to choose the path of correction, a person must have freewill. This is a problem. I personally hope that there will be another round such as the one in the days of Tsarist Russia when the first Jewish societies that returned to Palestine were born.
Comment: But then the Jews were running away from pogroms.
My Response: Perhaps such circumstances will arise once again when they will be forced to leave the countries of exile. But this time there will be a basis prepared for them, a reason to return here. We are preparing this basis.
Question: It is written: “And the Lord will bring you back to Egypt in ships.” What does this mean?
Answer: To return to Egypt means to return to your egoism. If you are running away to some place, it is considered that you are running away by sea. There is no other way out of Israel, only by sea. All of this is explained in the Torah.
