Torah, Deuteronomy 10:16: You shall circumcise the foreskin of your heart, therefore, and be no more stiffnecked.
“You shall circumcise the foreskin of your heart” means that you need to trim the edge of your heart because you are entering a state called the land of Israel when one needs to open his heart to complete correction.
The meaning of circumcision is that the desires that are impossible to correct are removed from the heart. The correct Kli (vessel) or soul consists of ten Sefirot. At first, we can correct only a certain part of it, and the rest is as if removed; in other words, it is not used for a certain time.
This action is performed by the Upper Light that cuts off, like a knife, the uncorrected part, protecting it so that we won’t touch it. Thus, I am confident that I never will make a mistake and won’t start using those desires for which I have no power of correction.
The Light performs all actions without exception: both fulfillment and circumcision. In this case, it acts like a knife.
