From Shabbat Page on the 27th of October 2017

Asking for the Friend

You ask for them simply, even artificially, without having any inclination or anything for this, not even from the heart; but you arrange for an appeal like this. Just write on a page what you want, in English, what language it is doesn’t matter, “I want to pray for my friends in a group of Ten so that they will receive the power of bestowal so that You, the Creator, will help them and in a form like this we can together achieve giving You contentment”. So it is in a simple form like this. Afterwards, in a few hours, take a look at the page and you will see, “What did I write? I don’t feel this at all. I was excited before and now this is nothing at all, no. So I am erasing this, I will write it differently”. Write it differently. After a few hours, write it differently again. And that is how you will advance.
From the Morning Lesson, Part 1, October 20, 2017

The Importance of the Group of Ten
The group of Ten is a means for attaining the Creator, the greatness of the Creator. The group of Ten is the Kli; it is the Shechina and the Creator is the inhabitant (Shochen). We must ultimately be concerned about the greatness of the inhabitant, the greatness of the Creator. The group of Ten is the right design for us that will constantly be designed more correctly, more internally, more closed; and the Creator will bring us a Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Haya, Yechida; and so from level to level, each time more and more, this is what we are going to attain. So the Kelim are attained, the correction of the Kelim, the connection between the Kelim in a system; and there is reception of fulfillment in the system. I change the range on the radio and I get the first station, after that a second station, after that a third station. I do this by changing the mechanism itself on the radio. This is called, “I am improving the group of Ten”, elevating it from level to level and perceiving higher and higher waves accordingly. This is already the discovery of the Creator.
From the Morning Lesson, Part 1, October 20, 2017

Prayer
Who prays? I do. Where do I pray? It is from my heart, from my desire. About what do I pray? It is about being included with the friends and feeling, imagining to myself how much they want to achieve adhesion with the Creator, bestowal, but that they depend on me, on my request. So I ask the Creator to help them achieve this. It means that my desire to help them includes their deficiency in reaching bestowal. That is what I am praying about. By praying to the Creator, I take their deficiencies in bestowal and multiply them by my desire to bestow because I understand that they are found to have a deficiency. It is all of this that I elevate to the Creator.
From the Morning Lesson, Part 1, October 23, 2017

Concern About Others
Instead of being concerned about yourself be concerned about others and you will see through this how much you will be released from being concerned about yourself. Everything will work out, even egoistically. This is simply what we must carry out and then see how much it will work. On the one hand, you could say, “Yes, if I think about someone, my little child for example, then I am not thinking about myself. I might feel a bit better or a bit worse, or all kinds of things and problems. They don’t concern me. The only thing that concerns me is him”. On the other hand, we must understand that it is not just done this way psychologically, rather there are spiritual forces. If I care about someone, even if that person is someone who is physically close to me, this works. And then in this way I become detached from my desire to receive. That is how it must be in regard to the friends.

From Shabbat Page 24/10/14

The Place of His Glory
The Torah corrects us all the time, depending only on to what extent and with what we participate. This means that there is such a movement here in which I apparently don’t participate but react. My body necessarily reacts to what is happening, to what the Torah brings me, and this is called the way of “in its time.” More or less, this is the way in which all of humanity is found. There are also people who have the opportunity to advance consciously, with understanding and awareness, with sensitivity. According to the awakening that they get, they are called “Israel,” “Yashar-El” (Straight to God). So they can assist in their own development and advance more rapidly. But their advancement is that they are concerned about the world. They take upon themselves the task of the Creator, bringing all of creation to adherence with Him. And so these people who receive an awakening must examine the awakening they received, what it is for. This is not for their own benefit; rather they must be representatives of the Creator and convey, on whatever plane they exist, His Torah, His task, to be the conduit to all of humanity and to bring them closer to the Creator. So they have a big job of scrutiny and correction, specifically for this purpose. So they don’t want to correct themselves and advance towards being for the Creator and adherent to him, no. Rather, they must first of all be concerned about everyone. So they begin to understand that the Creator is not found alone. There is nothing like this; rather, the Creator is found within corrected humanity. They must reach this. So it takes a long time until a person scrutinizes where the place of the glory of the Creator is. And after that, he already begins to act correctly. He understands also that nullification for the sake of bestowal and adherence with the power of bestowal can only exist through the creatures, “from love of the creatures to love of the Creator.” Then he arranges all of his actions according to this.

From Shabbat Page 12th of September 2014

Profiting Much from Everything that Will Be in a Convention
I could be at the end of the world, in a small and weak group, but if I prepare myself with the right fear that this is the first Mitzvah, the essential state, then it is not important where I am found; I could profit much from everything that will be in this convention. I must know how to be integrated in this society, really be there among them, to nullify myself. In particular, I must suggest to those who think that they have everything to instead think like a group that thinks they are great, understanding, and sensitive. I think that there is a great fear here that the people who think like this are the opposite. Not only will they not gain from the connection, but on the contrary, they will enter into Klipa, and this is a very big problem. So all of our preparation before the convention must be that we begin to feel how small we are in contrast to them and must be integrated. In general, “Every person who is greater than his fellow has a greater evil inclination,” even if we don’t feel it. This is concealed from our eyes so that we don’t see and don’t feel how much we are included with them, don’t submit towards them, and so on. This is the first preparation, this is the “Mitzvah of awe.” It is awe from how I am in regard to them, and awe from how I am in regard to the Creator. We must think whether we are preparing ourselves for this.
From the Morning Lesson, Zohar for All, September 5, 2014

Determined to Make Unity, Connection and a Covenant in the Saint Petersburg Convention
We recommend being determined to make unity, connection, and a covenant at our convention in Saint Petersburg. Everyone who comes to a convention must be ready. Each one comes to a convention, meaning, not only physically by way of flying in a plane, coming in a wagon or walking; rather, I am talking about those who participate from all over the world. This is called coming. So come to connect. This is called coming to the convention, and then we must do something, some event, not great, but some event where we truly symbolize this thing. Also, we will be like a symbol of unity, and especially when the person leaves with a feeling that he has truly reached the first connection, the first click, familiarity, awareness, understanding, the first feeling of the one Kli, us. This is what I think, that it is necessary to be in the beginning of our grouping there.
From the Morning Lesson, “Preparation for the Convention”, September 5, 2014

The Essence of the Convention
The essence of the convention is to reach discovery of the Creator. This is its goal, and preparation for this convention is preparation for discovering the Creator. Accordingly, we must prepare the connection between us, a Kli, and we must try to be in this all the time and not go out of this. The Kli is solely and only if it is established, for spirituality is determination. And if there is a pause, it is no longer spirituality; you have already fallen again into physicality. According to this, you can check if you are approaching spirituality, drawn towards this, or not. For if you are drawn towards this or not, if you are drawn to this, if you are found in states of giving, bestowal, and so on, as much time as possible you are like this, you can already say that you are approaching.

From the Morning Lesson, Preparation for the Convention, September 5, 2014

It is necessary to be integrated in a group and to get support from it, to be integrated with the friends with eyes shut and in this way you are gradually strengthened, for this is your first or new level, and on every new level you are found in a level where you require support like a baby.

Love Yourself (from Shabbat Page 22/8/14)

You must believe the teacher who tells you that the Creator loves you. He loves you absolutely; He always behaves most optimally, most correctly in regard to you in order to raise you. This is until you feel, God forbid, terrible suffering from this life and in your body, and in spite of it all, that this is His love, and He is suffering many times more than what you are suffering. It is like with your child. You are ready to lie on the operating table in his place if he needs an operation, God forbid. It is according to the level, according to differences in levels, that is the difference in the feeling.

From the Morning Lesson, The Writings of Baal HaSulam, Letter 2, August 19, 2014

Nothing More Than The Others (from Shabbat Page 22/8/14)

When will you begin to accept the Light that Reforms? The Light that Reforms can come only through your efforts to connect with the friends. The means for connecting to the friends must be mechanical, simple, like those things that you are ready to do. If you don’t do this, this is something else, but you are ready. This is what they gave you; they brought you to the group and said to you, “Take this,” so take it. According to these efforts, you will begin to feel how much you are included among them, that in everyone there is some kind of beginning of love of friends. When each one is impressed by the others, then he will receive tenfold. There is an article like this among the new articles, the first by Rabash, that it depends on whether you put zero or one in front of you. It depends on how a person bows his head towards the society, but in truth, it is not “as if.” It is when he tries to understand and feel that he truly has nothing more than others, that he wants the Light to illuminate this; for in truth, the society is the Shechina (divinity). If you don’t feel this, but you feel that you are higher, then you are sitting on your ego like on a sack, and I don’t want to say what is inside this sack. You are sitting proudly on this, and it is a bit smelly.

From the Morning Lesson, The Writings of Rabash, “Love of Friends”, August 18, 2014

The Power of Faith (from Shabbat Page 22/8/14)

All of reality has been designed so that you don’t forget that “There is none else besides Him,” that He is “the Good and Beneficent,” and you must relate above this reality. Together with this, I am alive and doing everything in this life in all its forms, in personal life, in social life, in all that happens. Together with this, I am found in a perception that, “Thou Hast Hemmed Me In Behind and Before,” that “There is none else besides Him.” All of this is shaped by the Creator in the perception of reality that we learn; all of this is only within us, only within us. And through this form, this reality, I want to connect to the source. If I know how to connect to the source, all that I am feeling now must be “good and beneficent,” from “There is none else besides Him.”  Imagine to yourself with these terrors, with the missiles, with all that there is, that this is an imaginary form that is being shown to you within your Kelim, and together with what you feel, you must hold yourself in “the good and beneficent” and “There is none else besides Him.” All of this that is happening, is happening within my Kelim, and I rise above them. I rise above them; I don’t nullify them, I rise above them. We must try to hold onto this, and then wait for the Light that Reforms which depends upon your efforts. You will make an effort to hold yourself correctly, and then, as a result of this, you will feel a change in perception, how you are really found up in the air. You will feel the power of faith that comes to you. Certainly here, you will feel how much you depend upon one another, need one another. It is impossible to hold onto this alone; it is only if there is an environment, an atmosphere like this.

From the Morning Lesson, The Writings of Baal HaSulam, Letter 18, August 15, 2014

The Effort (from Shabbat Page 22/8/14

You are not stimulated by the world as it is; rather you control what happens, interpreting all that happens correctly, attributing everything to “There is none else besides Him,” “The Good and Beneficent,” but, but (!) you are working on this; you don’t forget. It is as he tells you, “Before you go to the market, and after you return from the market.” This means that you don’t forget about the “good and beneficent.” You know that all of the work depends on you, on your efforts. This means that when you are working, you cannot say, “But everything is from the Creator and this is also from the Creator.” This means that essentially, what you are saying is that this is not from the Creator, it is about your effort. This is the difficulty that he wants to explain in the letter there. Before a person goes to work, he must remove himself from everything that comes. After he returns, he says, “Even if I had stayed at home, I would have earned the same amount.” That’s it. That is the effort. That is the whole idea here. Usually we give up the effort. We say, “Ahah, The Creator will straighten it all out,” and then we fall into this world, and then we begin to pay attention to what is happening here and depend on Obama, on Hamas, on everything. Even in dissemination, you must see that everything that is arranged, the Creator arranged it for you. You will bring some power of faith to every place where you are found in contact with Him.

From the Morning Lesson, The Writings of Baal HaSulam, Letter 18, August 15, 2014

Adherence with his Rav (From Shabbat Page 22/8/14)

Adherence with a Rav means being adherent to the advice that he gives. For who is this Rav?  This is someone who has gone through some kind of way before you. This is someone who also received Torah from someone who was before him, and this is designed to transmit this Torah to others according to how it seems to the eye. So he transmits it to you. And when he transmits to you, you must take account, will you accept this Torah or not? If you accept it, he is called a “Rav.” If not, he is just called a teacher. Let’s say that in science there is a concept that the more that a student learns from the teacher, he must always criticize him, for maybe the teacher didn’t discover everything, for the science before us is something that we didn’t know. We investigate it with the mind, with emotion, within the instruments, and they could be new instruments, a new intelligence, or a new emotion. So from generation to generation, we see that the students rise above their teacher, and that is how they advance. That is how it is with every science: with everything, with every area in culture, in education, in all the sciences, the natural sciences, and so on. For criticism is constructive there, and the external teacher arouses criticism of himself; is he right or isn’t he? He must do this if he wants to raise students, every one of whom will be even greater than he. Even with us the spiritual teacher wants the students to be greater than he; otherwise he is not a teacher. It is like every person wants his children to grow further, to be even more successful than him. He is proud to say that his son has become great, even though he is himself a simple person. That is how it is, as it is written, “No person is envious of his child or his students.”

Exerpts From Shabbat Page 8/8/14

Leaping to the Next Level
There is work until the Light that Reforms comes and raises us to the next level. This is always a very painful way, a way of intense tension, and it is impossible to remain in this state anymore, so you are like a cherry pit leaping to the next level through internal pressure. This is painful, this is like birth. These are very great pressures that we don’t remember, but without this, the person is not born. Also the doctors say that if there are no pressures, this is not a correct birth, the fetus and the growing child will lack the forces that protect and stabilize him. So it is necessary that there will be labor pains. We need them and it is not important to beautify them or sweeten them, rather to push to the end. This is called that the person goes without calculation above reason. And here a door opens for him to the next world. Like a fetus within the womb who knows what is happening, pressures seem that we are not prepared to understand, and there is no possibility of going out from anywhere, he doesn’t know at all that there is an opening, he doesn’t know anything, he’s like in a dungeon or in strangulation, so get ready. So in truth, we shouldn’t fear the pressures of birth, those inside or those outside that we have, this is the force that forms and the force that delays. As we learn, this is from our friends who curse us and also inside us where we are not ready and don’t want it. Together all these pressures prepare us to be not a fetus now but a newborn. I hope very much that this will not be in an individual form as I understand it, but in a general form, and then we truly open the door for all of humanity, that they merit this. To life.
From the Preparatory Meal in the New Jersey Convention, Augus

Think About the Friends
It is up to us to think about the friends who want so much to reach spirituality, to be in bestowal, and in love of others and by our negligence, mine, by not giving, by not helping, and by not adding the last grain to that plate that tips everyone towards merit instead of obligation. I must think about the Kabbalists who wrote, took the pains, and built for us the whole way, directing us all to our world, to states, to our times, specifically to us, and how much we are the result of all the activities of thousands of years. Now we can realize the way that they prepared for us with their blood. It is up to us only to relate to this a little more seriously and responsibly. So it is up to us to think about our friends and about ourselves, and after everything to think about the Creator. While it is difficult for us to describe exactly what this is, what kind of force this is, what exactly it is called giving contentment to Him, the main thing is to ask that we have some kind of impression of this. Then, this will bring us to a very deep excitement, both emotional and responsible. For we reach a convention to truly do our inner transformation that we, from now on, are doing in preparation for the convention. And in each and every moment we are found and demand that a connection be built between us, a network of connection like this will reveal the characteristic of bestowal and mutual love in which we feel ourselves existing already in the upper world. This is standing before us, this is ready for us, prepared for us and depends only on our desire, that this will happen and will be revealed, and then the whole world rises together with us to the Olam Ein Sof. We are hoping to reach this, we are yearning for this, and we are preparing ourselves in these days for this. Amen.
Toronto Convention, Lesson Number 2, August

Fight For The Connection Between You 24 Hours Per Day
It is up to you to be integrated so there will be no difference between you. Describe the time of distress as it truly is and even more, try according to this to connect, if not according to the spiritual idea, the concern for the other, for others, and for the Creator, then at least according to the fear. Even in an army they are connected together for an attack. You don’t feel yourselves like an army? You need to fight for the connection between you 24 hours per day.
From a Conversation from Mexico, August 3

True Prayer
All of our work is to attain the empty Kli, a Kli that was once destroyed. All of us are from Ein Sof and we fell from there, we descended to this inferior, lowest place called our situation here, this world. And together with this, the person begins to feel that yes, this is called Kedusha, this is called bestowal, this is called yearning for the other, for connection, to be integrated with the other, to bestow to the other, “Make his desire my desire.” But I don’t want this
already what this is. What is called bestowal  is that I feel that something like this exists, but I don’t want it. This means that the Kli is truly broken. I don’t want this but understand that he doesn’t want it either and this is called feeling the exile. That I am not found with the characteristic of bestowal, I don’t want to bestow, I don’t want to connect, not with the other and not with the Creator, and I am the opposite, a “ruin.” The next stage is that I continue to work on this in spite of it all. I continue with the inclination for connection, even though I don’t have it, and with the understanding of what the characteristic of bestowal is even though I don’t have it, and so on. And together with this, that I do this, I begin to feel that I don’t want this, and feel sorry that I don’t want it. I don’t want to bestow, and I can declare, “Yes, I don’t want to bestow,” and after that, I begin the work again through the Light that Reforms which continues to influence me, I begin to be sorry that I don’t want to bestow. Here this a matter of envy, craving, respect that I see in my friends, that maybe they do want to bestow. It seems to me that they are already bestowing, and so on. All of this in the meantime can be because of the desire to receive in me. But here I begin to already feel the exile, I am found outside of Kedusha. Also, from the aspect that I don’t have the characteristic of bestowal, also that I am sorry that I don’t want it, and after that, that I do want it. So I begin to examine what it is called “that I want it.” I want it means that I want to be in bestowal, so I am concerned about fulfilling the others. What do the others want? Others want to bestow, my friends. So I must do all of the activities to bring them to a state where they will try, they will want it, they will be able to bestow, and then I pray. About what? About them having what they want, that they will want to reach bestowal, that they will want to bestow, that they will be able to bestow, that they will have everything. And for me? For me it is enough only to pray for them, and be satisfied with this, as if this is the true characteristic of bestowal. It could be that for myself, I don’t want anything, and I pray only for the others, that they will have the ability to bestow, for this is the highest and most lofty thing of all. This is already called a true prayer. It is correct that a person can activate it and the Creator hears this prayer. He also hears first all the prayers, our deficiencies, always what we feel, and even what we don’t know what we feel is always found before the Creator. But for this prayer really, I already feel and recognize that I am found in the power of bestowal, within the Light, within the Creator, and I awaken Him to influence others. This means that I am already included with the Upper Light in that characteristic of bestowal according to my group. My group transforms to be that Kli to which I bestow. So I suddenly discover that I am connected to the Creator on one hand, with a request to Him to bestow to them. And for myself, I don’t demand anything except that the Creator will realize this deficiency to fill them. With what? With their ability to bestow. So I withdraw completely, completely clean my desire to receive, and I make myself like a conduit. This is how we reach the characteristic of bestowal.
