If You Want To Be Good – Prove It!

In order to receive the Light that reforms, the force that will make us similar to the upper force, the Creator, and that will return us to the source of goodness and abundance so we would become just as good, bestowing, and loving, we have to place ourselves in the right conditions.
How can I prove to myself and prepare myself to make the right request from the upper Light so it would influence me? Only through the environment. I don’t have any opportunity in our world to prove that I want to become bestowing and good unless I organize the right connection with the environment to the best of my ability.
That is why before and during the lesson, especially while reading The Book of Zohar, every one of us must constantly feel that he has an unceasing connection with others, that he is in a net of connection where he loses himself and only feels everyone together. He must try to feel with all his might that he does not have his own “I,” but there is only “WE.” This is called the assembly of the souls of Israel (Knesset Israel)—the unification of all those who aspire to reveal the Creator.
If they unite together in order to reveal Him, that means the broken souls desire to unite together and ascend through their request for unification to Malchut of the world of Atzilut. Malchut of the world of Atzilut takes these desires, which aspire to unite and make mutual efforts to unite, and raises this request to Zeir Anpin. He, in turn, works on this request, corrects them, and then all who participate in it acquire the force of mutual bestowal and begin to feel closer, more connected together. Thus, gradually, step by step, very slowly they reveal the net of connection between them. When this net attains its first realization, we begin to feel that we are on the first degree of the spiritual ladder.
Therefore, while reading The Book of Zohar we must constantly aspire only toward unity among us so inside of it we would reveal the form of our connection called “the Creator.” After all, the Creator is the form of connection among us.

Unifying The Two Forces Of Nature Within

There are only two forces in the world: the force of bestowal and that of reception. By interacting with one another, they must come to equilibrium, adhesion, and oneness.

The will to receive starts forming inside the desire to bestow, the Light. The Light constantly influences the desire to receive by developing it, while the latter responds to the Light. Thereby, they begin to interact. As a result, the desire to receive pleasure evolves to an ability to act on its own, to experience, think, and react to the desire to bestow.

Thus, these two desires gradually decrease, descending lower and lower. In the end, this allows us to analyze very fine details that combined, allow us to construct the complete system. It is as if from a global analysis we move on to a very fine research (as if we are using tweezers), which enables us to get information unavailable in a general approach. And the latter provides what is missing in the particulars.

As a result, we need to come to a state when the general and the particular will be fully analyzed and completely corrected. This is why there was the descent of the spiritual worlds up to this world, followed by development in this world. In the process of its development, our world undergoes the same four stages and arrives at the creation of the desire to bestow: from below upward, in order to return to the world of Infinity.

Kabbalists take great care to explain this process to us. First of all, they are scientists, and this is the physics of the two forces acting in creation, which explains how these forces come down to us in order for us to connect and start working with them. After all, they become realized only in our desires, intentions, and discernments.

In nature, these two forces are balanced. But we are supposed to get in between them and assemble ourselves, completely incorporating both of them within. As nature, the Creator, consists of both of these forces, His own force of bestowal and the force of reception through which He influences us, so must we construct ourselves from these two forces. That is what the entire program of creation and evolution entails.

Joy Is A Sign Of Bestowal

Yesterday while watching our TV channel I saw a broadcast of the cultural program that was held at the big Convention in Israel last fall. It included performances by different groups and special dances of different nations from all parts of the world where people came from to attend the Convention. There was a huge audience and a very special atmosphere, making it impossible to take your eyes away from the TV screen. I had to watch it until the very end.
I didn’t see any disappointed or dejected faces there because every person was influenced by the common inspiration and the entire hall was filled with joy, hope, excitement, and inspiration. And it wasn’t even because any special spiritual revelation was taking place there, but simply because the mood of the society influenced every person in this way. Every person that was part of it felt happy and joyful at that moment.
That is the power of social influence and it is the only thing we lack in order to advance at every moment in time. On the path we cannot demand any revelation other than the revelation of bestowal, meaning the correction that enables me only to bestow, to connect to others and not to demand anything else, like Bina which does not desire anything for herself (Hafetz Hesed).
The Creator demands for us to become the same as Him: To bestow for the sake of bestowal, and then to receive for the sake of bestowal. That is why our advancement always happens “above knowledge,” meaning we cannot ask for any other quality or fulfillment to manifest in our sensations besides the quality of bestowal. Moreover, I don’t even care whether I will be given the opportunity to bestow. I don’t expect anything in response form the Creator besides the very aspiration for bestowal which will always develop in me, more and more.
The world does not understand this attitude yet and we, too, are only gradually coming closer to being able to hear and understand what is the essence here. But there is no other way to go. All of humanity has already entered this process of correction and we have to understand that there’s no way back. We cannot stop history. The whole world is undergoing very swift development in the direction of this new quality – the quality of bestowal that will begin to rule the world.
That is why Kabbalists say that we don’t have any other means besides organizing an environment that will support us on the path to the goal and will give us strength, inspiration, and joy. We cannot receive all of this from the Creator and especially not from ourselves, but only from the society.
That is why our dissemination should emphasize inspiring events such as, for example, the cultural programs at the Conventions. This means “joining the good,” which is our motto of choice. The more programs like this we will have, which convey joy, unite, and might that has been acquired, the greater is the life force that this will give to every person.

Think With Our Heart

We are at a beautiful moment on this planet where a new world is being birthed based on integrity, dignity, harmony, peace and love. The most obvious sign that this is well underway is that everything is changing and nothing seems to make sense. In fact, in many ways it appears to be the total opposite of an emerging new world. We are witnessing lies, deceit, greed, extreme wealth and poverty, ... sickness, destruction, disease, dis-honor, addictions, abuse, and environmental chaos, along with countless other named and unnamed calamities and certainly little evidence of peace or love. Yet appearances can be deceiving in themselves and what we see and perceive is only a tiny fragment of the bigger picture.

What I have noticed lately is that so many people I speak with are hopeful of a better world and at the same time they are troubled by the one they appear to be presently experiencing. They know in their hearts that life is not meant to be a struggle filled with much fear and doubt, yet they find it difficult at times to reconcile the seeming chaos and atrocities that are bombarding them from every seeming angle internally and externally.

What is we stepped back and set aside our endless judgement for a moment and looked at the bigger picture?

What if we stepped into the realm of our heart and began to listen to it's wisdom?

When we stop and truly and genuinely look around what do we see and what are we really experiencing?

What is our mental and emotional filter of life and how is it effecting our current perspective? Do we perceive our reality as an observer or are we still allowing ourselves to be caught up in the drama like a character actor in a play?

If it is the latter, do we know how to shift our perspective to see a larger view and a greater whole? Is there a way that we can realize the real peace and love that already exists within? Is unconditional love a key that unlocks this potential?

Our mind has been our thinker for too long and now it is time to move our energy into the heart and begin to thing from this vantage point. By expressing from the heart, we can do something different in our own lives to shift our experience and in turn, the reality around us. Coming from unconditional love, we move directly out of duality and polarity of right and wrong, good and bad, ... and begin to share that which we already are... powerful, wise, loving and lovable beings of immense talent, creativity, compassion and strength. Not to mention, individuals filled with integrity, dignity, harmony, peace and love.

Shifting from one reality to another always includes a phase where old gives way to the new and this often takes on the momentary appearance of chaos, strife, the need to let go of the known and a courageous willingness to allow the new to manifest. Underlying this or any transition is the loving intelligence that guides us between worlds and emanates from out own heart.

No matter what the appearance, the heart knows the bigger picture and from this grander perspective we can make a profound difference.

Make a choice today to suspend judgment and relax into what simply is.

Let go of what you mentally think is going on and center your awareness in the heart. Be present in the now and experience only the moment that is real and tangible. BREATHE. ALLOW. Be at peace and you will know peace.

Share your unconditional love and the world will know love.

Question: Can Kabbalah conventions help shift the world to the path of the Light, the path of accelerating time (Ahishena)?
Answer: There is no doubt that by making actions such as attending Kabbalistic conventions we do cause corrections in the world. All attempts to connect with the goal and attain equivalence with the Creator or Upper Force, to reach bestowal and love for the neighbor, do correct us and the whole world together with us.
Therefore, we invite everyone to take part in the European convention in Berlin or the Learning Center retreat in California at the end of January, as well as the big gathering in the Arava that will take place this weekend! In particular, people who are in Europe should feel that the situation is becoming more and more serious from one day to the next. That is why we have to unite and pull the “One who is Good and does Good” closer into this world! As long as we are just learning, we are allowed to do so even egoistically….

A Cry In The Desert | Laitman.com

If the quality of love and bestowal doesn’t stand behind all of these things, the person is lost in the desert. 

Question: What does raising MAN mean?
Answer: MAN is a plea to become like the Creator. It occurs when a person feels helpless, as though he’s in a middle of a desert. He is stripped of all things, he’s withered, and others can’t help him. He understands that he has no chance of reaching love and bestowal. He feels weak and “surrounded by lions,” desires that are “devouring” him. His life is in danger and he is unable to get out of this state and enter bestowal.
The whole world is at a person’s feet except for bestowal and love for his friend or the Creator. It doesn’t matter what pleasures the ego fills itself with; if the quality of love and bestowal doesn’t stand behind all of these things, the person is lost in the desert. In this desert, this empty ego, a person’s spiritual desire becomes so powerful that it makes him cry out, and this cry reaches the goal.

On the spiritual path, souls desiring to unite must perpetually work on building a connection between them. In that case they constantly influence Malchut of the World of Atzilut (the bride) and it awakens a connection in Zeir Anpin on the level of faith rather than reception of pleasure.

Then the covenant exists because we sign a pact that we hold on to each other only because of the spiritual goal’s importance regardless of who’s paying and how much. For example, if your girlfriend is beautiful, then when you receive pleasure from her, it’s as if you sold yourself to her. If you live with a woman because she’s beautiful, then you’re a “sell out” because you receive pleasure from her beauty, which is like her payment to you.

That’s why we sign a covenant saying that we advance by faith above reason or that bestowal is more important than reception for us. That’s why we constantly look for ways to strengthen our connection through mutual bestowal.

To the degree I join the connection through mutual bestowal, I start to notice how much uglier my “bride” is (meaning the group and the spiritual world), and that my partner (the Creator) is a liar. So who did I sign a covenant with, to whom did I obligate myself!? Yet, that’s when you have the opportunity to go by faith above reason, to prefer bestowal above the calculation of reception.

Cutting Off The Past In Order To Enter The Future | Laitman.com

Question: What is the meaning of mutual spiritual work between spouses?

Answer: A spiritual connection is when a woman is like “half of a man’s body.” A man without a wife is an incomplete part of the desire. This part of the “animate” existence (as it seems to us) and the entire mutual life in a family, which seems unconnected to spirituality, are in fact very important.

It’s not time for it yet, but we will reach the state where men and women will feel a need to find out what the meaning of our lives is and what we are living for? This problem can only be solved on the condition that we are similar to nature, the Creator, and thus are obligated to unite into a couple, a family. That will be our mutual spiritual work. We will feel that we are unable to maintain a family without a spiritual connection, and we are unable to attain spirituality without creating a family!

That is why families are now in crisis or a “breaking.” It’s like the Tzimtzum (restriction). All of our previous lives, ways of thinking, approach to the family, and our entire paradigm of the past are over! They have reached “the breaking.” Our old philosophy and attitude to life, family, and society no longer work. All of this has reached the end, and that is why we are experiencing a crisis today. We are cutting off our entire previous attitude to life and are entering new interrelations.

From here on, a person will once again need a family, children, work, and society, but precisely in order to attainbestowal and revelation of the Creator instead of using them egoistically and trying to obtain a small, comfortable home in order to lead a good material life. That is why we are going through a drastic transition and will have to cut ourselves off from our entire previous life and attitude.
