How Does The Need To Know The Meaning Of Life Arise?

232.01Question: At the moment, there is no consensus among scientists on the concept of “life.” There are only some criteria that it meets. First, life is always a well-ordered organization, a highly organized structure. Second, metabolism or the presence of energy maintains this order. Third, growth, the ability to develop, to go from state to state, to adapt and to react to some external impacts is present. Fourth is reproduction and the presence of some permanent information component. And another criterion says that the period from birth to death can be called life.

But all these criteria, which determine life as such, must have some purpose. However, a person does not feel the purpose of life. How does one get to it?

Answer: The question is whether one needs this purpose. After all, in those parameters that you listed, there is no need for any higher purpose. From “A” to “Z,” they are within the boundaries of our material life, what we focus on, what guides us, what we strive for. These are the usual egoistic problems that we face, which we try to solve in order to feel as comfortable as possible at every moment of our animal existence. This is the meaning of life of the human physical body.

Question: Why is the need to know the meaning of life hidden from a person?

Answer: Because it is not given to us explicitly. The manifestation of such a question in a person depends on the lack of a sense of the meaning of life. And he does not seek it within the framework of our world: profession, wealth, fame, knowledge, and so on. He is not interested in this, but in the higher content, which is beyond the scope of our life, outside of what he can comprehend here.

He needs something above this world. He is not interested in fame or wealth or even knowledge, nothing! He wants to get in touch with which is beyond life and death. At the same time, he is not afraid of death, he needs a connection with the upper root. After he finds out for himself that this is the stage of existence that attracts him, then, of course, there is nothing for him to do in our world.

Then he must reach connection with the upper root. There are people who look for it in religions, in science, in something else, and can’t find it.

In my eyes, only Kabbalah studies this. It gives a person such a development that he begins to feel the upper world, the meaning of his existence, even while living in this world. But to do this, he must change his nature from egoistic receiving to altruistic giving. Altruism, not in the definitions of our world, but above what we exist in today.

In principle, Kabbalah says that the whole world, all of humanity, will inevitably come to this state. But when is a matter of time.

The Energy That Feeds Us

565.01Question: A person is part of a large complex system. Naturally we need internal energy and strength to maintain systemic relations. What is the energy source that feeds us?

Answer: This is egoistic fulfillment on all levels: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human.

If we want to get to the next level, then we need to use this energy to nourish our bodies only to the extent necessary for their existence, and we fill our “I” with the quality of bestowal and love for others. Then, we will begin to receive a new kind of fulfillment, filling with bestowal. This will be a completely different feeling of awareness of existence.

Question: So, in fact, a person can simultaneously receive two types of energy?

Answer: Yes. I get an animal filling for my body and absolutely consciously because my condition dictates this to me. The highest fulfillment is where I work in a completely different way, in the quality of bestowal and love for others.

Question: Why does a person sometimes lack energy?

Answer: He does not see its source and does not know why to receive it and how to use it correctly. Therefore, the states of powerlessness, aimlessness, detachment, and nihilism are good states that lead him to a correct re-evaluation of one’s values both within oneself and in the world, and then lead a person to the next stage.

Comment: From the point of view of the systems approach, our lack of energy is not very good for the system because a person begins to become imbalanced within it.

My Response: This pushes him forward in his search. In this search, he finds himself in new states. If he did not have that need, he would never have developed. As they say, “Love and hunger rule the world.”

Question: How can one be happy and fulfilled in any given situation?

Answer: This depends on the goal. If it approaches you even with a sense of some unpleasant qualities, feelings, and actions, this does not matter. The main thing is that, in the end, you get something more. It all depends on the value of what you are aiming for.

Does The Concept Of “Life” Change Over Time?

962.7Question: Recently, when, on one hand, the world is being hit by a pandemic and other crises and, on the other hand, there are very strong developments in technology and science, does this mean that the very concept of “life” is changing?

Answer: It is changing. Ordinary people living in this world are beginning to feel more and more that this world does not have any meaning, that none of our efforts will lead us to something special, that is, to eternal fulfillment, and, therefore, that there is really no need to live.

This is awakening, especially in the new generation. The next generations are coming who will fully feel the hopelessness and aimlessness of our existence. This will lead the masses to the question of the meaning of life. We must prepare this transition for them.

A Step Toward Discovering The Meaning Of Life

202.0Question: If a person understands that he exists without meaning in life, but he does not yet have the need to achieve it, how can he take a step and want to find this meaning, literally control his fate? How does one move from one state to another?

Answer: This is only possible only through the right environment. There’s no other way.

In the science of Kabbalah, it is explained that if a person belongs to a special group of people who are interested in comprehending the meaning of life, rising to its highest level, above this world, in the control system of our life, then he can reveal it and becomes, even during his lifetime in our world, one who comprehends the upper world.

Everyone Has Their Own Happiness

535.01Question: The famous psychologist Viktor Frankl wrote “Life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by lack of meaning and purpose.” Some research today says that a person becomes happy not from having meaning, but depending on how easy, pleasant, and free from problems life is.

What is happiness?

Answer: Happiness depends on what level a person is at. In principle, happiness is when all your desires are not satisfied, they are waiting for fulfillment, and everything is in anticipation, like a child who has a birthday soon.

When you feel as on your birthday, something will be given to you, it will be something good, i.e., you anticipate a reward from life, that is happiness. Everyone has their own.

What Is My Calling?

962.2Question: According to research, there are four main forces that enable a person to determine what they are talented for.

First: a positive state. A person experiences strong positive emotions from an action performed with his inner talent. Second: feedback from the environment, external recognition. That is, if a person does something well, then the environment reacts to it and shows him that he will succeed in it. Third: the will of another person or a teacher who is able to evaluate a person and say that he will be talented at this. Fourth: analysis of the results. A person himself, or with the help of others, analyzes his actions and determines that he is more successful in a certain area.

How do I know what my calling is?

Answer: What you are drawn to the most. There is no need for all those clever definitions listed above. Pay attention to what you want and not what you are forced to do.

As a child, my parents wanted very much to make a musician out of me and forced me to study music. I did everything but that. In the end, nothing came out of it. I grew up a normal person, I think not worse than others.

That is why, there is no need to chase after anything, you just simply have to understand what you have inclinations for, what you can do so that life will give you pleasure and you will give pleasure to others.

Question: Do you think that in this way one can come to understand one’s purpose?

Answer: Yes. When you think about how you can be useful to others, but eventually do what you like, then from these two combinations, you can find yourself.

Question: And how to sort out the huge number of influences from others?

Answer: Do not listen to anyone! No one knows you and no one can give you any advice. Think about what you would like to do, what is closer to you, and how you can give pleasure to others with your profession or craft. And you will be happy.

How To Get Rid Of Chronic Fatigue?

559Question: In recent decades, many have developed chronic fatigue syndrome even after long rest and sleep. The causes of the disease are still unknown, and accordingly, there is no effective treatment. A number of researchers believe that viruses are the triggers of this disease.

Chronic fatigue syndrome causes enormous damage to people and the economy. In Britain alone, it affects 250,000 people and costs the economy billions of pounds.

People are literally bedridden in their place of residence in bed, and do not know what to do about it. Where do they get the strength to live?

Answer: This problem arises on purpose, so that we find the real meaning of life and not waste it on trifles.

Therefore, we feel that we have no reason to live without a purpose. Everyone can have their own, but we must find it. Our evolution is to develop egoism in us, which requires fulfillment. And there is no filling, we must look for it ourselves. Therefore, it turns out that on one hand, we are so selfish, and on the other hand, so empty. Thus the problem appears.

Along with the growth of egoism, we need to constantly look for something to fill it with, and something creative, really respected. Therefore, we should not feed people with sedatives. Apathy, detachment, and all kinds of problems today are very common in the world precisely because of the growth of egoism, and we, people, cannot give it the right saturation.

Selfishness requires only one thing from us: Give me the meaning of life! Otherwise, why should I live? This is the problem. We must find the meaning of life and offer it to everyone. Let everyone find it, not in the little things that make us forget our troubles but do not fill us.

I think that humanity will find the meaning of life. I personally found it. But I cannot offer this to everyone. Whoever wishes, I invite you.

The Meaning Of Life Is Here And Now

222Question: Many different schools of self-improvement offer such concepts as living consciously, living in the present moment. They promise that this state will allow you to enjoy life, feel it more, and manage it. How does one live exactly here and now?

Answer: Begin to comprehend the meaning of life here and now. Nothing else is needed! I want to comprehend the meaning of my existence, the connection with an upper force that controls me.

And we are governed by nature; it is the highest power. Let’s comprehend what it requires of us at every moment of time, how we can be with it in mutual connection, in such communication so that I understand how nature affects me and how I should react to it correctly.

Then my life will be full of meaning. In nature I will find a partner and begin to feel my interaction with the outside world here and now.

Question: Does this aspiration somehow neutralize thoughts about the future?

Answer: I want this future to be embodied now, on the spot, here. This is my future.

A Real Man Of Our Time

294.2Question: Who is a real man? Some psychologists claim that a real man is a man who has realized himself, who has a cause with a capital “C”, a family, a woman, he is responsible for somebody. There are ten indications of a real man to point out. First: He relies only on himself.

Answer: This is an unfortunate man. How can he count on himself? Only if he trudges along the prairie with his cattle and that is it. Today, how can he rely on himself? Who is he to rely only on himself? He must count on a huge number of people who can help him, support him, and so on. This is a real man—the one surrounded by a lot of friends.

Remark: The next indication: He is self-sufficient.

My Comment: What does it mean he is self-sufficient? “I need nothing. What I have is what I need. I am smart enough, successful enough, confident enough.” Well, what is it? You can tell such a thing only to a child who will be inspired in this way.

Remark: Sometimes you really want to be confident in yourself.

My Comment: You should not be. This is where all growth ends.

Remark: The next indication: He is independent.

My Comment: This also cannot be. How can a person does not depend on anything? He depends on nature, on people surrounding him; he depends on everyone! In our time, independence does not exist for a person, for society, for a state, or in general for the entire planet.

Question: Does he depend on everyone and on everything around him?

Answer: Of course. The more he grows, the more dependent he is on everyone.

Remark: He does not ask for help.

My Comment: So, what? Does he rely on himself?

Remark: From all of the above, he relies on himself, and he does not ask for help. He is like that: “I will not ask for help. I will do it myself.”

My Comment: He is dumb. He does not even understand with his brains that he really depends on everyone and everything.

Question: Do you think a real man is the one who can ask for help, who can have such a weakness?

Answer: Who understands that he is weak.

Question: This radically changes everything. Does he realize that he is weak and asks for help?

Answer: Yes.

Remark: Another indication: He does not compromise.

My Comment: Then he will be killed or he will be a killer. It is impossible not to compromise. It is through compromises that we come to the right conclusions. Right decisions are somewhere in the middle.

We cannot live without compromises! No one can! Especially business people, politicians, etc. A person should understand that nature consists of plus and minus. Everything lives on compromise.

Remark: The next indication: He does not compare. For example, he does not compare himself to others.

My Comment: But how will he grow if he does not envy, if he does not compare? I have to compare and be envious, I have to see that this is not in my favor, and that will spur me on to growth.

Question: Do you mean to envy not in order to lower another person but to rise above him?

Answer: It depends on the previous points.

Question: Yes. Are comparisons necessary?

Answer: Yes.

Remark: The next one: He accepts himself as he is.

My Comment: Only a mother can accept a baby as it is. Nobody will accept me as I am. I will be humiliated, pushed away all the time, and so on. I, too, must see myself as I am, what I should be, and try to grow in this way all the time.

Question: Is it not that I do not accept myself as I am, but that I must grow all the time. So, if I am who I am, do I stop?

Answer: Of course. Everything develops dialectically.

Remark: Next point: He avoided the midlife crisis or survived it with the least loss.

My Comment: I do not know what the midlife age has to do with it. I do not feel it and have never felt it.

Remark: It is because you found the purpose of life when you were thirty three years old.

My Comment: In my opinion, it continues with me. What does a midlife crisis mean? What should be in this crisis? That I think about what has passed and what else will be, where I am, and what I should do with my life?

Remark: I think that the search for the meaning of life also suits here. It says: “survived it with the least loss.”

My Comment: Agree with what I have and sail on.

Remark: It looks like it.

My Comment:: No, that is not me.

Question: Does this crisis need to exist all the time?

Answer: Yes. A midlife crisis, if we call it this way, is a necessary account of what has been done and what has not yet been done, and that there is still a lot of work ahead. I have to believe that when I do all this, then I will reach middle age.

Question: Is the fact that I, for example, have found a place in life and calmed down, awful, in your opinion?

Answer: This is death.

In general, we have not coped with these ten commandments.

Remark: Yes, we have failed. We do not agree, we have it all in the opposite way: complete dependence, constant insecurity, an endless road; you never stop, you never rest.

My Comment: Open your eyes and see. Without any literary tricks. You will see that it is all opposite to what is written.

“Can Helping Others Help You Find The Meaning In Life?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: “Can helping others help you find the meaning in life?

We need to be well connected in order to find the meaning of life, because life’s meaning can truly be found above our current life.

Therefore, we can attain the meaning of life by exiting ourselves, which is possible by connecting to others—wishing for their benefit above our own personal benefit.

Our self-serving desires block the sensation of life’s meaning. They seek self-fulfillment at the expense of others and nature, and such fulfillment dissolves upon our reception of it.

By exiting ourselves and connecting to others in a way where we end up feeling others’ desires as our own, we then start seeing a much greater life open up. It is a life outside the limits of our personal narrow desires, and inside the desires of others: desires ready to be fulfilled at every moment. In other words, we find the meaning of life by being inside others.

We need a special kind of positive connection in order to attain the meaning of life, to become awakened above our individual narrow perceptions. In other words, we discover life’s meaning in the same direction by which life comes and enters us.

“What’s The Meaning Of Life? Is Happiness The Only Purpose Of Our Lives?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: “What’s the meaning of life? Is happiness the only purpose of our lives?

Happiness is not the purpose of our lives, because any happiness we feel dies together with us. What do we ultimately gain from being happy if we eventually die and it disappears?

In relation to finding purpose in our lives through happiness or other lofty sensations in our world, such as freedom, love and success, the wisdom of Kabbalah describes the concept of Pharaoh—an egoistic and materialistic ruler who considered happiness and other worldly pleasures as life’s purpose, and thought that they would follow him to his grave. However, no happiness we achieve in this life continues afterward, and we would thus be wise to set our sights on a purpose that is everlasting and eternal.

What is an everlasting and eternal purpose to life?

It is only existent in our spirit, above our body, beyond everything we currently know and feel through our five senses. If we attain contact with such a higher sphere, we then attain the purpose of our lives. Moreover, we can do so while being alive in our current body.

The attainment of the perception and sensation of this higher sphere—”higher” meaning above what our corporeal mind and feelings can grasp—that governs us gives us a complete perception and understanding of where we come from, where we are headed, what and who we are, what created us, as well as how we were created and why.

Moreover, by attaining this higher sphere, we also discover true and everlasting happiness. However, such happiness is not life’s purpose in and of itself, but rather comes as a byproduct of attaining the purpose of our lives, which is the attainment of the eternal reality.

Mark In Life

270Remark: Most people want to leave some kind of mark of their lives, like with works of art, sports achievements, good deeds, and ending with an idea.

My Comment: They don’t feel like they live forever, and therefore they take care of it. If they felt that our world is practically a part of the eternal world, they would not think of how to leave something behind.

When a person feels that he lives forever, he has no worries about his future. Then he thinks about what exactly he can do for people.

“What Is The Purpose Of Life?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: “What is the purpose of life?

The purpose of life is to attain the highest and most exalted state that nature prepared for us: to ascend above our inborn egoistic selves and gain a clear understanding, perception and sensation of why we—and nature on all of its levels, inanimate, vegetative, animate and human—exist.

Moreover, the purpose of life cannot be forced upon or shown to anyone, similarly to how we cannot prove mathematical laws to cats. Instead, every person needs to discover the purpose of life for themselves: to elevate themselves in perception and sensation until they gain a complete vision and feeling of reality.

The ascension above our inborn egoistic nature to the discovery of nature’s wholeness is the fullest meaning of becoming a human being. In Hebrew, the word for “human” is “Adam,” which stems from the phrase, “Adameh le Elyon” (“similar to the most high”), which means that if we rise above our narrow egoistic perception and attain a whole perception of reality, we fulfill our role of becoming “human” in the fullest sense of the term.

In principle, there are two forces in nature: reception (egoism, negative) and bestowal (altruism, positive). We are born and raised solely on the force of reception, which is expressed in us as egoism: the desire to enjoy at the expense of anything or anyone outside of oneself.

Our egoism develops and grows over many generations, from a small desire to enjoy that demands nothing more than its basic survival needs—food, sex, family and shelter—to a bigger ego that requires fulfillment from myriad social connections—money, wealth, honor, respect, fame, control, power and knowledge. In our era, we have reached a uniquely significant transition point where we bear witness to our egoistic development reaching a dead end, i.e., feeling it increasingly hard to feel fulfilled from egoistic pursuits, which also gives rise to a plethora of negative attitudes in society—people taking out their dissatisfaction on each other more and more, leading to increasing polarization and hatred throughout society.

Today’s overblown egoism thus points the way to the need for us to draw an opposite, positive and altruistic force in order for us create balanced relations among each other and with nature.

Both our inborn egoism as well as the positive altruistic force stem from nature, and the purpose of life is that we apply ourselves to attract nature’s positive altruistic force above our egoistic one, in order that we live in balance and harmony with nature.

The Purpose Of Our Life

565.01Question: Does nature have any purpose?

Answer: Of course. Its purpose is to develop a person to reach its highest level when one begins to attain the meaning of the existence of nature itself. That is, one will rise above oneself and reach an understanding of what everything exists for.

Question: How can we show this to people?

Answer: There is no way. Everyone should discover this for themselves. You cannot reveal this to someone. It is not possible to prove anything to anyone. After all, if my cat is on the animalistic level, I cannot prove anything to it from the human level. This is always the case.

Only when an individual grows up and becomes a human being will they be able to understand me and what I wanted to say to them.

Question: You are saying that the purpose of life is to reach the level of nature, to become like it.

In principle, there are two forces in nature: reception and bestowal. In people, however, there is only one negative force. Therefore, we must attract the positive altruistic force of development upon ourselves and thus balance our egoism. Is this what you call “becoming like nature”?

Answer: Yes, because both forces come from nature. We must adapt them within ourselves and exist between them in the middle line, simultaneously managing the right and the left lines. This is the purpose of human life.

Is The Meaning Of Life The Same For All Mankind?

202.0Question: Throughout history, people have asked questions about the meaning of life. In the Abrahamic religions, the goal of life is the knowledge of God, obedience, and service to Him; in Buddhism, the end of suffering; in Hinduism, the achievement of supreme bliss, and according to Confucius, building a perfect society in the likeness of heaven.

It is interesting that science does not study the question of the meaning of life at all. It examines only the conditions for the emergence of life on Earth.

Should the meaning of life  be the same for all mankind or does everyone have their own?

Answer: The fact is that we are like children who are constantly developing, and gradually as they grow, their views on the world and life change. This is natural. Therefore, this is how we treat a child. What he understands at the age of five is different from what he understands at 10, 15, and 20. They are in a way completely different people. We see that as a child grows up, awareness of his existence grows in him. It’s the same in humanity.

Thus, we cannot talk about something common to all of humanity. We must tie it to the level it is at. If, for example, we take two people arbitrarily, and start comparing them, then first you need to understand why each of them thinks and believes like that and not otherwise, and only after that can you form a correct attitude toward them.

Question: So the highest goal of human life is to comprehend oneself, to cognize nature is also not finite? Surely, there are some other goals further?

Answer: In principle, if we comprehend what we exist for, this is already a transcendent threshold where we begin to study the force that created us. This is initially higher than us. We will rise to the next level of consciousness and reach a new level.

And what will happen next to those who ascend to this level, I cannot say. This is the same as, for example, a five-year-old child who does not understand the reasoning of a ten-year-old, and a ten-year-old who does not understand a twenty-year-old.

Toward The Human Level

709Question: A person must have some goal in life, otherwise it is not life. Is there a spiritual root to such a phenomenon as the search for the meaning of life?

Answer: Throughout our life, desires of the inanimate level gradually arise in us, then of the vegetative, animate, and finally, the human level. This is how we develop until we reach our personal highest level, and then we tend to old age and death. In the life of each person, this is purely individual.

The same thing happens in parallel with the life of society. Throughout all the stages of human development, we see that it has also passed the stages of inanimate, vegetative, animate levels, and is now at the level of human awareness of the meaning of life.

As a rule, we exist as animals, want to have our own burrow or den, to reproduce, to be healthy and happy until the last days of life, and to die peacefully. Such an existence, when the organism takes care only of itself, is called the animate level because a person thinks only about his belly, about himself materially.

But recently, humanity has begun to rise to another level. From the animate level, the next level begins to arise, the human level. This level has no earthly expression.

If the inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels exist in nature in their external, material expression, a person differs from an animal only in that he has his own higher, deeper meaning of life, and he develops towards understanding it. In other words, what is outside our animate level is called the human level.

Question: How many people are engaged in searching for the meaning of life today?

Answer: I think that these are very few individuals relative to all mankind, i.e., hundreds of thousands, nothing more.

How To Become The Master Of Your Own Destiny?

760.2Question: In recent decades, personal growth training has been very popular in the world. People are taught to achieve new goals, get out of their comfort zones, and literally change their lives. But it is interesting that these trainings do not work, and frustration from them is growing. People cannot change anything, despite the fact that they invest huge resources in it.

How do you really become the master of your own destiny?

Answer: To do this, you need to know what life is, who controls you, and what goal nature leads you to. And then you will be able, in accordance with this, at least understand what is happening to you. And then take an additional course of correct interaction with nature in order to achieve the goal of life.

Question: How do you achieve success in any endeavors, in any desires, in any goals?

Answer: Do not go against nature but go with it, that is, know where it is leading you to, what your personal goal is (from the side of nature), and do everything in order to realize it.

Steve Jobs—Philosophy Of Life

235Comment: If today you meet a simple man on the street and talk to him, he, in principle, does not know the names of the sages, or even, perhaps, King Solomon. But the name “Steve Jobs” is familiar to him. He is the founder of Apple, a man who has contributed a lot to our world.

There are some of his quotes that I would like you to explain from the point of view of a Kabbalist. ”I used to be way over on the nurture side, but I’ve swung way over to the nature side.”

My Response: Heredity is the starting point. Yet, in principle, everything is determined by the environment.

Question: Does it mean that the environment can change my heredity?

Answer: I do not see anything negative about heredity, even if it is bad. The environment shapes a person. It as if puts a person in a vice and processes him as it wants, like on a lathe. The result is a completely new product.

Question: Do I have no freedom here at all?

Answer: No. Not at all! There are initial qualities, but the environment knows how to work with them and makes from a person what is required.

Question: Do I look for an environment or does the environment find me?

Answer: In principle, neither you nor the environment, but this is already from above, the upper purpose.

Quotation: Steve Jobs, “Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations.”

My Response: In principle, our whole life consists only of mistakes. It is when we recognize these mistakes at every step of the way that we are going the right way.

Question: Do we always make some adjustments after each step, and still make mistakes?

Answer: Of course. We only make mistakes! However, initially, in every step we reveal our evil nature, and in every step we try to correct it.

Question: Is it due to the fact that our nature is egoism that every step we take is a mistake?

Answer: Our every step is in advance a mistake, but it depends on us how to make it a proper mistake. That is, to make mistakes in order to learn.

Quotation: Steve Jobs, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”

My Response: This is right. To find one’s own thing, own line, oneself and move only in this, and never give in to other people’s opinions, philosophies, and ideas, this is a very important task for a person. I think that this certainly is only for a few. One needs to experience a lot in order not to be receptive to other people’s ideas and follow them.

To experience means to analyze, process within yourself, decide, be afraid, get up, rise, and fall. In other words, it must be a person who always demands an inner meaning from life.

Quotation: This purportedly was Steve Jobs’ guidance in everything: “If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

My Response: Yes. That’s for sure. Only when you find it will you really understand what you were looking for. If we knew in advance what to look for, we would not have to look for it. That would be clear to me.

Question: Is a Kabbalist searching? Does a Kabbalist have such a search?

Answer: The Kabbalist is searching for only one thing—a leap to the Creator. It does not matter what will happen at that. The main thing is to be closer. And this is his only task.

Comment: When it happens, does it turn out that he understood everything in a completely different way?

My Response: Of course! It does not matter, he does not ask this question at all! He does not order the future for himself —what he wants to be and how to feel. No! Only to be closer.

Turn Life Into A Game

275Question: Our entire life is based on a game. Russian sociologist Vladimir Ilyin wrote, “The game is a different life, acting as a man-made oasis inside the chaos of real life.”
If the game is our entire life, how can a person distinguish what is real life and what is a game?
Answer: There is no need to distinguish, you need to turn life into a game. This will be good.
Question: How can you not remain a small child?
Answer: Let me be a little child. I should feel like a little kid. What does it mean that I am big? What am I so big in? Nowhere and in nothing.
On the contrary, let me feel that I am small in comparison with the entire universe, with all the huge cosmos, and there are things for me to comprehend, to receive, and to be filled with to live with my eyes and my mouth open.
Question: The first function of the game is to compensate for the unused energy in the struggle for survival. A person accumulates energy, often negative, which he must somehow throw away, realize.
How can a person realize this negative energy today, so that it does not lead to fatal outcomes? How can a person use the negative energy that accumulates in him or her for constructive causes?
Answer: You must show a person the meaning, that this meaning is directly connected to him, and what can be the reward for realizing this meaning.
Question: The game ensures the preservation of the qualities given by nature, but are not required in the real life of an individual. How can a person reveal and recognize the hidden qualities, the hidden opportunities, that nature has implanted in him?
Answer: Only in a group. In a particular group of people when all of them are engaged in discovering their internal, unused, potential opportunities in order to rise above themselves. Above themselves is only in the society.
Thus, we need to gather together into a group where everyone wants to rise above themselves to reach such a connection between them when they will rise together into something common. Let us say ten people come together and become one. This “one” will consist of all of them, but together they will feel that this qualitative change in themselves that everyone became ten times smarter, ten times stronger, ten times more perspicacious, and so on.
Question: In an imperfect world with a hectic life, the game creates temporary, limited perfection. This is always some kind of a short cycle. Can the game be turned into an infinite game so that it does not end?
Answer: Yes, this is what a game is. A real game is one that can be turned into an endless game, an endless activity. However, only if there are many of us.
You cannot play the game alone. When there are many of us, we create completely different combinations through the game, as in a kaleidoscope. Have you ever looked through a kaleidoscope? When you turn it the pieces of broken glass inside it move into some kind of structure. So, do we.
When we make a kaleidoscope out of ourselves in this way, we get such pictures! We begin to discover ourselves as joint, compatible in such a form that in the end we receive one single whole, we become Adam (Man), that is, a combined element.
Question: What is a real game that is a win-win for everyone?
Answer: This is when a person reveals the true universe and begins playing it for real. In earnest!
Question: What does it mean to play in earnest?
Answer: It is when one plays above life and death, not for life and not for death, but above them for connection with others and builds perfection together with them. Only perfection can fill a person with meaning.
