Seize The Creator, Embrace, And Never Let Go

Question: We always try to understand that everything comes from Above, and this begs the question: To what extent do you need to accept the conditions that are given to you, and to what extent do you need to try to rise above them and adhere to the group regardless of the circumstances? In other words, when do you need to accept the conditions that you have, and when do you rise above them in connection to the group?
Answer: First and foremost, one should cling to the Source of all of these conditions. As for whether any effort needs to be exerted in this or not, it depends on the circumstances. What difference does it make? The important thing is to constantly be glued to the Source.
I might like it or I might not, this varies, although it is not important. I grab Him and shout, “You are mine!” and that is it. And then you need to separate from yourself whatever your egoism is feeling at the time, whatever I feel by addressing Him, that is, to go in faith above reason. But the most important thing is to seize Him and not let go.
Often, we are given circumstances where even if we do not wish to, we are still required to accept them with our minds. How do we act in such cases?
If my friends or certain life circumstances are telling me that everything that is happening to me right now comes from the Creator, then however unpleasant this may be for me, since I am unable to agree with it right now because it completely churns me, I nevertheless need to accept Him as the source of all that is happening. Moreover, as a good and kind source, one that is necessary for me so that I would work with it and bring myself to a state when all the time, to whatever extent possible, I remain with Him.
Do I perceive it as an obstacle? – Yes.
Is this obstacle for my own benefit? – Yes.
Is it pleasant or unpleasant? – Unpleasant.
Still, I have to gradually come to a state where this obstacle will fade away. This requires a lot of patience and a lot of work, and then everything will turn into sweetness.

The Life Of The Embryo Depends On The Umbilical Cord

The main thing is not to forget the most important thing: We have to attribute all the discernments, all the questions, and all the excuses only to the connection with the group. Everything else belongs to the corporeal world. I may think of sublime things, but it makes no difference since it has nothing to do with spirituality. Only one thing belongs to spirituality: my connection with the group, which is called the form of the embryo. This is the only thing that belongs to spirituality and it’s the only thing that takes on a form of in order to bestow, and nothing but that!
Therefore, I ask, listen, and think about some of the questions in the workshop, but there should only be one discernment in my thoughts: my current connection with the group, its style, and its manner. This is called a form, and it’s the most important thing for me at the moment. The only thing I care about at any given moment is my connection with the group by which the form of my spiritual Partzuf, its height, etc. is determined.
No matter what we discuss, this is the only thing I think about. This connection is more important than anything else, like the placenta or the umbilical cord are for the embryo and nothing but it. This means being constantly part of the source, as a result of which the stabilizing force and the delaying force are valued only with regard to this one discernment with regard to my connection with the group. We mustn’t forget that since otherwise it’s as if you are hanging in the air engaging in abstract philosophy instead of with specific clarifications.

Why Am I Sick?

Question: Why do health problems appear with us all the time, in thefamily, etc.?
Answer: We don’t know why we are sick because we don’t see the entire system of creation. Someone does something in one place and for that someone in another place “takes it on the head” because we are a single integral system. So I cannot tell you how to act when someone is sick.
We need only to advance towards an inclusive unity. Only this alone! As Baal HaSulam writes, love of friends is ready to cover all of our problems.

What Are You Ashamed Of?

Question: When I am in a group, I feel some kind of sense of shame and try to understand what my ego wants to tell me with this. But this is not shame with regard to the Creator, but in regard to the physical world?
Answer: Tell me, what should I be ashamed of in this world? Is it because I am a regular normal beast? Even if abnormal beastly defects exist within me, this is also not me. What is there to be ashamed of?! I want to steal? Yes. I want to sin? Yes. Yet this is no reason to be ashamed! These are normal human characteristics, and it’s not even necessary to think about them.
Shame can be only from this, I could approach the Creator and I belittle those possibilities that He gives to me. A feeling like this appears only with regard to a host who honors a guest and the guest begins to feel ashamed. But this happens on the highest levels. And so it is also said that shame is only for high souls. Therefore, shame must only be because I don’t utilize the opportunities that are given to me from Above.

Ascend Above Reason

The Torah, “Exodus” (Ki Tissa), 32:2: Aaron said to them, “Remove the golden earrings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters and bring them [those earrings] to me.”
This is saying that all of the internal characteristics and senses of a person that help his advancement: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching now receive egoistic tendencies and directions. But a person doesn’t understand and doesn’t feel that he is going in an opposite direction.
In that he feels an acute requirement for support, he relies upon what he has on hand, his reason. He doesn’t have anything more than it. There exist desires and their fulfillments. Fulfillment through knowledge and reason is the highest fulfillment after food, sex, family, wealth, and control.
Fulfillment through knowledge gives us a sensation of mastery over something very significant, a feeling of control. Whereas, in spiritual work we must go forward, acquiring a new, higher reasoning that replaces material knowledge with bestowal and love, meaning to advance contrary to reason.
Ascent above reason happens when I see that according to my reasoning, my egoistic understanding, I must specifically make this step, yet I make a completely different calculation, but not against reason, for I don’t go contrary to reason, but rather above reason. It is very important to feel what “above” means. Sometimes we say “contrary to reason,” but we don’t mean nullification of reason but ascent above it.
By nullifying reason and not taking it into account at all, I seemingly nullify it. Whereas here I am found with my former reasoning and to ascend to the next higher reasoning I must do this through a method of increasing faith, increasing bestowal and love, without any egoistic basis, contrary to my internal egoistic call. In this case, for us the basis for advancement becomes the general rule, “And you shall love your friend as yourself.”

An External Ring Made Of Several Million

Question: At the beginning of the week you said that if we manage to tighten the connection between the friends who are returning to their home towns and are able to overcome all the obstacles of this world, the end of correction would come the next Sabbath. If that is so, why did we hear in yesterday’s lesson that the end of correction will not come unless a couple of million people who support us and who are in contact with us come together?
Answer: It’s a very complicated question and it depends on many conditions. How can we keep the connection between all the groups if we are not surrounded by an external ring of several million? One doesn’t nullify the other, but we will not feel the need to be so strongly connected, as if we are one next to the other although we have already dispersed each to his own continent, if these millions don’t oblige us. So it depends on that.
Question: If that’s the case, then what is our mission for this week in order to summon and to draw the force of the end of correction that is called Messiah?
Answer: We have to prepare ourselves for external dissemination actions all over the world and to strengthen the groups and the friends who engage in integral education. We have to reduce the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah and totally switch to the dissemination of the integral education. I have no doubt that it’s much closer to the implementation of the end of correction and that it summons less objection. We have to establish detailed work plans of the general dissemination in all the continents, countries, cities, and groups.
We should perceive the next series of conventions in Europe, North and South America (Columbia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, the U.S., and Canada) not simply as conventions but as an internal convention that will give us a great spiritual push forward. We already need to prepare ourselves for that by using every opportunity given.
The fact that we have started talking about the formation of the spiritual embryo and the spiritual womb is a great success. It’s very meaningful progress. It isn’t so difficult and we simply need to organize ourselves because we already know where the hands and the legs of this spiritual embryo are and what we should hope for and what we should do. All the discernments are in our hands. It really fills me with great hope and joy.

The Actual Task

Question: What is our task today?
Answer: The task today is to think about how to construct a spiritual womb and fetus at each and every moment with all the friends together, in other words, building the state of pregnancy. We need to clarify for ourselves which intentions, efforts, and types of connection between us are required to construct the womb and by means of which efforts and types of connection between us do we construct the fetus.
And likewise, it’s necessary to understand what kind of a gap there must be between the womb and the fetus. By means of what will it continue to grow all the time? For the size of this gap determines the influence of the Surrounding Light on us; to the degree that the higher seems greater to us and to the degree that I am lowlier, so the Light that Reforms acts on me more strongly.
Within the Surrounding Light there are Sefirot and many types of Lights that influence us and build us from all various kinds of forms. From the start, we use a material which is formless, unshaped desire. This is like our physical body that is constructed from stem cells that later begin to connect and build various body parts: hands, feet, brain, heart, liver, lungs, and so forth.
They begin to form very complex connections, receiving from the mother all kinds of functions and types of work, to be able to take care of themselves within their body. Previously, the mother supplied blood for the fetus; whereas, now its heart begins to work and after this all the body parts become included in the work, except for the lungs. The fetus begins to function as a living body. Only a few systems are left which are inactive. Afterward we will learn why they are active only after birth.
It has already been proven through research that the fetus sees the world through the tissues of the mother. They turn on a light from the outside and the fetus knows and reacts to this. Don’t you remember how you blinked your eyes when you were in the uterus of the mother?
Therefore, one should not underestimate the level of the fetus and think that this is just self-nullification. Everything depends on this, on which levels I nullify myself and accordingly add a multitude of observations. The Light of Infinity comes to me, but within me all kinds of levels of stages of desire are awakened from zero to 4 degrees. And to the degree that I nullify my desire in order to remain a fetus, I enter into cooperation with the Upper Light of Infinity in each and every part.
Besides breathing, which belongs to the level of Bina and above, all the rest of the levels begin to work even before birth. A fetus is a very wise level, this is the foundation for the entire continued development of all the levels. Everything begins from the still level, meaning from the fetus.

Labor On Writing The Letters Of The Work

All the worlds, the Partzufim, and the Sefirot are revealed in the connection between us. All this begins from a level of an embryo in which a person treats everyone as if he himself does not exist. It’s like the restriction, self-annulment. The ego is restricted as if it doesn’t exist and thus a person is incorporated in his environment like an embryo in his mother.
This doesn’t happen all at once since first a person has to go through the three days of the absorption of the semen. Self-annulment isn’t enough here since it’s only a way not to disturb the upper. However, in order to be incorporated in Him and to become an embryo who adheres to the wall of the womb, I have to go through the three days of the absorption of the semen. Although I restrict myself, I have to take the three forms of the ascent, the right line, the left line, and the middle line. I annul myself before them too and accept the domination of the upper.
The upper is the group for me. We don’t look for the upper somewhere up in Heaven but only in our environment. The environment can treat me well or badly, but it doesn’t matter. I am ready to annul myself before it with regard to everything that happens, as long as I am adhered to the group in faith above reason, and understand that this is my upper level. The Creator turns to me through the friends.
Thus the three days of the absorption of the semen go by and if I am ready to annul myself before the group, I continue to develop. This also requires self-annulment. The embryo constantly annuls itself, but by that I begin to feel the influence of the group. The friends may not feel what they give me, like the example of Rabbi Yossi Ben Kisma and his students, but I receive true spiritual discernments through the whole world, through everything that surrounds me.
After the first forty days, I reach the level of Bina. This period is called the forty days of the creation of the embryo since from that moment onward I begin to take on the form of the future human being. Bina draws the first form of the Creator for me. Thus, the period of the development of the spiritual embryo continues with all the fillings that he receives. The main thing is to constantly annul ourselves during this period. The more I annul myself on top of my ego, the more filling I receive. My filling is my inner struggle, overcoming my ego, which turns into the letters of the work.
My letters of the work, which means my filling, are added to the form of HaVaYaH. My desire begins to bend in order to accept the form of the future human being. Thus we begin our spiritual path.
I believe that the example of the mother who teaches her children to be good and to play nicely and follow the grownups’ example is a very good example. If we want to become the one who resembles the Creator, we have to follow His example. The Creator is good and benevolent, and I also have to prove that I am good to people. If I really yearn for that, I will discover an increasingly greater inner resistance on part of my nature to that, and by overcoming it, I will begin to reveal the Creator.
We learn about the Creator from our evil inclination and don’t receive any readymade form from Above. The form, the filling of the letters, is actually the letters! We build ourselves into the Creator by our desires, by our self-annulment and self-submission, and by yearning to resemble the Creator more and more above our ego, which wants the opposite.

A Group Is A Purifying Force

Question: How can we constantly focus on love and bestowal?
Answer: We can focus on love and bestowal only in the right environment, which is our salvation. We cannot even imagine how effective and unique this help is, it is like a tuning fork in which we can tune every attribute, every string of the soul.
On one hand, there are attributes of bestowal buried deep inside all the particles of the general soul thanks to the shattering. On the other hand, there are those who receive an awakening of this attribute of bestowal and are ready to start working with it and to connect to one another. The readiness to connect and unite turns their society into a spiritual mechanism in which anyone who wants to purify and strengthen himself in the right direction can do so.
But this society has to constantly clarify and look for what else can be improved. This is what continuous group work is; everyone works on the connection with others.
The whole egoistic collective is replaced by one unified society and then this one united attribute of love and bestowal, which everyone is dissolved into, a giant unit that is made of many, becomes a purifying force because the Upper Light goes through it. It resembles the Creator and is in equivalence of form with Him, with His force, with His unclear presence, and later with His clear presence that goes precisely through this system called a group.
Now its representatives who are the carriers of the force of the whole group can go out to the public and work with everyone on connection.

I Receive According To My Equivalence Of Form

Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to The Book of Zohar,” Item 46: But the Kelim, called KHBTM in each of the lower worlds—Beria, Yetzira, Assiya—are not considered Godliness, but are rather covers that conceal the Light of Infinity within them and ration a certain amount of Light to the receivers. Each of them will receive only according to the level of its purity.
It is as if I am next to some pipe that passes and receives the Light through it only according to the level of my purity, according to my equivalence of form. Suppose I am in the world of Assiya. On the whole, the whole ladder of the worlds is filled with the Light of Infinity, but every time the system stabilizes itself with regard to the one who receives and gives him Light according to the attribute of bestowal.
Thus, I receive my private Light that matches my desire and according to the level of my correction, my Masach (screen). I receive according to my equivalence of form with the Light.

Life Behind The Curtain Of The Tzimtzum

We work facing the simple Upper Light that fills all of reality, being good and benevolent to everyone without exception, to the evil and to the good. This is to say, it has no form or distinction. In the Upper Light there are no colors.
And we want to stabilize ourselves like this Upper Light, only so our form will be based upon the desire to receive, meaning the opposite of the Light. But it must be similar in every manner of its external behavior.
It follows that both the Kli and its fulfillment and the behavior of the Kli should all be situated within the desire to receive. This is our substance in which we situate everything. Even the Light of NRNHY that we discover symbolized in letters: The letter “Yod” is called Light of Hochma, the letter “Hey” is called Light of Bina because the form of bestowal from the side of the Kli is called Light.
And that is how this is in everything, for the Light of Infinity itself is not felt, it disappears after the first restriction (Tzimtzum Aleph). We can attain the Light behind this curtain, after the first restriction, only by giving to our desires, to our Kli, created from our metal or material form similar to the Light that is found wherever it is behind the curtain.

The desire of each one of us includes within it five levels: 0,1,2,3,4. And all the forms that we receive in our yearning to resemble the permanent Upper Light we determine through the changes that take place within our desire to receive. The Upper Light itself is permanent and simple, filling all of reality, and there is no change in it. It acts permanently as absolute love, a sea of Light.
All changes are realized only within the Kli through the discovery of our Reshimot, through the communications between us. In each one of us, at every moment, newReshimot are discovered, sometimes in one and sometimes in another, and all of our links with each change their form. And from this come all of the various forms of theAdam, the one similar to the Creator.
Therefore, the spiritual Kli is letters, its fulfillment is also letters, and our work is the letters of work. Everything is derived from the desire to receive. And the difference is only in how we handle it and use it for the Creator who is good and benevolent, working in “faith above reason.”
If all of the many changes that take place within us are matched to the good and benevolent like the mother who asks her children to be good, then they give us understanding, feeling, and attainment of the Creator, which is born within us and doesn’t descend from some place above. This is a very important point because it directs us towards practical work in that it obliges us to relate correctly to everything that happens within us and in the connection between us. It is worthwhile to pay attention to all of this because specifically here we discover the Creator. And this symbolizes that the Creator is revealed between us.

Following The Teacher Step By Step

Question: A convention is always a great test for us. How can we make sure that we are in the right direction between the conventions, even when we experience negative feelings?
Answer: I cannot tell you when you experience negative feelings and when you don’t. If you are connected to us, you advance and the geographic distance is meaningless.
I will say it again, you advance only when you are with us in all our collective actions because by missing a couple of lessons, you miss much more and then you will not understand what is said in the next lesson. You will not understand things internally! You will not have the necessary filling and satiation.
My lessons are always inclined upwards, constantly upwards. You may think that it’s a repetition or that it has nothing to do with the previous material, but it’s not so! I always move forward! It may be presented differently, in a different manner or style, but it’s always on an increasingly higher level.
So you mustn’t miss any lessons! If you haven’t had a chance to listen to the lessons for a couple of days for different reasons, then you should still watch them later. The problem is that many of our friends don’t take the daily participation in the lessons seriously while I base my study precisely on that. A student is a person who follows me step by step.

Don’t Lose The Level You Have Attained

Question: Now that the convention is over I feel that I am starting to go back to my previous state and I don’t want that at all. What should I do so that everything that I do and think about will be for the Creatorin order to delight Him?
Answer: The Creator has arranged our lives and nothing is up to us. It’s the same when it comes to politicians, economists, our relatives, and even us. The Creator intentionally arranges and organizes this life in the way we feel it so that from these specific conditions we will attain the revelation of His uniqueness, His wholeness.
So the fact that you already feel that you are drawing away from the convention and returning to your previous life while still here with us is not a good sign. You should do everything in your power to warm yourself so as not to lose the level that you attained and to hold on to it by your teeth.
I understand that it’s difficult and I even know that it’s impossible, but your slightest efforts to do so already help you ascend spiritually and it is net profit. Especially now when you are still here and your daily routine doesn’t pressure you, you should at least resist this in any possible way.
I did similar exercises when I was with Rabash, when Iraq bombed Israel during the Gulf War and missiles fell about 500-700 meters from where we were studying. It was very unpleasant, but a person has to constantly try to hold on to the connection with the Creator both in the good states and in the bad ones.
So try to constantly keep a small area in your mind in which you constantly keep in touch with the Creator no matter which state you are in, even if it’s a state where you feel nothing.

Conception Is The First Level Of The Spiritual Reality

Writings of Rabash, “What Is The Cup of Blessing Must Be Full in the Work”: There is a difference between speaking and mute in the work. Since speaking is the state of revelation, meaning that one has already attained the state of suckling in spirituality, and he already feels that he is suckling from Kedusha (Divinity). And the state of suckling points to Hassadim (Mercy), becauseHesed is the state of bestowal, since when one merits the vessels of bestowal, meaning when all his actions are for the sake of Heaven and he no longer cares for himself, it is called that he merited the state of Hessed (bestowal).
However, gestation precedes it, meaning that the upper one corrects him. In the meantime a person doesn’t participate in his own correction. He only annuls himself and the upper one does all the work. But every time a person annuls himself differently with regards to new discernments. He encounters new problems, troubles, yet he annuls himself, lowers his head and accepts everything.
And this is when one is like an unborn in his mother’s womb, where the unborn annuls before his mother, and he has no opinion of his own. Rather, as the sages said, “The unborn within his mother eats what his mother eats” and he has no existence of his own, to ask any questions, or do anything on his own, and that means that he is mute and that he has no mouth to ask any questions.
A person makes himself mute, he as though doesn’t exist inside the upper one at all so as not to disturb the upper one and not to be a foreign force in it. If the embryo is a foreign body inside the mother, her body will immediately resist it and reject the embryo as something hostile. But this is the wonder of nature since the exact opposite happens and the mother’s whole body begins to work for the benefit of the embryo instead of rejecting him. This happens because in nature the corporeal embryo also annuls himself when it develops in the womb.
…and that means that he is mute and that he has no mouth to ask any questions. That is, he shuts his mouth and doesn’t argue, he annuls himself, accepting everything. He has many questions and feels resentment, but he concedes and doesn’t argue.
And this is the time for one to walk with his eyes shut, above reason, to believe in the wisdom of the sages and advance to the end. It is impossible to explain this in other words since in the meantime a person doesn’t understand anything in spirituality. Therefore, it is said simply that he has to annul himself all the way and believe in the faith of the sages, which means to count on them all the way. No matter what I feel inside my heart and what doubts go through my head, I annul myself before the upper Providence.
This is called gestation, meaning that he has no mouth to speak. It is the state ofMalchut, which is the smallest and most restricted, and is called Ibur, which comes from the words transgression and judgments (Dinim), as implied in the words “The Creator judged me for your sake (because of you).”
And the matter of transgression and judgment (Din) must be explained. Because for the reason that one must walk with his eyes shut, above reason, the body opposes it, and for that reason one must continuously overcome it, and this is called transgression, wrath and trouble, because it is such a difficult work to always walk in a state of annulment before the upper one, and let the upper one do whatever He wills with him. 
A person is ready to annul himself in any way possible. He cannot help the upper one like on the levels of suckling and greatness. But he is ready to totally annul himself before the upper one and to give Him his body and soul to be corrected. And this is called Ibur(gestation), which is the smallest possible restriction, the very first degree of spiritual existence. We shouldn’t despair, together we will reach it!

The Book Of Zohar – This Is Our Tree Of Life

“The Zohar was to be concealed in the future… until the last generation would come in the end of days, when it then would be revealed.”—Rabbi Isaiah HaLevi Horowitz, the Holy Shlah.
Many Kabbalists spoke about the nullification of the ban on studying the wisdom of Kabbalah: The great Kabbalist of the Middle Ages, Avraham Azulai, as well as the Ari and all the Kabbalists linked with him: the Ramak, the Ramchal, Rabbi Hayim Vital. The Ari was the Kabbalist who made a break with the entire process of the exile and ended it. And from him onward, the Era of the Messiah began.
But this was to be a complete period that would develop gradually according to the levels of 0-1-2-3, and in our day we are already entering into the last level 4, which belongs to the Era of the Messiah. Therefore the whole world is in fall, while Kabbalah is beginning to be revealed more and more.
Until the time of the Ari, The Book of Zohar was concealed. It was revealed a bit by Rabbi Moshe de Leon, but only through the Ari have we merited to see what is written in it. And therefore we count the Era of the Messiah from the days of the Ari onward.
“Messiah” means that through our work to draw (Limshoh) the Light that Reforms we can make an “Itaruta de Letata” (arousal from below), expressing our desire that will raise us on all the levels and will attract the Light to us that will correct the relationships between us. Then we will feel that we are no longer in this world; instead we have truly entered into a higher world. All this is clarified through the connection between us. If this connection is integrated, transforming correctly, then accordingly we begin to feel ourselves in the upper world and rise higher and higher through the 125 levels.
“And because in the future Israel will taste from the Tree of Life, which is this Book of Zohar, they will leave the exile with mercy.” The Book of Zohar, “Naso,” section 90.
If we are seriously and diligently involved with The Book of Zohar, then certainly we will leave the exile with mercy. And if not, then it will happen as it is written: “I will place over you a king like Haman and against your will he will return you to reform.” In other words, we have a possibility of going out of exile in a good way, by the way of Torah, through the Light that Reforms, which is uniquely designed for correction of the evil inclination. If we know how to be involved with The Book of Zohar correctly, then we will summon the Light that Reforms onto ourselves and we will leave the exile, meaning the causeless hatred and the temporary feeling of a miserable existence in this world. Everything will be changed according to the connection between us.
We can make the same change through the way of suffering, which is truly a very difficult and long way. But through the Light that we summon, we advance on a very short, easy and pleasant way.

Private And Common Salvation

How can we free ourselves of the impulse to pray for our own selves, asking for things egoistically, being unhappy with our past selves, and blaming ourselves for things in the past? After all, when we do this, we blame the Creator.
All the things that have happened to us in the past had to happen, the Creator made it happen. And this is why when we are unhappy with our past, we blame Him for putting us in those situations.
When we only concentrate on the group, this concentration helps us free ourselves of our incorrect attitude towards the past, the present, praying for ourselves, in our name, for our sake. This is the only way we can bring ourselves to have the right intention. And in this way, when we are inside this net, we stay close to the system and do not pull it in the opposite direction. When we concentrate on the prayer of many and constantly remain in this state, it saves us personally and helps the entire system move forward due to us.
How can we always have this aspiration, be in it as soon as we open our eyes in the morning? Just this! Otherwise, any thoughts of ours, any movements in our desires and mind will be negative and will distance us from the goal.
If we advance this way, we will certainly have descents and negative impulses, but only so we could fill them with a greater movement forward. In other words, if I will constantly advance by praying for others, by advancing them, then all the negative impulses will only be directed towards my further advancement and understanding of the direction in which I need to go and how I am to move.
This will determine the style and form of my movement. Then the Creator will be helping me: a little to the left, a little to the right, think about another, wish this and that, etc. If I am advancing correctly, I will definitely begin to feel His instructions.

There Is Nothing To Be Ashamed Of

Question: Do I rob the group of the opportunity to unite around my problem and solve it if I have a certain problem and I feel ashamed to bring it to the group?
Answer: Shame is pride, ego, and perhaps even narcissism, but there is nothing we can do about it. It passes gradually.
Animals don’t feel shame. A cow standing in the field eating grass is not ashamed of anything. So why should a person feel ashamed of being a donkey standing in the field and doing what his body demands?
It isn’t by chance that it says: “Go to the craftsman who made me.” He gave me the desire to receive and I have to be ashamed that I had an opportunity to correct it and didn’t do so.
I am ashamed of the unfulfilled corrections, but I don’t need to be ashamed of the corrected and the corrupt natural forms since both belong to the Creator, while the human being in me is the middle part, the shell of Noga, the third middle part of Tifferet. This is the place where my freewill is. It’s there that I need to feel ashamed and to worry as to whether I have fulfilled myself correctly.
So I don’t understand people who cannot or who will not tell the friends in the group about what happens to them, especially when it can damage the whole group. We should be very careful here, since by delaying the advancement of the friends, by “saving” on their account, I delay myself much more.
It isn’t worth it. What have we got to hide? After all, everything comes from Above and we are not responsible for it. There is none else besides Him. We only have to unite more and to find the opportunity to correct the situation. There will be many more such states and they will end only at the end of correction.

The Principle Of The Spiritual Ascent

The Torah, “Exodus” (Ki Tissa), 32:16-32:18: Now the tablets were God’s work, and the inscription was God’s inscription, engraved on the tablets. When Joshua heard voice of the people in their shouting, he said to Moses: “There is a voice of battle in the camp!” But [Moses] said: “[It is] neither a voice shouting victory, nor a voice shouting defeat; a voice of blasphemy I hear.”
When Moses climbed down from Mt. Sinai, he thought that the nation of Israel would fight both among themselves and within themselves. Instead, he heard cries of joy that indicate full mutual consent. Moses is the only one who was against everyone else since even Aaron agreed with the people’s desire to make a golden calf. But this state had to be revealed, it was necessary.
The attribute of Joshua in a person is a certain tool that is close to Moses like a loyal assistant, a servant, who totally annuls himself before him. Moses is the head and Joshua is the body and additional executive functions.
Everything that Joshua receives from Moses is totally opposite from his understanding, his knowledge, and his perspective. So he doesn’t just annul himself before Moses, but receives everything as an axiom. His mind rejects his actions but because he operates according to the desires of Moses, it’s as if his mind is rebuilt, and goes through a process of reprogramming.
The correction of the body is from the top down, as it says, “the hearts are drawn after the actions and the thoughts are drawn after the hearts.” Therefore we say, “we shall do and we shall hear.” This is our way, we have to annul ourselves before the upper level, do everything it dictates to us, and then we will begin to understand it. This is the principle of our continuous ascent.

The Beautiful Outbursts Of The Soul

People have been trying to find something holy in material objects over the course of many years. They have unlocked pyramids and coffins and have found nothing except for mold and fungus which kills them.
The fact is that people constantly rely on the material world; there is nothing good about it because it poisons a person spiritually. People build non-spiritual structures, create a world of dark objects, a world where spirituality is perceived in a material form; this is the golden calf.
This is why the Torah constantly mentions a request for Moses and the Levites to rise and kill the people, to stab and burn every fifth and tenth person. This implies an aspiration to eradicate everyone’s natural, egoistic tendency to constantly search for the golden calf.
There is an altruistic impulse in every person’s soul, and they must find it. But this has nothing to do with regular impulses, when a person wishes to pull away from the past, to ease his fate. Many people are prepared to die either to rid themselves of suffering or to seemingly unite with a higher idea. We see soldiers go off to war prepared to sacrifice themselves.
But here the only thing a person has is his aspiration for something higher. This is a special quality of the soul, which is beginning to manifest in him.
After all, the purpose of the program of creation is to bring every person to a state of similarity to the Creator, and then together we will form the single image of Adam.

Teach The World To Be An Embryo Inside Us

Question: Sometimes you accent the importance of the group and sometimes the importance of dissemination. How do we understand this correctly to actually enter the “Light”?
Answer: Every person needs to receive nourishment from the upper, and together they must internalize this power they have received in order to grow. This is the next step after building a womb and an embryo; our further advancement takes place inside this internal and external system: the upper and the lower system.
In order to do this, we constantly need to look for the faults in us, our ability to add something else for the growth of our womb and our state of the embryo; in other words, we must lower ourselves. If we are ready for this and we want the Upper One to be as big as possible, if we look for ways to make Him grow, we awaken bad, corrupt desires in us, which awaken in the form of a protest. This way we advance by accelerating time, “by awakening the dawn.”
We turn into an old man who walks bent over and keeps making sure he has not dropped anything. And so we begin to advance our state by uncovering the faults, which we use to build and expand the higher degree. The womb becomes bigger, and now our embryo can grow bigger in it. The appeal comes from below, from the lower one, while the growth, the stages of development manifest from above, through the power of the Upper One. This is how we construct ourselves.
And once we complete the nine month of prenatal development, we are born into the spiritual world, we go through the stages of the small state, reach the big state, and become ready to birth others and be to them as the upper is to the lower. We need to be in this state in relation to the world and teach the world to be an embryo inside us.
Question: Is the Machsom the line where we compare our qualities to the womb and learn to feed the others?
Answer: A spiritual embryo is a state above the Machsom. If I am able to connect with others and create with them a single body with the help of the Upper Light, which influences us and unites us into a single whole, then I am already above the Machsom. At this point we are already able to bestow on the minimal level, and this can only be done in the spiritual world, above the Machsom. The Machsom is the borderline, which determines whether I am still in the state of egoistic reception or whether I already possess a certain degree of bestowal.
The Machsom is a kind of restriction where I cover myself to a minimal degree. And the stages of greater restriction and bestowal are built on top of this.

A Person Growing In The Womb Of Mother Bina

Question: If we establish the group like a womb for our spiritual embryo, should certain friends stand out in it?
Answer: No, there cannot be anyone who stands out or who is different or unequal either in the embryo or in the group. Everyone has to be equal. It’s actually by our differences that we establish one general whole vessel: one embryo and one womb. By connecting with regard to the greatness of the attribute of bestowal, we establish one womb. It’s in the connection and the recognition of the lowliness of our nature that we establish one embryo.
No one can stand out among the others, although there are parts that stand out in the embryo, since it has a human form, and the womb also has its own form. But these forms are created as a result of the sum of the connection between all of us, where everything disappears and everyone takes on the form of bestowal.
Besides, the embryo is in the “waters of the womb,” which separates him from the walls of the womb. The womb is not adhered directly to the embryo, and doesn’t give its form to the embryo. The embryo is Bina, which is a whole form and not a human form. But if the embryo totally wraps himself with Hassadim, he receives such bestowal from the womb that it turns him into a human being, and gives him the form of a human being,Adam, which resembles the Creator (Domeh, which has the same root in Hebrew).
