The King’s Clothing


From Rabash’s lesson: When a person is naked, he feels a deficiency, and that’s why clothing for him is like filling that covers his deficiency. In spirituality too, an empty desire feels that it is deficient. When the Light comes and fills it, it is like clothing.
Clothing is the level of compatibility of the desire to the Light. The clothing can be inanimate, vegetative, animate, or different human characters—all this is the clothing a person has, which determines which attributes of the Light the desire can adopt by dressing in it in order to resemble the Light.
Our main work is to yearn to become a clothing on the upper one, to receive a form that is the most compatible with the Creator. We should constantly prepare ourselves to take on a new form. Everything is determined by the clothing because the desire itself has no form. It depends on the clothing, whether a person will be a beast or a human who resembles the Creator; it is one of the two.
On the way we should constantly see ourselves in a state of free will, half guilty and half innocent according to the clothing, according to the form I am inclined to. In order to do that I have the group, the teacher, and the books, which can attune me to a clothing, a form that is as similar to the Creator as possible.

A Jump Into Eternity


Question: Soon there will be a convention in Kharkov. Which main thought should we be concentrating on?
Answer: This thought must be a about achieving a very serious unity, where the upper Force will be revealed, which helps everyone see, feel, and understand how to actually advance.
Regrettably, currently there is enormous confusion; people still do not understand what they need to do. And they will not understand it until they see and feel that they are on a spiritual level: the level of bestowal. They will have problems, complaints, and so forth.
Question: Are you speaking about mankind or our groups?
Answer: Primarily, I am speaking about our groups. Personally, I need to urgently lift my students to already begin working with them on a different level.
I hope that our seminars, the upcoming fall convention, and the work in preparation for the convention and dissemination of our materials that we do over the course of this time, the round tables in the West, the US, and Israel—that all of this will result in our ability to enter then next level through our mutual effort. I am always waiting for this. And it is coming nearer.
It is like jumping over an abyss, when you need to swing intensely, and only after will you be able to make a good jump. We are now swinging like a cat aiming itself before a jump. This is the state that we are in now.
This has never yet happened in history because since the breaking of the Kelim, the vessels, we are the first ones to begin correcting.
Question: Sо you have both an uneasy and happy feeling that this is about to happen?
Answer: I simply know that this must happen, and I am concerned in a way, because I feel like the world is unraveling much faster and we must prevent the outcome of it.
We can do this if we gather into one single Kli, a common desire, then the world will follow us. And everyone will suddenly reveal that there is a method, a group, an organization, which is able to give a new philosophy, a new model to the world.
And if we fail to achieve this and will have no strength, mankind will also not feel anything. We must appear in this world as the carriers of a unifying, spiritual upper Force. And then the world will “smell” that we have it, and everyone will follow.
This is why it is very important now to prepare many teachers, lecturers, and educators who need to complete seminars and courses of integral preparation, of unity, so they understand what this is about even though they have not yet attained spirituality. But we already want to have materials, a method, and for everything around to move towards it.
I think that we will absolutely break through before the fall convention: The world will obligate us. There is an objective need here, and it is not for us, but for the world to advance forward.
Once we really capture this spiritual potential, the entire world will immediately begin to feel it and advance because we all exist in one single field.
Just like a charge in an electric field moves towards its source, its potential, in the same way, the entire world will suddenly feel that we have the solution to the problem; we will capture specifically this potential, this unity. It is not like something will convince everyone; people will not need words, they will simply wait: “Give us what you have!” They will turn to us with this demand.

Mutual Guarantee Is Simple


All our correction is in order to reach the connection of all the shattered vessels. Then we will correct the general vessel. This connection should be perfect, special, and diversified. We aren’t just putting together a puzzle, a two dimensional picture.
After all, we understand from the shattering that the vessels were incorporated in each other, and there isn’t one shattered part that doesn’t include all the other vessels. Therefore, every part is separated from the whole since it has lost the natural ability to be with others. This is the broken part in it. Now with the help of the upper Light, it should acquire this ability by itself.
In the past I knew I was connected to several parts around me, just like in an ordinary puzzle. I had to get along only with those who were next to me, and this promised everything that is good to our “area.”
But now everything is different, now I am included in everyone. This means that I have to take part in the connection among everyone, in the connection between every two different parts. Just think what a mechanism we are talking about: All its parts are integrally connected among them, in all their diversity, in all the sections, in every direction. We cannot imagine yet how such a thing is possible.
In order to be able to start this assembly which includes measurements, an emotional perception, and mutual participation in hundreds of billions of options; this idea is presented to us in the form of the law of mutual guarantee, which we have to keep even on the lowest level. In fact; for a start, I don’t have to keep in touch with all the other parts, which are not really seven billion but an infinite amount, since everyone is included in everyone and since every connection to someone else immediately turns into the world of Ein Sof (Infinity).
The law of mutual guarantee, the format in which Kabbalists bring us the method of connection, is a simple method that can be easily fulfilled, and which enables us to carry out simple gradual actions on our way to correction without being confused. Today we cannot deal with our internal “mechanism,” which we will reach later on, according to the principle of “from Your actions we shall know You.” Instead we are dealing with accessible, external things that can be identified in order to advance.
This is mutual guarantee: not entering internal things, which could prevent me from correcting myself and the world. I only need to be responsible for what is happening among us. We should regard the method of mutual guarantee as a wonderful opportunity. Kabbalists intentionally brought us the method of correction in such a simple form.

Happy Childhood In The Shadow Of The Creator


Question: What does it mean to work above reason?
Answer: Work above reason means bestowal. That is, I want to take the form of a giver, like the Creator, to become a loving person, to leave my ego and make use of myself for the good of my neighbor, to unite with others in order exit myself. It means that I appreciate bestowal more than my own qualities of reception.
First of all, I want to break free from the power of my selfish desires and to rise above it. It means escaping from “Egyptian slavery” and reaching the quality of Bina aboveMalchut. When I become free and rise above my ego, which can no longer grab my legs and drag me back, now I even can begin working with this desire within it.
The stages of embryo (Ibur) and feeding (Yenika) is a rise above my desire to enjoy, but the stage of adulthood is working within this desire. Work on the desire to enjoy is in fear, in bestowing in order to bestow (Hafetz Hesed), in the properties of Bina, by becoming included into the Creator, staying in His shadow like a baby clinging to his mother and fully entrusting himself to her and thus receiving the power to rise above his ego.
Then, when the child grows up, he can get in touch with his egoism and begin working with it. This is called a return to love.

The Religion Of Love


Baal HaSulam, from the article “The Arvut (Mutual Guarantee)”: Rabbi Elazar, son of Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai), clarifies this concept of Arvut even further. It is not enough for him that all of Israel be responsible for one another, but the whole world is included in that Arvut. Indeed, there is no dispute here, for everyone admits that to begin with, it is enough to start with one nation for the observance of the Torah for the beginning of the correction of the world. It was impossible to begin with all the nations at once.
Thus, the implementation of the Torah is called “correction of the world,” which was designed to bring everyone from hatred to love. As it is written in Baal HaSulam’s article “The Essence of Religion and its Purpose,” the true “religion” is the wisdom of Kabbalah and its purpose is to bring the world to love. The main commandment of the Torah is “love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no more than that.
But after the destruction of the Temple and the severance from the truth, as a result of the concealment and impurity, all kinds of religions began to develop according to the present meaning of this word. They began to develop from the wisdom of Kabbalah, which is the general “religion” of the entire world. They built an egoistic relation to the Creator and to life when they gave the foundation of give and take: “Let’s in some way earn paradise in the world to come.”
This in no way belongs to the truth that we need to discover here and now, as it is said: “You will see your world in your lifetime.” According to the definition, the wisdom of Kabbalah is the discovery of the Creator by the created beings in this world. Thus it isn’t required of us to believe in anything or perform any kinds of ritual, physical acts in order to receive some kind of reward after the death of the animal body. The “next world,” isBina, bestowal, love, in which lies the intention aimed at bestowal for the good of others. Are you ready for this? Do you want to reach this kind of future world during this life?
We need to differentiate between true “religion”—the wisdom of Kabbalah—and the regular religions, between the real act of love of others—the one and only commandment—and between all kinds of actions that man fabricates for himself in hope to receive reward after the death of his body. In general, religions, beliefs, and various kinds of systems cause separation between people and pass on hatred between them, as opposed to the wisdom of Kabbalah, which speaks about unity above all the differences.

A System For The Injection Of The Light


Question: If the forefathers were corrected and the sons reached mutual guarantee, for whom was the Torah, the method, actually given? For whom is it intended, Israel or the nations of the world?
Answer: The Torah was undoubtedly meant for the nations of the world. It says that the Creator turned to seventy nations and offered them the Torah, but none of these egoistic desires—ones that don’t have the spiritual spark, that aren’t able to correct themselves by keeping in contact with the Light, and that cannot respond to it correctly—were able to receive it. The “matter” of the desire to receive cannot understand the process of the ascent and the change brought about by the Light if it doesn’t have that spark.
So, how can the spark be inserted? For that, there is another system called “the people of Israel,” without which it is impossible to turn to the egoistic desire and start working with it. Even billions of years of evolution will not help if there is no spark of the Light inside the ego. The inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels of nature cannot rise; they are kinds of desire that cannot do it.
However, there is one kind of desire Israel that desires to be Yashar El (straight to the Creator). The entire world recognizes the fact that it is different and hates it without even knowing why.
The children of Israel, in their turn, discover that they are different, although they try to be like everyone else. There are even those who believe that it is another race, and there is a grain of truth in this assumption, although it is on a different level.
Our entire history proves that there is something special here, a special, natural phenomenon. Accordingly, the hatred that the nations of the world feel is also a natural phenomenon, and there is nothing we can do about it. Even those who have never been in contact with the Jews hate them. It comes from the inside. Even a person who has never heard about the cause of his repulsion simply feels that it is different.
This hate is rooted in religions, which only hasten the process by externally emphasizing the difference between the groups. It all stems from the difference between the general desire to receive and the part in which the Light dresses, which has to be the link for others. This is its only role.
Therefore, as it is written, “The Lord thy God has chosen thee.” Do whatever you want, He chose you, and that’s it. No matter how you regard your mission, you will fulfill it anyway because it is His Choice.
There is nothing special about you, but it is simply that, after the division into the “people of Israel” and the “nations of the world,” everyone has his role, his job, his free will. All this is predetermined from Above, and no one is better than another.
So, the children of Israel must teach the method of correction to others. Actually, how else can you bring contentment to the Creator if He initially turned to the nations of the world? The Creator wants to correct the basic desire to receive, but He has to build a system through which the entire process will go. Thus, Israel is the system, so do what you have to do.
Of course, this big desire to receive has to be revealed in the vessels of the nations of the world, but there should be no difference between us and them since it is one, whole vessel. Eventually, everything is revealed in the collective vessel as all its parts connect. As it is written, “He is One and His name is One.” In the general vessel, everything becomes “round,” inseparable.

What’s Inside Is Also What’s On The Outside


Baal HaSulam, “The Arvut (Mutual Guarantee)”: If a part of the nation does not want to keep the Arvut, but rather chooses to wallow in self-love, they cause the rest of the nation to remain immersed in their filth and lowliness without ever finding a way out of their filth.
This refers to a person who isn’t perfect in his efforts to keep the mutual guarantee and in restricting the same desires which cannot keep it. If he has a dilemma and is partially for mutual guarantee and partially against it, he weakens all the other desires that are not corrected yet, meaning, “the nations of the world.”
Besides, the whole world is divided into “Israel” and the “nations of the world,” and it plays an important role in our generation. If we the “people of Israel” are not adapted to the laws of mutual guarantee, we convey to the “nations of the world” that it is okay to remain in the ego and empower them to do so. On the other hand, by our true work in mutual guarantee and connection, we reveal the Light in Israel and by that help the nations of the world correct themselves.
“Israel” are called GE (Galgalta ve Eynaim).  And the “nations of the world” are calledAHP that is under the first restriction (Tzimtzum Aleph). We work on mutual guarantee, not in AHP since it is impossible to do so, but only in GE. However, if to some extent we allow the presence of corruptions that belong to the corrupt desires, if we are lazy, or if we neglect the correction of certain parts, we strengthen the vessels of AHP accordingly.
In the meantime, we are also in contact with the nations of the world, and accordingly the Light influences GE and flows to AHP and to the nations of the world who feel their power.
What's Inside Is Also What’s On The Outside
Thus, our internal division affects what goes on in the world and when nations accuse Israel of anything, they are basically right. If we had corrected ourselves, then there wouldn’t have been any negativity in the world. It all depends on the correction of Israel, and this is where all the global consequences stem from, both the good and the bad.

Either Mutual Guarantee Or Self Love, There Is No Third Option


From Baal HaSulam’s article, “The Arvut (Mutual Guarantee)” (text of the article in bold):
And you evidently find that the giving of the Torah, to a person,had to be delayed until they came out of Egypt, which means until he escapes his ego and decides that he doesn’t want to be connected to it any more.
Only then do they became a nation of their own. Now a person is ready to connect with all the friends in order to develop above the ego.
Then all their needs were provided for by themselves without dependence on others. The group wants to establish itself in a way that only the attribute of bestowal will reside among the friends in order to create and to stabilize the force in order to bestow upon the Creator.
This qualified them to receive the above Arvut, and then they were given the Torah.By that they qualify themselves to the connection called “mutual guarantee,” that is stabilized and revealed to them by the Light that Reforms, called the “Torah.”
It turns out that even after the reception of the Torah, if a handful from Israel betray and return to the filth of self-love… This means that it isn’t speaking about the final success, since they can always return and fall and leave the mutual guarantee. …without consideration of their friends, that same amount of need that is put in the hands of those few would burden Israel with the need to provide for it themselves. This is because those few will not pity them at all. If every member in the group doesn’t invest all his powers and add to the mutual guarantee, to the general mutual connection, or if he completely leaves the way, his power is lacking in the whole system and because of such people everyone descends.
Hence, the fulfillment of the Mitzva of loving one’s friend will be prevented from the whole of Israel. The vessel is called “mutual guarantee,” and the Light, the feeling that fills them, is called “love.”
Thus, these rebels cause those who keep the Torah to remain in their filth of self-love. The “keepers of the Torah” are those who constantly worry about connection and for that draw the Light that Reforms so that their connection will be compatible with the Light and will grow in intensity towards a greater connection with the Creator, such people constantly hold on to the Torah and the Mitzvot (commandments), which means to corrections and connections which are increasingly greater and more complicated.
…for they will not be able to engage in the Mitzva, “Love thy friend as thyself,” and complete their love for others without their help. It is necessary to constantly reinforce the mutual guarantee, the connection among them, and it is there that the Light of love is revealed in an increasingly growing intensity.
As a result, all of Israel are responsible for one another, both on the positive side and on the negative side. “Israel,” which is the yearning for Yashar- El (straight to the Creator) is possible only by mutual guarantee. On the other hand, without mutual guarantee there is no Israel, which means that they are not called “Israel” if there is no mutual guarantee among them.
“Israel” and “mutual guarantee” are synonyms that symbolize the spiritual vessel in which the Light of is revealed.
On the positive side, if they keep the Arvut until each cares and satisfies the needs of his friends… A person worries about the whole general vessel, so that he will be in mutual guarantee and in connection on all sides, in a whole integral system.
They can fully keep the Torah and MitzvotThey constantly add corrections to what is revealed to them. Of course, corruptions are revealed to them, as it was with the children of Israel in the desert. Here the Torah is needed, which means the study and instruction that shows them how to correct the corruptions that are revealed after the exodus from Egypt. By rising above their “Egypt”, the children of Israel begin to stabilize the nation of Israel, by drawing the Light called the Torah and by being constantly on guard, ready to learn how to do that. This action, this process, is the “nation of Israel,” that advances straight to the Creator.
They can fully keep the Torah and Mitzvot, meaning bring contentment to their Maker. And this is actually the goal and the reason for this whole work. Only two states can be here—either mutual guarantee or self-love, it cannot be somewhere in between.

The Aim: Integral Unity!


Question: What should we concentrate on now? Where should we direct our efforts? I mean dissemination and the group work.
Answer: In group work, we should direct our efforts to our workshops on Sundays.
On the other days, there must be at least some classes. I see that there are groups that study seriously. A lesson, in general, is organized and directed towards unity. Practically, the entire course material speaks about this. Even in The Study of the Ten Sefirot, it is speaking about unity, about the connection of souls between themselves. Everything that is described there is only the connection of souls in a single system.
Besides that, we have begun to create courses for training lecturers of the “Mutual Guarantee” movement, that is, lecturers for the 99%. They will become leaders and organizers of workshops, round tables, etc. Today, already around 300 people are ready, and new people are being added; a new wave is coming.
In our country [Israel], we have reached a point where we are invited as permanent lecturers and education consultants in schools, workplaces, city halls, and other places.
I think that within a few months, we will come to a point when the experts, prepared by us, will be able to start working in various organizations. In any case, we are approaching such a state when no business can operate if it’s not internally re-organized and people are not correctly connected with each other into a small integral community. Nothing will work without this!
