Question: Does studying the wisdom of Kabbalah change a person into a lazy super-egoistic person, yearning only for involvement with spirituality and no desire to work in the physical world?
Answer: When a person reaches the wisdom of Kabbalah, it grabs him and pulls his heart so much that he cannot be involved with anything else.
I discovered the wisdom of Kabbalah when I was the manager of a dental clinic that employed 11 doctors and other technical staff. It became very difficult for me to manage the business because I was suddenly immersed into an area that opened a new world in front of me. Even though nothing was clear to me about the wisdom of Kabbalah, this “void” and “emptiness” sparkled and attracted me.
A person begins to discover how this world was created, from where the laws appear in it, what their results are and what is happening with him. Everything that the wisdom of Kabbalah reveals to the person is truly amazing. Moreover, it is revealed in a very concrete and clear form.
A person acquires an absolutely precise view of the world that not even any science provides. Everything else falls from his mind and becomes completely unimportant to him, including this world. In general, the first few months of familiarity with the wisdom of Kabbalah go by like a “rosy mist.” After that the mist gradually dissipates and a gradual sobriety begins. The person somehow begins to find his way around.
It means that the first familiarity with the wisdom of Kabbalah amazes and confuses a person because the next more external sphere relative to our world appears before him. After that he gets used to it, even though it actually could take a long time. Meeting the upper world shocks a person no less than the initial introduction to the wisdom of Kabbalah.
