Question: What qualities should a person have in order to teach this to others?

Answer: He himself must actively participate in unification, learn from this practice, and then he will be able to teach this to others. Kabbalah is the most practical science.

Evening And Morning In Spiritual Work

The Torah, Deuteronomy 16:06: You shall slaughter the Passover offering in the afternoon, as the sun sets, at the appointed time that you went out of Egypt.

The exit from Egypt symbolizes the initial separation from egoism and rise above it. Afterwards the correction continues because disconnection from egoism and rise above it is still not the correction of the ego.

Therefore, the exit from Egypt constantly recurs. Every time you have to take some part of egoism, feel how you come out of it, and start correcting it for the opposite property.

“Evening” is a state when you feel that there is a new evil in you because a night is the beginning of a day, the time when all evil forces, which you collect and expose, emerge. Then the morning comes.

“Morning” does not mean a sunrise, but a sense of confidence that now you can work in bestowal with all these egoistic desires.

All Roads Lead To “The House Of Abraham”

Starting with the first man Adam and onward through twenty generations until Abraham revealed the shattering, all this time humanity was seeking connection with the upper force and with the purpose of creation.

It took twenty generations to come from the point of shattering that was manifested in the first man to the true revelation of the upper force that Abraham accomplished.

Abraham discovered the correct method of work that allowed him to reveal the Creator and also to realize himself by becoming similar to the upper force and adhering to it.

Question: At what point does Abram, an ordinary person, become the forefather Abraham?

Answer: The moment when he begins to attain the program of creation, he turns into the foundation from which starts the new stage of development in a person.

A person was looking for the purpose of creation and of his life and found some deceptive values, which is called, “he was creating idols and selling them.” He sought in what form it is possible to advance, for what it is worth living. However, then he breaks all his fantasies, one idol after another, because he understands that they are incorrect and for them it’s not worth living.

He moves on until he finds the correct, final method and form of advancement. That is, he already has an understanding of his foundations—a good inclination and an evil inclination. He knows how to connect them in the middle line and to bring them to correction, to adhesion with the Creator by uniting, bestowing for the sake of bestowal, and later receiving for the sake of bestowal.

When he finds these foundations for his spiritual work, this means that he revealed Abraham, the father of the nation (Av HaAm) in himself. From this moment onward, he begins to build a new spiritual form in himself.

Abraham is a symbol of spiritual work, a force that is capable of leading some of the desires out of Nimrod’s power, out of egoism. All other Babylonians remain in Babylon, and later we will have to correct all these desires. Today, like in the time of Abraham, humanity must break all the false idols that it created for itself, reduce their value to dust, and then build a new correct form from them.

The world is gradually moving toward this correction. The whole history of humanity unfolded only for the sake of final correction. It seems to people that the events occurred by chance, but this isn’t so. The informational genes, Reshimot, have unwound this way from the first man Adam and on.

The same processes are happening inside every person, inside the people of Israel, who are “the house of Abraham” in relation to the whole world and in the entire world in general. It’s like nesting dolls that nest inside each other. The main thing is that there is one upper force that brings good.

The evil that rises against it also comes from the same source and is created to teach us to distinguish between good and evil, between light and darkness. When we will be able to connect these two opposite forms, then precisely between them we discover ourselves and contact with the Creator.

The middle line connects the Creator above with the man below. And the other two lines, right and left, are required only in order to build the middle line, which is the connection between us and the upper force.

Each person must find Abraham within himself, meaning the foundation for spiritual work that allows him to reveal the Creator and adhere to Him. This is the purpose of creation. And also, it is necessary to bring the whole world, all of humanity, to such a connection into one whole, so that this force, this idea, will unite everyone together.

Acting For The Benefit Of Others

Most important in the spiritual work is to put filters or restrictions on all our thoughts, actions, desires, and words, which would act strictly in one direction: ensure that thoughts in the head, desires in the heart, words in the mouth, and actions by hands all work only for the benefit of others.

However, it doesn’t mean running from hospital to hospital, helping the needy, or assisting old ladies to cross the road, and so on. Nothing like this! We see that this doesn’t give us any results.

There is only one thing left: to pass the upper Light through ourselves to the entire world by becoming one nation, as it is written in the Torah, “And you shall be unto me a nation of Cohens.” If we undertake this and become intermediaries between the entire world and the Creator in order to bestow to Him and to the world, but never to benefit ourselves as “Cohens have no allotment in this world,” then we will bring the whole world to harmony, balance and fulfil our mission.

This is the essence of the chapter Shoftim (Judges), who all the time have to measure and weigh correctly, pass fair verdicts, and control themselves.

End Of The Liberal Idea

In the News (The New Yorker): “Humans think in stories rather than in facts, numbers, or tables, and the simpler the story, the better. The story that has ruled our world in the past few decades is what we might call the Liberal Story. It was a simple and attractive tale, but it is now collapsing, and so far no new story has emerged to fill the vacuum. Instead, we get Donald Trump.

“The Liberal Story says that if we only liberalize and globalize our political and economic systems, we will produce paradise on earth, or at least peace and prosperity for all. According to this story—accepted, in slight variations, by George W. Bush and Barack Obama alike—humankind is inevitably marching toward a global society of free markets and democratic politics.

“The plot line of this story, however, began to lose credibility starting with the 2008 global financial crisis. People who, in the nineteen-nineties and two-thousands, expected that playing by the rules would allow them to rise and flourish suddenly began to fear that they had been duped, and that the system did not work for them. The Arab Spring has turned into an Islamic Winter; authoritarian regimes in Moscow, Ankara, and Jerusalem are abandoning liberal-democratic values in favor of chauvinistic nationalism and religious extremism; and even in the liberal strongholds of Western Europe people are having second thoughts. Now the tidal wave of disillusionment is making its way to the very country that has pushed the Liberal Story to the rest of the planet, sometimes at gunpoint—the United States. As American citizens feel let down by decades of promises and assurances, their disenchantment may sweep Donald Trump into the White House, to the horror and astonishment of the established élites.

“Why are people losing faith in the Liberal Story? One explanation is that this story has indeed been a sham, and that, instead of peace and prosperity, the liberal prescription has produced little more than violence and poverty. …”

My Comment: The victory of Donald Trump suggests that the Creator is making it possible for us to move to development by the way of Achishena (I will hasten it), a reasonable way of development by resembling the laws of nature and not laws that were invented by people or the liberal elite.

The correct use of this development will teach us how to become an integral society with intelligent patterns of consumption, a society that learns how to cooperate mutually, and in this way we will move from “liberal permissiveness” to “conscious unity.” To succeed in this transition, all of us must go through a course of “new education.”

The Plan For Exiting Crisis, Part 4

The strength of society depends on its evaluation by a person.

The brochure “The Crisis and Its Resolution” (Arosa Forum, 2006): The goal of altruistic forces is the formation of new altruistic social and human values.

This conclusion is based on the assumption that nature is a single system, one organism, or one body. This is what the wisdom of Kabbalah asserts and the same is confirmed not only by the spiritual wisdom, but also by ordinary, corporeal science.

Despite the fact that all levels of this organism, from the still, vegetative, and animate to human are different and separated from each other, all their parts are connected by billions of ties and ultimately, everything accumulates into one integral system.

The system of nature operates under altruistic laws. That is, not a single part of this system thinks about itself because naturally it cannot exist in isolation, but only in synergy, a complete good mutual connection with other parts.

Altruism is a good, correct connection between all elements whereby no element separates itself from the others, but rather fulfills its role for the sake of the general system. That is how they are all connected.

The way out of the crisis involves “the formation of new—altruistic— social and human values.” In other words, it is necessary to educate all nations, the entire humanity in the values of a common system of nature. If we do not begin to observe its altruistic laws and stop destroying nature, we will never come out of the crisis.

The crisis will continue in all possible forms. We are merely passing from one form to another and then to the third. This way we have already been through two World Wars. Although they are “world wars” only figuratively speaking in comparison to the true global war that can break out today.

Therefore, the only solution to the crisis is education, an explanation about the general system in which we exist. It is nature that obligates us to keep its altruistic laws, not the invention of some philosopher, a politician, or a party that seeks to take power and rule over others.

Nature pushes us to bring ourselves to an integral form, which according to our actions inside it is called “altruistic,” that is, for the benefit of the other. By the general law of the integral system, everyone works for the benefit of others.

In order to change one’s behavior from the egoistic to the altruistic, a person must change priorities, a hierarchy of values, and make sure that bestowal to society is much more important and beneficial than reception from it.

By receiving a person as if only cares about himself, which is impossible because he is completely tied to society. And in order to receive from society, you need to first correctly connect to it.

The problem is that our connection to society is not altruistic but rather egoistic and consequently, we cannot receive from society what it is able to give us. Society can give us everything. If we correctly connect to nature, there is a complete abundance because all of our desires derive from nature, and it has all the means to satisfy them.

Our only problem is that we do not know how to correctly connect to the system of nature. Correct education is teaching a person how to connect to the whole system of nature, including its still, vegetative, animate, and human levels in an integral, altruistic form.

By this a person achieves harmony with the environment, becomes included into it, and receives from this harmony everything that he needs.

This is not about reception of whatever a personal egoism might desire, but rather about getting his true needs met.

A person has to feel a much greater fulfillment from giving to society than from any egoistical acquisitions. To achieve this goal we have only one means, that is public opinion. There is nothing more important for a person than the opinion of others. To merit the approval of society is the goal of a personal life.

The more a person values and elevates his environment, the more he connects to it and can get nourishment from it. The strength and power of society depends solely on its assessment by a person. If we neglect society, regarding it as insignificant, then there is almost nothing that we can take from it. But if we value society infinitely, we will receive an infinite fulfilment from it.

Everything depends only on how much a person values his or her environment and integrates into it—to that extent he can receive from it.

It Is Impossible To Survive Alone

In the News (MedPulse): “A person, by evolution itself, is not programmed to survive alone. Therefore, we tend to imitate the most, and our health and well-being are directly affected by the presence or absence of social ties. …

“Employees of the University of Texas found that sick people who support friends or relatives recover faster and spend less time in the hospital after admission.

“Experts studied data of more than 119 thousand patients who were in rehab after injury, stroke, and various operations.

“It was found that those patients who were surrounded by the attention of family and friends needed less time to recover. Apparently, the positive emotion from communication has beneficial effects on health.

“Tolerance of pain is associated with the number of friends.

“In the journal Scientific Reports, the results of scientific studies were published [showing] people with many social ties seem to tolerate pain, more so than less ‘socialized’ individuals.”

My Comment: The science of Kabbalah spoke many years ago about the influence of the environment, mutual connection, and unity as the foundation of nature. Now in the 21^st century scientists are finally coming to this. It is difficult for scientists to feel Kabbalah as a science. Only a person with a “point in the heart” is capable of that, someone with a special longing, which depends upon the structure of his soul.

I remember giving a lecture at the University of Miami to 2,000 students, after which I talked with 70 or 80 professors. I explained the main laws of Kabbalah to them. They nodded in agreement and said: “Yes, that is very interesting, so it is here with us too,” and we parted as friends.

I don’t blame them at all, because a person is given a longing for something, like a longing for music. Either he has this desire or he doesn’t.

For example, I have perfect pitch, but I never had a desire to study music seriously for ten hours a day. So the fact that I have perfect pitch doesn’t mean anything.

So it is in Kabbalah. If people have a point in the heart, they will come to study because they feel that there is something interesting here. After that, many of them see the abyss of work that they must do on themselves, and leave.

Question: What does this mean? After all, they have a point in the heart.

Answer: There is a Reshimo de Hitlabshut (information about the Light) and a Reshimo de Aviut (information about the desire). A Reshimo (reminiscence), which shines to a person, pulls him forward, and what he needs to sacrifice for this need is no longer in him.

Therefore, we are waiting for people who are oppressed by the meaninglessness of life. I’m waiting for such a person.

We Will Take Everyone With Us

Question from Facebook: You say that we, the people of Israel, must attain the Creator by uniting together. Is this not egoistic? Wouldn’t it be more worthwhile to pray for the nations of the world?

Answer: You are absolutely right. But for the rest of the peoples to be corrected, we must correct ourselves to the level of the Creator first. Then, to that degree, we can attract and bring the nations of the world closer to the Creator.

The way through which we have already passed is latent in our spiritual genes. So today we must return to it again to attract everyone else after us.

We will not leave anyone in this world behind; we will take everyone with us to the upper world.
