Remark: Jealousy is the desire to completely control the time and all mental and physical forces of another person. It is one of the most powerful, destructive, and painful emotions.
There are several types of jealousy: in children, professional, national, in sports, creative. Doctors have proven that in measuring male stress, physical infidelity of his wife and his jealousy classifies as the most overwhelming blow. In strength, it is comparable to the trauma of losing a loved one.
My Comment: Kabbalah says that jealousy is necessary for our development and explains how to manage it.
The best thing is if we imagine all other people not only as equal to us, but that they also have the right to opinions and actions opposite to ours. Let’s say you and I don’t agree with each other. It is our disagreement, contrast, and opposition that allows us to build a special kind of relationship with each other.
We are not trying to destroy each other but to create a certain space where there is neither you nor me and perhaps something in between. And this something in between will be the next spiritual degree of our development.
Question: So, until one of us attains this third state, jealousy will naturally be a destructive force?
Answer: Yes. And then it will become positive.
Remark: This can be compared to a soup in which we add different ingredients. But when they are cooked together, on one hand, there is a special general taste, and on the other hand, the individuality of each ingredient is not lost. Is it the same with us?
Answer: Yes. On the contrary, individuality grows. I am not giving up on it, I am just saying that the other person can have an opinion too. I build a relationship with him in the middle.
There are no tricks here. This is a cognitive process when a person, exploring himself and nature, builds a middle line.
