Summary:
They key to parenting teenagers is to put them in a good, round environment.Parents need to find external sources of influence that will be respected in the eyes of the teen like a big brother or a slightly older friend. It is best if the environment holds the teen’s positive boundaries. The parent must not play with the child’s trust and must make every effort not to seem evil in his eyes. There is no punishment. The parent gives the message “I am with you.” The youth must feel a sense of shame that arises from within. This is how he will learn to escape from shame and attain dignity.
