All Desires Come From The Creator

Question: In what manner are the desires that I feel derived from the desire of the Creator? I thought that they were derived from the environment.

Answer: The environment is only a conductor. The general desire within which the general intention, the general thought exists, fills all of creation, and this is the intention of the Creator, which is gradually realized in us and which we gradually perceive.

Each one of us and all of us together carry out the actions of the Creator, the thought of the Creator, the program of the Creator, which are basically the same thing.

Everything is derived from Him, and there is nothing else in the world, as it is written: “There is none else beside Him” (Deuteronomy 4:35). We carry out everything that He does with us automatically.

Also, by evaluating His actions, we can achieve a state in which we begin to anticipate them through our yearning for them, meaning that we can attain a state in which we want particular actions of the Creator from the start. If our desires correspond to His intentions, then we will work harmoniously with Him, and our consciousness streams into His consciousness. This is adhesion of the creature with the Creator.

Only The Creator Manages Everything

Question: It is typical for a person to think that he has freedom of choice: freedom to desire, to do, to choose. Why is it said in the wisdom of Kabbalah that a person living in this world has no freedom of choice?

Answer: If a person only saw in what way he is directed from above, how he was brought, sat down, and that question put into his head, he would then understand that, in fact, he is a puppet on a string, opening his mouth, tapping on a keyboard, and asking questions. That is how it is for each one of us.

All of us are puppets on strings. Basically, we are Malachim (angels), meaning little “beasts,” who are carrying out the program of creation through the connection between them.

Question: In other words, you are not insulted when you are told you have no freedom of choice, that you are teaching without free choice?

Answer: I wish that I could truly carry out all actions in full and absolute connection with the Creator, apparently without any doubts or decisions on my side. What I would truly want, is to see how much I am completely managed by Him and that my “self” has become a zero.

After all, everything I feel in the meantime are opposing forces that are acting and saying to me: “You are independent, you decide, you act!” I would rather see that all of this is not so; because in fact, only the Creator manages everything.

And If A Person Behaves Wickedly

Question from Facebook: You say that it is not necessary to correct the person but only the connections between people. But if a person behaves wickedly, is it possible to build a good connection with him?

Answer: The person by himself is like an ordinary animal; his attitude toward others is naturally, inherently evil, as it is written, “the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth” (Genesis 8:21). After all, the term “Adam” – Man, is determined according to his attitude toward others and toward himself.

Question: Is it possible to build a connection with him if his attitude toward others is bad?

Answer: In this case, it is necessary to put him into a society in which he will feel that he cannot communicate correctly with others, and that is why he loses out in life. He will see how the people around him behave, and through them he will understand that if he doesn’t relate to them correctly, he will not create the right connection with them with the right spiritual intention; so he will remain a beast and will end his life in an even worse state than how he began it.

Alone In A Crowd Of A Billion, Part 1

Question: Loneliness is a scourge of modern society. An inner feeling of loneliness lives in a person who is surrounded by a huge number of people. Most of all, this phenomenon is common among young people, and it is gaining momentum and strength.

Teens spend half a day at school where they are surrounded by a lot of friends, and the second half of the day, they spend on the computer in virtual social networks, and nevertheless, they all suffer from loneliness.

Another group for whom the problem of loneliness is especially acute are elderly people aged 65 and older, but generally, loneliness affects all ages. Even a small child who complains that he is bored, in fact, means that he is alone, and he has no one to play with.

Obviously, loneliness is purely an inner feeling not related to how many people are around. What is the reason that people feel lonely?

Answer: The problem of loneliness started emerging from the middle of the last century, growing more and more as humanity came to the peak of its development.

By the middle of the 20^th century, man had completed the “linear” development of his egoistic nature, which lasted for thousands of years. The growth of linear egoism is over; the world has become integral and global and has turned into one small village where everyone depends on each other.

Development has contributed to the fact that today it is easy to travel from one end of the globe to the other. Before this, people traveled only for business and trade. In the modern world, everyone is commuting somewhere—flying, going—and it would seem, how can one feel lonely here? Tourism is the most developed and powerful business in the world, but at the same time, people are still lonely.

Maybe that’s why we move all the time. Perhaps we hope to fill this inner void, this inner need? But, this does not happen. On the contrary, the tourist comes to a foreign country to separate from all others even more.

It would seem that he goes on a journey to see the world, to get acquainted with other countries. But, wherever he goes, he always remains alone, feeling even lonelier than at home. The fact that the world becomes more and more connected externally and more individualistic and separated internally is a paradox.

In the same way, people are interdependent in business and work and cultures influence one another, but no one profits from it personally or feels the need or desire for it.

Egoism within a person grows individually, but at the same time, the world around us forms a global system. There is a gap between a whole and interconnected world and people who do not want to have any connection to each other. On the contrary, egoism grows in them and turns them into ever larger individualists.

Therefore, we see that modern man does not want to accept this world, and the world does not accept man. We just do not fit the framework that nature has made for us. Nature wants us to be together, bound by kind relations, but we do not want this.

The world can easily provide us with everything we need: food, clothing, medicine, housing, absolutely anything, but we do not want to unite as the world requires us to do. Instead, everyone wants to stay on their own. Some time ago, an entire family could live in one room and a few families in one house. The newlyweds lived together with their parents. But today, every adult and every child needs to have a separate room.

Modern technologies encourage this trend (naturally, they work for the consumer). As a result, everyone has a personal mobile phone and a personal email address.

Egoism evolves within a person, increasingly isolating him from others,  and forces us to think about what to do next. After all, our desire to enjoy requires a fulfillment that cannot be obtained alone only for oneself.

“Remember What Amalek Did To You”

Torah, Deuteronomy, 25:17-18: Remember what Amalek did to you along the way when you сame out from Egypt, how he met you along the way and attacked among you all the stragglers at your rear when you were faint and weary; and he did not fear God.

Amalek (an acronym of “Al MenAt LEKabel,” intention “for the sake of receiving”) is an egoistic intention that picks up our weakest desires, steals and kills them by capturing them, working for them egoistically, for itself. This is called the mortification of desires.

Amalek attacked the people of Israel on their way from Egypt to Mount Sinai, meaning that it began to pull them back to Egypt. In other words, after exiting egoism, on the way to the first restriction, ascending above the egoistic level, and receiving the light from above,  Amalek, who is trying to take everything for himself, appears. His task is to bring them back to Egypt if possible, and if not, at least to tear away from them as much as possible.

Therefore, it is necessary to constantly fight with it, because it is the intention against the Creator. Amalek is not private egoistic desires that can be corrected if not now, then later; instead, it is the intention “for oneself,” which cannot be corrected, and can only be reversed. Therefore, it must be killed, and only then can you perform the opposite action of love and bestowal.

It is said that “he did not fear God.” Amalek, like Pharaoh, is not afraid of anything because he is authorized by the Creator to do it. In this, Amalek and Pharaoh are equal.

Can You Learn Hebrew Through Spiritual Attainment?

Question: If a Kabbalah student attains the spiritual worlds, will he automatically know Hebrew?

Answer: This is not a simple question. It depends on the level of a person’s attainment.

If he attains Kabbalah at the highest level, he will definitely know Hebrew, and this language will become the most native internal language for him. With his inner sight, he will see a combination of positive and negative forces that draw letters for him, which he will feel and hear. He will master Hebrew perfectly.

Many years ago, I received a letter from Siberia that was sent to me through many people from a person who was in jail there. Without knowing any Hebrew, he suddenly started to write in this language. When I showed this letter to Rabash he said, “This person experienced great suffering and as a result of it, Hebrew and the spiritual knowledge were revealed to him, which he described absolutely correctly and very highly.”

It is not a miracle, but an attainment. There are no miracles.

Education By Example

Question: Do you think education should begin with adults and then they will educate their children, or is it preferable to begin with children?

Answer: One does not interfere with the other. When a child is educated along with his parents, who are involved in self-education, he internalizes it because an example is important for him.

The best method of education is an example without words. So, if an adult shows something to a child through personal example and explains it a little, this is the best thing.

Why Do We Hate?

Question from Facebook: If we, the Jews, are chosen, then why do we hate each other so much?

Answer: Because we are chosen to be the first to correct our egoism. In order to push us to correction, this egoism evokes mutual hatred in us. This is called “the stiff-necked people.”

As for the rest of humanity, they do not have unfounded hatred for each other.
