Planet Earth Has No Parallel

In the News (Scientific American): “More than 400 years ago Renaissance scientist Nicolaus Copernicus reduced us to near nothingness by showing that our planet is not the center of the solar system. With every subsequent scientific revolution, most other privileged positions in the universe humans might have held dear have been further degraded, revealing the cold truth that our species is the smallest of specks on a speck of a planet, cosmologically speaking. A new calculation of exoplanets suggests that Earth is just one out of a likely 700 million trillion terrestrial planets in the entire observable universe. But the average age of these planets—well above Earth’s age—and their typical locations—in galaxies vastly unlike the Milky Way—just might turn the Copernican principle on its head.

“Astronomer Erik Zackrisson from Uppsala University and his colleagues created a cosmic compendium of all the terrestrial exoplanets likely to exist throughout the observable universe, based on the rocky worlds astronomers have found so far. …

“With the estimated errors taken into account, the researchers conclude that Earth stands as a mild violation of the Copernican principle. Our pale blue dot might just be special after all. ‘It’s not too much of a fluke that we could arise in a galaxy like the Milky Way, but nevertheless, it’s just enough to make you think twice about it,’ says Jay Olson from Boise State University, who was not involved in the study. Both he and Zackrisson think the Copernican principle could be saved by some unknown caveat to the findings. ‘Whenever you find something that sticks out…’ Zackrisson says, ‘…that means that either we are the result of a very improbable lottery draw or we don’t understand how the lottery works.’”

My Comment: We exist in a world of natural laws where the Creator is the highest force of nature that combines everything. Besides this force, or more precisely, this thought, everything is just a figment of our imagination.

In general, we do not exist, except in our subjective sensations. So to talk about other planets and about the possibility of conditions for existence on them is meaningless. It is best to grow into the likeness of the Creator, to feel the true state – only the existence of the Creator, because “there is none else beside Him” (Deuteronomy 4:35).

Correction Of The Relationships Between Us

The problem of the world is that a correct connection between people doesn’t exist. A correct connection is a system in which all the parts are found in mutual relationships between them and in harmony, where all are concerned about the welfare of the entire system and nobody is concerned about his own welfare. In a situation like this, the system is perfect.

When people attain a connection like this between them, they begin to feel nature and not themselves. The nature that they begin to feel is called the “Creator” because they discover its mind, program, and purpose.

Beginning from Abraham, people began to attain the harmony of nature in the connection between them, they discovered the Creator. The students of Abrahambehaved according to the general laws of the world, to the extent that they discovered the Creator. This behavior came to be expressed in daily activities and in the relationship with the environment, and it was derived naturally and directly from their sensations. The activities that the members of the group of Abraham implemented seemed like they were only mechanical actions to someone who didn’t belong to this group and didn’t feel nature and the system of connection between people.

A harmonious mutual connection between people is called “love,” so it is said: “I created the evil inclination, I created the Torah as a spice.” The intention of the word “Torah” is the power of the Creator that is designed to correct the relationships between us, the relationships of egoistic mutual rejection. Involvement with the correction of the egoistic nature of a person is called keeping the Torah, and learning the Torah is called learning the possibilities for correcting the ego.

The general Mitzvah (commandment) of the Creator is correction of the ego to the level of “and you shall love your friend as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18). When a person mechanically performs the associated activities without correcting himself, his ego, this is called maintaining the customs. Since the days when the people of Israel fell from the level of “and you shall love your friend as yourself” to the level of “unfounded hatred,” they have been found in a state of maintaining the customs.

In their internal essence, the people of Israel are a group of people who are found in mutual Arvut (guarantee), yearning to be “as one person with one heart,” and filled with mutual love.

How To See The World Upside Down

Question: How is it possible to feel and see the poor as rich, the fool as wise, and the sick as healthy if a person understands and reflects that all the evil that is around him are his uncorrected characteristics that are intentionally given to him by the Creator for his advancement, and also connects every action that happens in his life with the one and only Creator?

Answer: All of this is discovered along with the feeling of the Creator because it belongs to the full perception of the world that was created by Him.

The Price Of The Sixth Sense

Question: How much does it cost to acquire the sixth sense? I don’t refer to money of course.

Answer: It depends on the attribute a person’s desire is in, on the society he is in, and on the circumstances under which he studiesKabbalah and implements it. So it is impossible to say how we can measure the intensity he has to put into it in order to enter the upper world or even to correct himself.

When a person studies the wisdom of Kabbalah, these measuring units are revealed to him, the units of effort, and then he begins to realize how many such units are needed in order to reach each level. The numbers of these units differ from one person to another.

It is the same in our world: Even if we studied in the same school, the same university, or worked together, each of us would have to make a different amount and quality of effort in order to accomplish the same task.

The Intent Of The Creator

Question: How must a person direct himself toward the correct perception of what is happening with him?

Answer: This is spoken about in the most important article about man’s spiritual work, “There is None Else Beside Him.” Beginning in the morning, you must constantly direct yourself to feel that you are in a world in which the one and only power and will that builds and manages it is theCreator.

And along with everything that you absorb and in spite of anything that may happen to you, you must only strengthen your inclination and yearning within the consciousness that everything that is happening to people and what is around them, including what is happening with you, all is the intent of the Creator. He is the first, and after Him are all the characteristics and features of our world that influence and act upon you.

You must examine yourself constantly, do not begin to lose and divert your attention from your inner intention that everything happening within you and around you is derived only from the single upper force. And despite the internal and external changes, the reason for everything that will happen is that I will not change my attitude toward the Creator as the only reason for everything.

Rejoicing In Purim

Question: Why do we have to drink a lot and rejoice in Purim?

Answer: When it says that we have to drink, eat, and be happy people usually don’t ask questions. On the whole, what brings our body pleasure raises no questions, but in Purim this is raised to a level of a Mitzva (commandment), which means that we have to be happy and to get drunk “until one doesn’t know.” This isn’t meant literally, of course, but when we say “to get drunk and be happy” we refer to the maximum receiving of theLight of Hassadim (Mercy) symbolized by eating and of the Light of Hochma (Wisdom) symbolized by drinking wine.

Once we receive these two Lights, the joy appears and all of a person’s attributes participate simultaneously. All the attributes that a person has acquired are included in this joy starting from the lowliest and most negative attributes to the most sublime and highest attributes. Thus, by using all of our capabilities in this state we attain theCreator.

It is actually in this state that the holiday is considered successful. Thus, we should reach a state where a person actually loses control, “loses consciousness,” until he cannot tell the difference between good and evil, because all the evil has already been corrected and is aimed at goodness.

This doesn’t mean that he has to fall unconscious, but simply reach a state in which he realizes that the Creator has not created anything that is evil. The state in which all the evil is corrected into goodness actually gives a person the height of his attainment, which is expressed by joy and gladness. In this state there is a sharp encounter between the lowliest attributes and the most sublime ones and they support and justify each other.

This is the end of correction. In Kabbalah it is called a state in which “love will cover all transgressions.” It’s when all the sins, the evil, the oppositeness, the hate don’t disappear but are revealed and on top of them love appears. Therefore, the first commandment is the commandment of fear, and above it there is the second commandment which is the commandment of love. This is the only way by which the contact between a person and the Creator is attained, the understanding and the identification with Him and with what He has done for a person. At the same time all the barriers disappear and everything becomes for the sake of unity.

Comment: What a pity that Purim is only one day…

Answer: No, it is a state that lasts forever. We can attain it in one day and then it continues forever, since a person understands and perceives that it was all done by the Creator in an opposite manner, as it says: “I have created the evil inclination, and I have created the Torah as a spice,” in order to reach the state of the end of correction called Purim, which means the uppermost level of the Creator.

This is the ultimate, ideal, and perfect state. We have to help one another yearn for the end of correction and do our best so that everyone should reach this state as soon as possible. This concludes the revelation of the wisdom of Kabbalah. It is only according to this method that we can reach such a high level among us called Purim.

Masquerading On Purim

Question: Why is it a custom to masquerade on Purim?

Answer: Purim is the exposure of our previous states because each of us is actually evil! We masquerade as different figures both wicked and righteous: On one hand as Haman and Ahasuerus, and on the other as Mordecai and Esther. Purim is a carnival. We hide our faces behind masks because it is about the revelation of goodness and evil when you totally lose your identity, your face, and cannot tell the wicked from the righteous, because they are totally mixed and support each other as we move towards theCreator.

It is actually by the right combination between the wicked and the righteous that we attain adhesion, connection, closeness, equality, and identification with the Creator. We can masquerade as anything and even several times. We can wear a double costume: a mask of a righteous in the front and a mask of a wicked from behind, or vice versa. Purim is the last correction of humanity from evil to goodness when the absolute evil is revealed and changes into goodness.

Where Is Europe Headed?

Question: Why is Europe suddenly facing such difficult times?

Answer: The Creator in every way wants to lead His creation to a single form, to the total integral connection between everyone on all levels, and then to the form that can also be adhered to Him. This is the aim of our development and the purpose of the evolution of the universe, of our planet, of the still, vegetative, and animate levels of nature, and especially of man. This goal will certainly be achieved by nature, i.e., by its rigid force of evolution or by realizing the goal of creation by man and its wise fulfillment.

Humanity has already reached the last phase of its development in which society has to be united. It can either unite despite the egoism that separates everyone or by the terrible sufferings that our egoistic evolution will bring about that will force us to choose to unite in order to avoid the terrible sufferings.

The plan of creation is leading Europe toward the goal even before other nations since it is the most developed continent and therefore the most egoistic, divided, and mutually dependent on unity. This will happen along the path of sufferings or along the path of unity that is achieved willingly and consciously. The process of unity is not the unity of banks or other organizations but unity stemming from educating people and bringing them closer to one another, as one nation!

The whole world has started the fulfillment of the process of unity since the middle of the last century. It may take many more years of suffering or even another world war, but all of humanity will be united just as all of the Creator’s goals will be attained.
